Clone (75,451)
by Lara from Middle East

You know all these videos on YouTube with the clone theories and how at some point some celebrity got replaced by a clone? I used to laugh at them. Not sure if I'm gonna laugh now if I see one about Mariah.

I believe Nick wants to help his kids and to help his ex-wife help herself, but not the circus she has latched onto. I said before I would welcome a reunion of these two if it's real, but I don't see it with Stella involved. Stella is fake, fake, fake and Mariah is therefore fake or so it seems. If Mariah won't help herself, how much can Nick do? The last resort of course is to take the you know whats. Hopefully NC and MC agreed to some better boundaries with respect to those kids. Stella is desperate, Mariah is acting desperate and it is all so silly.

I have to say I didn't expect it. New trash actions okay but this particular move of bringing this ninny back up that I didn't expect. I don't think Nick took the bait either. I guess that means we now have to get back on the merry go round of her "dating" blah guy to to try to get Nick jealous and making a public fool of herself 24/7.

Media whore? (75,448)
by Edward from USA
| |

I don't quite understand why Mariah keeps trying with these fake relationships. I think that at some point Nick was buying into it, but kind of backed down. She used to be mysterious and elusive, now she's just like any other reality TV persona seeking media attention. She's known by the new generation but anything but music. It's sad. Then some people wonder why there's a disconnect between her fans and what she has become being the main act at Cirque Du Stella. Is anybody being real to Mariah, at all?

Interesting LA Reid article (75,445)
by RibbonB from USA
| |
|
|
This article is very telling, it mentions The Emancipation of Mimi supposedly not selling well in the UK and even claims that the label head said he did not make money on it. There are also interesting tidbits on artists supposedly turning on him after success. The recording industry is certainly cut throat. In light of LA being accused of sexual harassment, it is no surprise that the hired help is still around or never left. I mean how can she fire an employee that she contracted to be her bf, or to pretend to be her bf on a reality show? Still this is a messy proposition. I actually don't care what she does in that aspect of her life or who she does, but again it all boils down to who she allows around her children and involving them in her circle or circus is sad and bound to be confusing.

Yes, could be true. But it's sad to fill time with such things. It's all so annoying with the team around Mariah lately. When will it stop? Everytime I hope Mariah wakes up and creates a new team with only professionals. And then we get new stuff that seems developed for a soap-opera. Why? Her team only wants money and doesn't care of Mariah and the lambily.

Completely agree. They sound nothing like her and the answers were weird. They were probably just waiting to get one question with which they can reply that "oh Tanaka is here" because they probably expected a question like "what happened between you and Tanaka" but when that didn't happen they just took a random question and plugged in Tanaka's name. As if Tanaka gives 2 craps about her Twitter sessions.

Fans don't equal album sales (75,441)
by Jeff from USA
| |
|

I'm curious for the board's opinion. I know a lot of people who say they are fans of MC, some even say they are lambs, but these people haven't bought a Mariah album since TEOM. MC has millions of followers and can command $3 million for performances, so where are the sales? Just curious about the disconnect. Anyone have any ideas?

It's really pathetic to see what has become of Mariah's team. An illiterate, unprofessional manager, an equally illiterate unprofessional "social media manager". Instead of wasting money on these losers she could have easily hired an efficient team who could actually do something to help her career.

It changes with my mood, tbh. But currently, the list would look like this: 2. Troye Sivan 3. Beyonce 4. Twenty one pilots 5. Lana Del Rey 6. Tori Kelly 7. Whitney 8. Aretha That's based on their songs and albums alone. For live performances, the list changes again, but the important thing is, y'all know who the number one is.

I love the Cranberries. The lead singer has an amazing voice. Paula Cole also has an amazing voice and she can hit high notes ( I don't care for her music but she can sing).

Why not? Mariah's covered it before. I never listen to the original anymore I only listen to Mariah and Luther's version. They slayed that song and took it to new heights, vocally. I love Ms. Ross but her voice is paper thin.

Whitney, Celine, Britney, Christina (from her debut album until the end of the Back to Basics era), and Pink. I loved Beyonce until she released 4. I hate that album and Beyonce and Lemonade.

Long Ago has always been of my favorites. I remember requesting the dj at a skating rink play it and he did and I was in heaven. He thanked me afterwards, he thought that her best songs were her singles until I told him otherwise.

It didn't sound like her at all. In fact, the answers didn't sound like anyone giving a natural reaponse to what was asked. One fan asked how Roc and Roe are doing. Mariah's account answered that the kids are singing and loving it. That response, when the person just asked of their overall wellbeing, is weird in my opinion. Naturally, a person would at least lead with saying that the kids are doing well. Sounded like an opportunistic moment to give fans some fake thrill of the idea of Roc and Roe following in mommy's footsteps. Another person mentioned that they were listening to The Wind and Mariah's account answers that she hasn't thought of that song in forever *cry emoji* and then thanks the person for remembering it for her *double heart emoji*. I'd actually say that Mariah would've said something more personal in regards to the person and the song. Also, while Mariah can't think of every song she's ever written and sung all the time, the wording makes it seem like she truly forgot about one of her songs, which I doubt she ever would. It really came across as a throw away comment that you give to a person when you can't actually contribute to the topic. Then of course we have that stupid reply of "you're 100% right, Tanaka's here saying the same thing" in response to a fan saying "I love these twitter moments so you can connect with Lambs could you do it more often? So excited for everything you are doing." Sounds like the tweet was used just to have an excuse to bring up Tonka Toy because otherwise, you'd think the natural response would be "I love it too", or something along those lines to show reciprocation of also loving being closer to the lambs/fans. Then, the likelihood that Tonka Toy just really happened to be there on that night, saying the same thing as the fan and then the stupid picture. Very random. All the emojis when Mariah doesn't or seldom use emojis. Ugh.
