"Lilie's Blues" (72,395) by Billy from Greece
What a beautiful song and boy would MC sound amazing singing it today.

Re: Weird era (72,386) (72,394) by Gigi from USA
That's my concern too. Yes, the video went #1. Heck, even my 64-year-old mother saw it (along with the fishnet gym picture). And guess what? She called me and said, "Honey, I know you like Mariah, but something is seriously wrong with that woman." It was unfortunate to hear, but I can't defend her anymore. Clicks mean nothing.

The era was beautiful, the tour was soulful and she looked sexy.

I Don't / the new marketing model (72,392) by Butterfly from
"I Don't" is a throwaway. The lyrics are below average. Her tone is not listenable anymore. All I hear is Mariah mumbling her way through songs nowadays. She really needs a vocal recovery which requires stop smoking weed, put the bottle down and rest properly. She should really listen to "Touch My Body" and We Belong Together". Clear, smoothly, natural and tender vocals. I don't think Mariah understands the new marketing model for musicians. It's not about you being all up in the public eye or viral moments (I rather call them embarrassing viral moments). It's about quality and being respected by the people. She really depends on a magnificent image.

If Brett is a good friend, why recommend a person who doesn't have an experience and credibility on managing stars like Mariah? And Mariah for eventually hiring her, what is she even thinking? Didn't she have that other options or even advisers to make an awful decision like that? She's more than this, she deserves better than this. Quality first before everything. Having a phenomenal era in the 90's and that Glitter meltdown to Emancipation, she should know by now how these things work. Can we turn back time? Ugh.

Stella shot down allegations (72,387) by RibbonB from USA
Well Stella shot down that rumor with a quickness. I still hope there will be no season two.

Re: Weird era (72,375) (72,386) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
That is my concern as well, that this whole "I Don't" went to #1 thing will be inflated and presented to Mariah. Stella will use these to justify what an amazing work she has done so we can expect them to be around for longer than we thought. It's a shame, by the time they leave (if they do) Mariah's image will be torn apart and any attempt at salvaging it will be extremely difficult if not impossible. I wish Mariah opens her eyes, there is time still. Don't let this woman ruin you.

Re: MC copied Whitney and Aretha's runs (72,374) (72,385) by B from USA
Mariah's run were (are) better than Whitney's and Aretha's. Mariah's range is why she can match them run for run and surpass them.

Re: Weird era (72,378) (72,384) by B from USA
Mariah needs to work with new directors and photographers. Instead of making videos like I Don't make videos like My All. Mariah's image is in tatters. She needs a stylist, an A list stylist like Rachel Zoe. Mariah looks amazing but she dresses like a hooker or a little girl playing dress up in her mother clothes (the mother is obviously a stripper known as Candy Cane). Mariah dress elegantly and sexy and stop trying so hard it makes you look awkward and uncomfortable. Make videos like My All and The Roof.

Morgan Lip-Carey (72,383) by Edward from USA
I've always thought the truth lies somewhere in the middle when it comes to Mariah in relation to Tommy, Eminem, and Morgan. I'm glad Morgan expressed his opinion about Mariah being worth more dead than alive, he might've actually saved her, and no, I don't believe in the Illuminati and conspiracy theories. He's definitely bitter, but it doesn't mean that there's no truth to what he said. We know Mariah has a booze problem. It doesn't surprise me that she might've been diagnosed as bipolar back in 2001 either. He was still very much involved in her life during E=MC2, but the ultimate betrayal was using his brother's pass (not having to sign a disclosure agreement) and then using personal info against her. What really surprises me is the fact that he not only put Mariah's personal business out (being bipolar, drinking and not taking her meds or mixing them with alcohol), but he also called his own mother an alcoholic. That was a hit below the belt. Mariah did her best to help Alison, but addicts and prostitutes accept help when they want to. You can put them in rehab and being adult they can walk out whenever they want, as simple as that, and that what many of them usually do. There wasn't anything Mariah could've done to make her stay clean or commit to rehabilitation. Helping her while she's not helping herself is like giving her the drugs thus condoning her behavior, so I don't think Mariah should do shit for her until she shows real signs of change. I saw a video with Alison running a marathon. She's supposedly been clean for nearly a year now, but she has a lot to prove since she has caused so much pain to her family. Morgan might've told the truth, but it wasn't his business, and the means he use takes away from any credibility that he might've had. It's really sad because for me family is everything. Mine has always been there unconditionally. I would rather walk away from them than hurt them in any way. I hope the petals left on her flower don't keep scattering.

Re: The most beautiful era (at least to me) (72,337) (72,382) by MusicfanJ from Germany
The Charmbracelet era was really special. I do love the tour too. I went to a concert and I was in heaven. The show was great, she looked so beautiful and was always smiling and talking to the fans between the songs. And then the "Bringin' on the heartbreak" performance, it was out of this world. Superstarpower at its best.

