Re: Disgusted (79,341) (79,344) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Ok but that's just a rumor. For all we know it's fake. A surgery like this takes a lot of time to heal but MC has been photographed out and about pretty frequently. Also remember that clothes (and spanx) can really alter your body by creating illusions. The only thing dramatically slimmer is her face and that could just be because whatever caused her face to bloat a while back is gone.

Re: TMZ (79,337) (79,343) by Lila from United States
Yes, he's trying to embarrass her. I also think he's trying to extort money. That still doesn't inherently mean that Mariah's actions wouldn't be construed as sexual assault by a judge or anyone else just because his motives for coming forward aren't pure. These two things are not mutually exclusive. Maybe it's just me but I felt that this draft was about reading between the lines. This isn't Mariah was just dressed inappropriately. This is Mariah forced her employee to view her naked body by wearing a see-through and open negligee - emphasis on see through and open - although, he had no desire to hence his offer to come back later, which she turned down, forcing the employee into an uncomfortable situation. While that's not on the level of raping someone, it could still be viewed as a violation and who knows how many other uncomfortable situations this guy is going to come with, even if he is exaggerating. A judge could say no she did not sexually harass you but I can't be too quick to throw out the opposite outcome occurring either as you just never know. I do agree that Mariah will survive this.

Disgusted (79,341) by Randy from USA
Disgusted by the fact that MC had an irreversible surgery meant for morbidly obese people for vanity's sake. You lost the weight when Jenny Craig gave you a check after you had twins at 46 during which time you were mostly on bedrest. You want to lose weight? Drop the splashes. It's empty calories. You feel insecure about your body or internet trolls? Stop wearing leotards. For someone who claims they care about 12 year old fans emulating her, it's amazing she just sent a message that lazy people can now have weight loss surgery, if they have the money.

Re: Innocence and guilt (79,336) (79,340) by TJ from Norway
It's like: would it be ok if a male singer or actor had made his female worker bring him his luggage while lying in bed, wearing nothing but underwear. I don't say that Mariah did do anything wrong, because I wasn't there, but it's the same rules for both genders. It's important for those who have jumped on the social media wagon of vigilant to rethink statements about other famous people who has been accused. There's too many posts about that here. It's not ok to say that he should know that she dresses like that and that she's flirty, when we would have said the opposite if it was a male celebrity.

Re: Innocence and guilt (79,336) (79,339) by Luke from United Kingdom
Andrew the difference is he said he feels harassed because of her clothing. The other allegations coming out about other men aren't just one random source about a certain type of clothing. There are 2 or more people accusing one person of similar acts and most of them include bodily contact of some shape or form. This article said him or Mariah didn't touch each other, she just asked him to move her luggage while wearing clothes she always wears and which said clothing has basically become her "look" for the past 10 years. If he'd of said she locked the door and fondled his package while dribbling champagne down his body I'd think differently, I'll also feel differently if 3 other people come forward and tell similar stories. Until then this is a scumbag praying on a kind hearted woman who unfortunately struggles seeing any bad in people.

Re: TMZ (79,335) (79,337) by RibbonB from USA
True, anyone can allege sexual harassment in the work place because it is about personal perception, but a human resources rep. Judge or whomever adjudicates such claim will use common sense standards. This guy seems obviously about trying to embarrass MC in addition to trying to extort money from her after such poor security with the recent theft at her home. And if idiots want to conflate these allegations of improper dress to the level of pig Weinstein and piglet Rather, then they can just look foolish. These men and others have been accused of rape, assault and much more horrible forms of harassment by multiple credible sources, not just by tabloid allegations. I'm not sure why Mimi played with fire with this team and her public display of blurred boundaries, but she will survive and she should. Stella is an old boil that Mimi finally lanced, now she has to ride out the infection.

Innocence and guilt (79,336) by Andrew from UK
Much to GG's boring protestations in the hope for some thumbs up, I have to ask again, what is the difference? People are accused of something and they are sentenced by media and social media. Mariah is accused and the accuser is suddenly a liar. I am not for an instant suggesting I believe Mariah to be guilty. But therein lies the point. Silly attitudes to these things online and really dangerous. Good for the good good for the gander is a saying in my country. Principles apply across the board. You can't pick and choose. Just as racist people call people racists then tell them not to even far doubting themselves to be racist because they would be racist for doing so. Really, opinions here are very teenage magazine.

Re: TMZ (79,320) (79,335) by Luke from United Kingdom
I don't know if i'm different to other people but I don't walk past a sensually dressed lady on the weekend and think that I've been harassed because of her clothing. It would be a different scenario if he communicated with her (if it's even true) and asked her to wear different clothes. He didn't. There's no way this claim is going anywhere and there's no way he'd win, it's simply to drag her name through the mud.

