(72,065) by Leito from USA "I Don't" is now at #10 in the USA. I hope radio picks up and play the song. Radio has not always been kind to MC. Article: Mariah Carey teases role in "Lego Batman Movie" (72,050) by Musti from UK Wow, I really like this song. Like a few others have already said, what a difference listening to the whole song makes. The comparisons to Side Effects make sense, but I think this song's mood is far more solid than SE (even if the lyrics are weaker). SE was never a big favourite of mine anyway. YG's part could've easily been left out though. Judging by what Mariah said it seems Epic is unwilling to release Mariah albums at the moment, reducing her to a single-releasing artist. It makes sense of course, seeing how her albums don't really sell anymore. She needs to prove herself once again. This song is a step in the right direction in my opinion. But the video isn't. Considering that she is back to proving herself, it's particularly disappointing that no one (Stella) tried to put her in a different direction for the video despite the endless criticisms she's been receiving for her ensembles. I hate to say it but this might turn into a #Beautiful situation where the video destroys the song. (Friday 3 February 2017; 13:17)

I Don't - I do (72,047) by R&B Junkie from Poland I really do love this (except for the YG part which is too long). Lyrics are on point, the production sounds fresh not dated, the general melody is fine too. Plus, I can relate to the lyrics, so this cut lands in the alley of songs that describe my life and my feelings (i.e. Breakdown, Did I Do That, Slipping Away, Skydiving or Shake It Off). I like the ideas of omitting whistles and belting this time. I can easily sing along to this cut, what rarely happens in case of Mariah's songs. I don't mind if the video will be tacky since I'm here for the music. Also, I'm glad it's not the WBT part zillion. I love her early 90's work, but I became a fan when she already turned hip hop. I'm one of those people who prefer Butterfly LP and Chanteuse over Music Box or the debut one. I appreciate that she does this kind of R&B when many turned to EDM. She said between the lines in some interview in 2016 that she has enough of awards and number one songs, but I enjoy the fact that the song has a great run on charts internationally so far. It has this timeless sound and it could be a big hit in any era of Mariah's career. I could almost hear it being blared in the radio on heavy rotation. She should give it another chance and give it the full blown single treatment. The first time I played this song to my friends they immediately looked for the song themselves. I Don't (72,042) by darrian liu from taiwan It's decent, I like the beats, modern R&B with a touch of trap. It doesn't sound dated. The lyrics are not the best, but that's ok. Her harmonies at the "but I don't, I don't" part are super gorgeous and I wish that harmony was a bit louder in the mix. It's catchy but it doesn't make me feel anything. It's kinda just those kinds of songs that sounds nice but doesn't have that magic to pull you in. Maybe YG is the reason, his parts were straight up ugly and doesn't help the song at all. Dissapointed there won't be an album but singles is also what many seem to be popping, albums seem to start becoming a thing of the past, maybe Mariah will make a new trend out of this.
