Mariah pairs leopard print slipdress with throwback hair (110,050)
by D from United States

She seemed more laid back and "present" last night on Jimmy Kimmel. I don't know that host, but she seemed starstruck, and honestly I can't blame her. I would have been too. Mariah didn't seem bothered by the comments about her breasts so I won't be bothered either. It's not like Britney Spears at 17 being asked about her breasts. Not the best thing to bring up in an interview but Mariah is a grown up and they're hard not to notice. (Honestly, it's the first thing I noticed.)
Sidenote: it reminded me of the Mexican music icon Juan Gabriel. Interviewers would ask him about his sexuality and he would respond, "Lo que se ve no se pregunta". (What is seen does not need to be asked.)
Anyway, I think Mariah looked really pretty. Her face looked really pretty and her body was on point. Her tan was on point. Her hair looked nice. The dress is not my favorite but I don't hate it either. Since it's more naked at the top I liked that it was longer. I love that silhouette on her. I don't love the animal print but that's just me. Apparently that's the trend again. (The Pamela Anderson/Fran Drescher in The Nanny vibes.)
My niece is starting high school this year so I took her to get her hair cut and eyebrows threaded. I've been going to this eyebrow threader for over ten years and she's very good and I trust her. I waited in the waiting area and let my niece go back there by herself. I was so surprised when she came back out with super thin (Christina Aguilera in the Dirrty video) eyebrows.
I told her the whole reason I took her there was so that she wouldn't over-pluck them like I did when I was her age. I told her if she keeps plucking them that thin, over time they won't grow back the same. She said, "Yours did." (But they didn't. I had to get the soft tap powder brows to fill in the sparse spots.) Anyway, she didn't care what I had to say and told me, "I think I can maintain the thin-brow life."
So yeah. The early 90's slightly porno look is making a comeback.
I think we all want MC to go back to the girl-next-door we initially fell in love with. But she's been Ginger for a long time now. Mary Ann is gone.

Hey all, I don't post very often and usually chime in when there's a new era, usually because of fomo I want to join in the excitement. When I heard the snippet I wasn't sure but hearing the whole song is so much better. I've had it on repeat and it was legit the only song I was listening too in the gym today lol. I was thinking it's kinda like if Honey, Touch My Body and Cruise Control had a love child

I absolutety love the song. Afrobeats is an old genre but it has been recently recognized even at the Grammys so I think this collab has a shot at it. It has a lot of TikTok potential.

I love it, but I was hoping for more lyrics, especially in the pre-chorus part, to carry the song more. Overall, great improvement over TD.

I'm a little underwhelmed by the song, but I understand that its release is strategic as means for Mariah to stay contemporary. I don't blame Mariah for trying to stay current, but I think the songwriting, production and guest artists are a bit beneath her. The uptempo songs on "Caution" worked a lot better than this one in my opinion. Who knows? Maybe it grow on me.
I'm looking forward to hearing the songs she produced with just Daniel Moore, the Paul/Linda McCartney cover, and the collaboration with The Clark Sisters.

Mariah's charting power (110,044)
by Anonymous from USA

At first listen, I was hooked. It's not going to change the world. It's just a song. It's just a piece of someone's art. I really like it but I can see how people that are tired and unhappy would want to rip it apart and poop on it, that's the case with anything. I will still listen to it and enjoy it because I actually do love Mariah. I'm only here for the music, not the opinions of people who don't matter at all.

I have no more hopes for this but I am just glad that she is able to put out music that I can consume. She has done it all - nothing more to prove. If she scores another hit - good - if not good as well. Similar to my favorite non-charting artists, I live for their art and not their chart success.

I wanted Jimmy to show up and take over. I felt bad for MC when she was really being overly flirtatious at the beginning of the interview. MC became very uncomfortable in the middle of the interview when she kept flirting with MC. Jimmy would have shown some class.

I'm not sure what I think. It's too much head voice in the beginning for my taste. The song works ok from the second verse. But much better than the horrible AI version presented by Eddie.
After playing it on repeat for like 30 minutes, I enjoy it a little bit more than what I wrote above. Sweet sound, but no number one. Unlike some people, I do not think she will get another #1 Hot 100, but that's ok.

