I just found this pre recorded version of Heartbreaker. It's awesome . I'm trying to see if I can find an acapella version of Bliss. All I've found is the isolated whistles at the end. I need the whole song for my life to be complete. Lol.

The Black Card is limitless. Only a select few even qualify for it and Mariah is among the select few that qualify.

I'm all for a Mariah and Bruno collaboration. Where did you read or hear that they are working together? If Mariah's going to work with rappers why not work with legends like Jay-Z or Drake (not saying he's a legend but he will be).

First night back in Vegas (76,993)
by Licia from USA
| |
|

I just watched a few of the performances. Although she sounds better than she did in Baku it was still rough, but I'm cutting her some slack because it was the first night and she has shown in previous shows that the more she performs the better her vocals get. I'm hoping for the best.

I didn't get upset with JD until he made disparaging comments about MC. I didn't like the fact that he said she didn't or wasn't taking her career as seriously as she should when her marriage was imploding.

I would love to see what the album cover looked like before Reid had them redo it. I'm thinking it was a simple close up of her face. The photo was probably used as a single cover or magazine cover.

Yes "Without you" is a big international hit. When she sang it on tour in Germany the crowd were freaking out by the first to three seconds and were blown away when she started the chorus. Her aura is so special. I've been to a lot of concerts but with Mariah it's like you're watching a living world wonder. It's magical to see and hear her live. I have no other word for it. So thanks for the link.

I love LA Reid for that and boy am I glad she did, the reshoot, the whole theme produced the most epic album artwork ever for any album cover by a female artist. And a befitting one for a title such as "The Emancipation of Mimi". Damn. The stars aligned for that era. And only for Mariah. Lol.

Same here. I didn't like when she hired Randy either. She should know by now that you don't mix your personal life with your professional life. Stella doesn't want to help Mariah, she wants to be Mariah. Single White Female part two. I don't think this relationship will end well but I'm sure Mariah had her whole team sign nondisclosure agreements. Doing a Billboard profile instead of doing damage control after the NYE debacle was something else entirely. She also admitted that she stalked Mariah and that she begged Randy to introduce her and he refused and she eventually met Mariah through Ratner. I wonder if Mariah even knows Molly wasn't Stella's assistant? She's toxic and fake.

Stella, we need a DVD of the Vegas shows and of the SSFT stat. This is what the fans want. If you are about making Mariah and yourself money, put out these two DVDs. She looked great and had a lot of great vocal moments. She needs actual professional footage of these shows. I love this video of her singing Without you in Mexico. It was shot on her "bad side" and still looked beautiful sitting there in that gown. Side note: how the heck did the video reach a million videos?

This is so magical. I love the vocal changes Mariah did in this clip. So glad we at least got one song out of them. I remember Whitney being quoted in an Ebony interview that she thought Mariah was a smart girl and wanted to do additional projects with her in the future. Shame this never happened.

They gave JD the blues and then they got mad at him for defending himself against them. Lol I've always said he was never given a fair shot. Who knows how that era would have turned out if Mariah had been fully committed to it. Quite honestly everyone involved dropped the ball from the record company on down to Mariah. JD just got the biggest backlash and Mariah never defended him in the way she defends Stella. I believe he really wanted to help her, but he got a lot of push back from Mariah. I'm just glad they managed to remain friends even though it seems they took a break away from each other. We lambs tend to blame everyone around her when things don't go right (I'm guilty of doing it in the past, but I'm better now lol). It's a never ending cycle. Lol.

Suggestions (76,979)

I think MC should work with anyone who will force her to move her pen beyond the uninspired stuff as of late. Honestly Miguel has not been a hit since his second album and since Beautiful he has not had a hit song or album. But as an artist I appreciate his music. Not a Frank Ocean fan at all he is definitely overrated. I would not mind her working with Happy Perez and Bruno production team. I think should also try some 90 inspired producers as that sound is on trend but add the MC flare like with Memiors that is the Tricky Stewart Dream sound all over it and production wise the album became stale very quickly.

Re: Wrapping up Vegas / Anthony for manager (76,972) (76,978)

I think JD and Randy left instead of them being fired. I mean they stepped down from their roles and were not fired. Stella is still around because she would never willingly step down. Anthony should never have been fired. He should have been kept as her creative director for her live shows. He kept things real and didn't mind showing his annoyance when Mariah wouldn't cooperate. Anthony was the only professional one too, look at what a great job he did with Beyonce's performance right after he left Mariah's team. This will be Mariah's first Vegas leg without Anthony. Wonder what changes they made.

TEOM cover was so legendary, I'm glad LA pushed her in that direction if it was his idea. The cover just exuded confidence and sex appeal. Perfect cover for an album that went on to become iconic. I remember Mariah talking about how she almost changed the cover because people were saying that she looks like Beyonce on the cover and so Mariah wanted to change it (not because she doesn't like Beyonce) because she didn't want people to think that she was ripping off someone's style but then she decided to keep it. I'm glad she did because I love that cover and the platinum edition one.

Exactly. JD has way more connections than Stella and he's the head of So So Def Records. He's also a success talented songwriter and producer. I think he knows that he needs to modernize his sound (just like Mariah). Both JD and Mariah need to update their signature sounds. They need to embrace modern R&B, Alternative R&B, pop, funk, and neo soul like Miguel and Frank Ocean. Mariah's last hit was when she did so. Why she didn't work with the same writer and producers Frank and Mugue work with instead of Mike Will Made It or whatever he calls himself instead of their producers is beyond me. Mariah used to have her finger on the pulse of the music that needed to be made. She used to set trends. She invented (she may not have actually invented it but made it popular). She also needs to work with The Smeezingtons, Bruno Mars, and The Weekend. She has to write great lyrics like she used to simple poetic, and heartfelt. If she did all of the [...] she'd be able to make a comeback. Of course she's going to have to humble herself and look and sound her best. She needs to dress like she did during her stint on AI.

New unheard Fantasy vocals (acapella) (76,974)
by Bill from the UK

Hi all, found this video on YouTube with some unused acapella vocals from Fantasy. It sounds like it may have been a re-sung version for the remix as she sings the "whatcha gon' do when you get out of jail" line.