I've just seen the "story" on the vip news on tv. It's so dumb and ridiculous this "security man" should be ashamed. I hope he never finds a job again in the security industry, such a pathetic actor. Yes, what a coincidence that he feels harassed straight after the separation of the circus leader aka Stella, formally known as the witch. This bad press is so unnecessary.

Funny how this comes out now when 1) these harassment claims are coming out left and right now. And 2) when her and Stella part ways. Interesting.

First time here, Mimi scandal (79,331) by Nonna from Ukraine
My name is Nonna. I've been on this forum forever and read so many messages of all different people. I was always passive and just observed. Being a fan of Mariah Carey, seeing ups and downs during these past 3 years, I stayed quiet. I've seen people support her or criticize, fighting with each other and so on. But this time around after sexual harassment scandal I really can't take it. Reading haters comments, I can't believe people believe this nonsense. Like seriously. An adult, bodyguard, man could complain about Mariah's attention. Like yeah, she's so scary, poor guy. How they even came up with this idea? Isn't that ex bodyguard embarrassed for himself? This is so rediculous. I'm so happy Stella the manager is gone and Mimi is being herself again but bad news is coming and I'm afraid things will turn nasty soon. Anyways, nice to meet everyone. I see some guys are very knowledgeable here, can somebody tell me how these things work. Did Stella call the magazine and asked to post this nonsense? Did she team up with that bodybuilding monkey to bring Mariah down? They worked with her, slept in her house, she payed them salary. Is it possible these people are so ungrateful?

2009 or 2010 was the last time she had a different hair color for a while. At least while performing.

Actually it looks as if most people are defending Mimi and think the security guard is after money. Check out the shaderoom for example, whom's comments are usually brutal towards MC. I think people are realizing that she is being bullied and enough is enough.

The Lambily speaks the truth. Why would she sexually harass (or hire) someone that she labeled a Nazi?

Mariah's cleaning house (79,327) by Terna from Nigeria
With Stella and Big Jim Wright gone and a new manager hired, I guess it's safe to say it's a new dawn for Mariah. I won't be surprised to see her cut more ties and hire new people, especially in the music side of things - new collaborators, new producers, if possible new background singers. And reconnecting back with people she hasn't worked with for a while (Afannansief, Babyface, Stevie J, Cory Rooney) just to see if that magic can be recaptured, a proper Missy Elliott track while she's sober too won't hurt. Crowing it all with a fresh makeover complete with that tired blonde hair gone. (When last did Mimi rock her real hair color? I bet the younger Lambs don't even know she isn't blonde. Lol.)

Sexual harrassment (79,322) by 90sMariah from SG
Well, Reddit has already picked up the story and it's now on its frontpage. Mariah's already fragile reputation will never be able to survive this and whoever started this story must be laughing their ass off. Poor Mariah.

Merry Christmas III You (79,321) by Edouard from France
In a way Mariah has given us 3 Christmas albums. Let's try to name all the Christmas songs she has recorded that do not appear on the 2 albums she has released:
- Joy to the world (remix)
- AIWFCIY (So, So, Def remix)
- Oh Holly Night (2000 version) Okay it does appear on an album but it was first a non-album track.
- AIWFCIY (remix with Justin Bieber)
- AIWFCIY / Oh Santa mashup
- Santa Claus is coming to town (remix)
- When Christmas Comes with John Legend
- The Star
- Lil' Snowman
And...
-Where Are You Christmas, which to me is a Mariah song. And you can tell Faith Hill is singing to a Mariah demo. The way she sings is very Mariah-esque. Love it.

Re: TMZ (79,302) (79,320) by Lila from United States
I didn't even think of that but you are so right. Many people will definitely believe this and this is just more sh.t to pile on her already piss poor public image. Then to make it worse this is coming on the heels of not only Harvey Weinstein but her lil' friend Brett Ratner. Horrible timing. However, I also think this nonsense is the chickens partially (who knows why else they're about to throw out) coming home to roost on Mariah's lack of boundaries between the professional and personal. Case in point, her wearing lingerie in mixed company. Whether this guy is lying or not or exaggerating the truth, we all know that Mariah likes to walk around in lingerie, it doesn't always matter who is around. He's definitely basing his accusations in reality, which is a point in his favor. This could be construed as sexual harassment by a judge. Sexual harrassment is a huge grey area. What one person defines as sexual harassment another might not consider to be so. What one party might be thinking is innocent on their part, another could think to be lewd and uncomfortable. That's why you have to be so careful what you say and do. Mariah can say that she's innocent but it'll be her word against his. If a judge ruled in his favor (should it make it that far and even if she's innocent) it'll look bad. If she settles out of court, the court of public opinion could still very well deem her guilty. It could very well be a lose-lose.
