Honestly (78,400) by Ben from Sweden
Honestly I see Mariah as just some accidents that happened on the web. An awesome magician, musician.

Doesn't anyone get it? There is no new album. Never was. She's working on songs here and there but if you you think she was crafting a cohesive body of work like MIAM or Butterfly 2.0 then you've been fooled. Remember how long it took her to make the last album? Touring is the new Mariah. I'll be surprised if she ever releases another album again.

Hip Hop Honors was taped yesterday. I saw lots of videos on Instagram. Let's see. Mariah doing the Honey remix with Brat, JD and Mase and doing a whole damn dance thing. She can't even move like a normal person, why dance? Every step she takes someone is there to help her walk from a to b. She's stiff, awkward and looks uncomfortable The dancers need to go and never come back. After the Honey lazy dance went viral you're up there doing the same thing and the whole r&b/hip hop fans are watching tonight. You know what would be dope. A laid back acoustic performance. Always Be My Baby and Breakdown with Brat, JD, Xscape and Bone Thugs. You guys tell me what you like. A stiff Honey performance with lots of dancers and shit going on or just Mariah with her guest doing an acoustic performance.

I love the idea of celebrating "Butterfly" because it's my top 3 MC albums but I don't know what to expect from this show really. I mean with MW, it was supposed to be a behind the scenes of the SSFT, but we barely got anything directly related to the behind the scenes (rehearsals, vocal warm ups, dress rehearsals) of the show and more of Mariah's crew messing around, we also barely got 2-3 minutes of concert footage. Also this other world tour idea is great, but then what about her new album? When will she release with? When will she promote it?

Amazing. Just a reminder how great she was. I miss those days.

Ofcourse. I was wondering why Bryan was still around. Another supposed "docuseries". It will be Mariah's World part 2 and focused on her fake love story.

Great post Mara, I couldn't put it any better. I've been listening to the album non stop since the anniversary. It's amazing. I am still discovering things buried in the background even after my 10,000th listen or whatever it is now lol. Even more so now those acapella leaks have highlighted other nuances I wasn't aware of. It really is a stunning album.

Butterfly - the videos (78,391) by MusicfanJ from Germany
I was watching all the videos of the album and like Mara and others said, it's just pure and beautiful art. It was a time where videos had class, style and sometimes even a little message. They definitely all had a story. Maybe the celebration of "Butterfly" reminds Mariah that she's not only a living legend and a famous diva, she is a true artist. A musical genius, in 97 everyone with taste could see it. It's time to show it in 2017 again. The music biz is so boring nowadays, I need a new album from MC.

Happy anniversary Butterfly (78,390) by Tameka walker from United states
This is one of my favorite albums by her. She is so legendary, she is the best singer in the known world, period end of discussion. No other singer can touch her. She is definitely in a class of her own, not only does she have a legendary voice but her pen game is on point. So many people have written her off or whatever and all I can say is that you can not write off a geniune talent like hers. In my heart I know she can come out with another album as good as Butterfly. I was a fan from the moment I heard her voice. I was only 11 or 12 when she first came out. I was totally memiorze by her talent.

Close My Eyes (78,389) by Todd from Melbourne, Australia
I was lucky enough to see Mariah sing this live in Melbourne in 2013. I just wish I had been sober enough to remember it. Ooops.

Another one. This time the isolated layers in the "Close My Eyes" bridge. Stunning.

Butterfly20 (78,387) by Mara from United States
I am loving all the love and reviews this amazing, timeless album has been getting. This album is her defining moment, her mark, it was simply perfection in every way. From the album cover, photo, colors, font, to every detail, every song, every harmony, every poetic word she placed in every song. It was like a painting, that none of us needed eyes to see. Not to mention how liberated she was in every way during this time. She had all of this, plus Walter to only add to the magic that was and is Butterfly. What more could you ask for? These "leaks" we have gotten last night are "transcending", they are heavenly. Her voice was literally all that was needed. I swear the music takes away from the song. I have never heard anything or anyone like it. She is such a gift, I only wish she kind of took a little better care of it along the way. I know that is easier said than done, living in the real world. Either way, she still has the best voice not to mention ear for music and harmonies. Just longing for more of it while she is still capable of doing so. I saw how active she was on Twitter today and you can tell she was truly loving the love Butterfly was getting and reliving a lot of the memories today. Between that and the honor she is getting at the Hip Hop Honors, I hope she is at a good place with her self esteem and goes out there and either gives a stellar performance or acceptance.

Happy Butterfly anniversary (78,386) by Haiji Toro from USA
Hope everyone is doing well and staying blessed. For those having to still deal with all been going on the past few months, whether it be hurricane issues or other personal stuff, my prayers are with you and your loved ones. I'd like to say, I'm feeling all types of ways for this anniversary. Mainly excitement for the vinyls and acapellas, although I wished for a bit more, but hey, I'll take whatever for now. I do wanna put out there that I myself have been working on some stuff for this anniversary. I had an idea back in February and have been nonstop working towards this special occasion. Of course, I'm no professional, so once you do check out what I have in store these next days to next few weeks, hopefully the lambs will enjoy them. I do wanna wait to see what she has coming up for it, although I believe I saw a release date in October. Not sure if I can wait that long, so if any suggestions, I'd really appreciate opinions about when I should start uploading to my YouTube account. Anyways, may you all stay well and full of faith.

The acapellas (78,385) by Terna from Nigeria
This should be one of the many treats she was talking about in the anniversary video she posted yesterday. I'm loving every moment of it. "Outside" in acapella just took the song to another whole new level for me and let's not even get started on "Babydoll", those harmonies and that bridge so intense. You're practically levitating mid track literally. Lol. Thanks Mariah for the treats we're loving the healing your voice is giving us. Oh, and happy 20th anniversary to the album that made me a certified Lamb - Butterfly.

Wow another masterpiece. One said in the comments, that the fans should make "Butterfly" number one. I know it's not realistic but I love the thought. Imagine this, Mariah would hear that her true fans/lambs made "Butterfly" number one. Usually that happens when the artist is g. (I won't say it). Hmm I hope Mariah knows how this record is loved and appreciated by those who counts. Her songwriting and voice on that album is pure perfection, pure emotion and 100% MC.

Article: Mariah Carey's Butterfly is the truth: the album at 20 (78,379) by Lainsky from Philippines
Remains the best album for me of all time. I can still remember how my jaw dropped in shock upon seeing her transformation. However, I absolutely love it. Musically and artistically, she's at her best in this album. She is who she is. Hopefully in her next album another transformation of her would take place... a real full-grown, mature Butterfly musically, artistically, and as a woman.

20 years later: The secret history of Butterfly album (78,378) by Special K from USA
Mariah, "Breakdown really is one of my favorite songs on the album. One day I'll tell you the full story behind that song. I definitely knew I wanted to work with Bones Thugs-N-Harmony going into it." Mariah, girl you better tell us, lol. Stevie J, "When you have someone with that type of writing ability. Her pen game is lethal." Butterfly is Mariah's Magnus Opus. I was listening to Close My Eyes this morning. Talk about a lyrical masterpiece. Great article by Essence and a very happy 20th anniversary to Butterfly.

Re: Outside (acapella) (78,373) (78,377) by Lee from UK
Mariah used to have so much control over her voice. I hope she gives us more of this some day. The song is full of so many runs and riffs and they are executed extremely quickly. Every note planned to perfection.