Re: Weird era (72,378) (72,381) by MusicfanJ from Germany
I never liked Madonna and her music, it's not my style (except some songs) but Madonna created an image from the beginning and I have to say it suits her. She was always an entertainer. And that's the problem with Mariah now. Most of the people know her as a singer and diva. That created and latest fake image for example the MW "documentary" doesn't suit Mariah and never will. It's the complete opposite of everything that comes in mind when thinking of MC. How can Mariah think Stella is good for her? Crustella is really the most weird one of all. I can imagine she's laughing about Mariah and not only with her.

Well, well, well (72,380) by RibbonB from USA
I hope this particular Tanka story is true that he is demanding a raise to fawn over Mariah on a season two of MW. He supposedly was happy to fawn all over her for the press and free stuff, but now is demanding a big raise to continue for a season 2. He also wants press appearance fees. Just cancel season two, or drop all the sychophants and focus on Mariah, her music and her kids. Better yet, just no season 2.

Re: Weird era (72,352) (72,379) by RibbonB from USA
I have been saying this for months and especially after that "Here comes Santa Clause" video. The "anti moral MCA lamb police" or the "radical moose lambs" want to try to yell down on common sense though. I even got blocked by a few on twitter for commenting on "Snakanaka" carrying Roe on his shoulders last week. That is the most creepy aspect of this whole thing and the most disgusting. People need to get a clue. This casual behavior even if a stunt is not good. Leave the kids out of it. And Stella planting stories that he gets along well with her kids and they are romantic in front of the kids is some of her lowest work ever.

Re: Weird era (72,375) (72,378) by Malcolm from Asia
The scary part of that whole #1 music video thing is Stella might continue doing that kind of rubbish visuals and will just settle to it. Madonna produces more iconic, well-taught, and creative music videos until now, plus interactive and beautiful website and smart marketing and promotional vehicles and this is what Mariah can only give? That's not even about proving her worth because it's true she doesn't have to anymore, it's about showing her professionalism and keep doing her best as an artist. Having a great management is one thing but if the artist doesn't care in all aspects of it, it will eventually be a waste. Kudos to Madonna for being so passionate with her work, sorry but she's such a bad ass.

Re: Weird era (72,361) (72,375) by Mara from United States
Well the fact that the video went to number 1 was all the verification that Stella needed to prove to MC that she is doing her job right. She leaked this wedding dress story to TMZ that did nothining but get MC dragged by people in every comment section I read, but hey - it got the video clicks and therefore got the video to number one. So the party and the cake pics we saw all were in celebration of that same mindset where Mishka posted that pic of Mariah that Stella was so happy went viral. That is where we are at and that is what MC is being fed right now. Probably why there is no new album in the works either. How can she have any time to get into that creative space with all these people around all the time. Does Mishka even do homeschooling? This child should not even be let in these clubs at these hours with no kids her age ever. It's all so bizarre. But as I said, bad story? MC's image getting more tarnished? Who cares if there were so many other places Mariah could have put a $250,000 wedding dress. It got people talking and interested in the video and that is where this group of people are going to take Mariah. She is going to remind Mariah there is no money in albums anymore and if you noticed in one of her recent interviews where she talks just doing singles, she almost lets it slip that there isn't money in albums, but catches herself and says but of course she will always be back to the music because that is who she is.

Re: MC copied Whitney and Aretha's runs (72,332) (72,374) by Terna from Nigeria
Mariah does runs much more complicated than Aretha and Whitney (Vision Of Love, Lead The Way, Mariah's Theme) without overdoing it. And she's very unique in her vocal tone, delivery and technique. I think Morgan is just bitter.

Re: Morgan (72,353) (72,373) by Malcolm from Asia
How messy her family is, it's just sad. No wonder why she's always been eccentric. I just hope she have other best friends that we don't really see in public like a relationship that she always have the communication besides Roc n Roe, because if not, that is the saddest part of all.

Roger is jealous he's no longer getting the 411 on Mariah. In four days I Don't has more YouTube views than Almost Home and You're Mine (Eternal) which means it's connecting with people.

Re: Morgan (72,370) (72,371) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Licia if you do happen to go forward with that karate chop situation, can we please get a video? Haha, kidding kidding. But yes, I'm also curious how things went so sour. I always thought Mariah and Morgan were really close and she used to talk about him a lot in her previous interviews. It's a shame things went bad. Mariah seems to be alone in a crowd. She's constantly surrounded by people and think that's her security blanket but none of them are really helping her. Her mom is mostly out of the picture so she is basically a member of the Bulochnikov family. I try not to talk about how she should bring her kids up because that's none of my business but I wish she'd not have them around a 12 year old who drinks and swears and acts like an entitled brat and a 10 year old who will soon do the same.