It was the twins out leopard print dress. Then the styling just took it over the edge. A misstep after some pretty good looks the last couple of months.

I didn't feel Mariah was looking her best on Jimmy Kimmel, she looked a bit cheap and not glamorous. Just my opinion. I've seen her looking better. I think it was the hair and earrings made her look a bit street.

I wasn't a fan of that interviewer. All she did was talk about Mariah's breasts and superfluous things that had nothing to do with the album or single. I was actually a creeped out on Mariah's behalf for all of the weird comments about Mariah's body.

I hope the video is on a beach or tropical paradise with a lot of swimsuits/bodysuits and self touching ala IBLYLT and floating in an inflatable balloon in the blue sea with shades on. With ice cream dripping ahhh everything summery. Hoping that it can be as super sexy as Sabrina Carpenter outtakes in Short n Sweet cover.

It's a catchy song, not sure it's gonna chart that well though. Her voice in the higher parts is not great and worries me if that's what they can come up with in the studio. It's a light summer feel song, imagine it with Slipping Away vocals. But it is what it is.

Well I doubt it will be the 20th number one. Astonishing that in 7 years she couldn't come up with anything even remotely different to what she's put in the last 20 years. Thumbs down. The only thing keeping me "here for it all" is the Clarke Sisters number and seeing what McCartney song she covered.

Total bop. I played it once only so far and it's stuck in my head already, been humming it for a while now. Did you guys get that "Sugar Spice & Everything Nice" line? Haha. Someone mentioned that a few days back here and lo and behold its in the song. Lol. With two tracks revealed so far from the upcoming album, I can already see this is going to be a very different sound from Mariah Carey, so far I love both records. Side note: I was looking forward to hear that run from IG short somewhere in the song "do oo oo ooo", that's an important hook Mariah.

SS sounds like a complete song whereas TD felt like it was missing an ending. I thought Shenseea and Kehlani's parts were nicely mixed throughout the song with Mariah. I love the sample of ILT. I hope the video is MC late at night having flashbacks of her guy. That's the vibe the song is giving me. Any guesses about who the song is about? The first two guesses don't count, lol. Like ILT, I feel this song will grow on me.

Glitter is a no skip album for me. From top do bottom. Adore that album. Rainbow as well. Butterfly is a whole another level. TEOM is good from number 1 until 7, then I just skip to 14, 15, 16, 17 (de luxe edition).

I understand better today the reason why just 11 tracks because of the hype statement on Record Store Day's website. The hype statement says:
"Here For It All is Mariah Carey's new forthcoming project with Gamma. This album marks the start of a bold new era for Mariah. It balances her legacy with fresh cultural relevance and pop significance."
MC hasn't had an album you can listen to without any skips since Butterfly. Here For It All is going to be that no skips album.

I am here for TEOM. I wasn't a huge fan of ILT at first. It took time for the song to grow on me.
It's a special occasion Mimi's emancipation A cause for celebration I ain't gonna let nobody's drama bother me Cause it's my night No stress, no fights I'm leavin' it all behind No tears, no time to cry Just making the most of life

No maam, I never skipped a single track on TEOM. MC sequenced the heck out of TEOM perfectly. I think that is what she has done for HIFA. I have already analyzed the potential genre of the songs which we don't know the titles of yet.
1. The Stereotypes produced song is an uptempo jam. 2. Here For It All ft. Anderson .Paak 3. Type Dangerous positioned perfectly here so the album can start paying homage to every era of MC's career. 4. Sugar Sweet ft. Shenseea and Kehlani 5. The Roget Chahayed song is an uptempo jam. 6. The Daniel Moore produced song is a ballad. 7. The Harv produced song is a midtempo jam. 8. The Bongo ByTheWay song is definitely midtempo or a ballad. 9. The Paul McCartney and Linda McCartney song could be Dear Boy or My Love or Live and Let Die. 10. The Clark Sisters gospel song is described by Nostradamus on X as Amazing Grace and Ain't No Way. 11. This Daniel Moore produced song has explicit lyrics. So possibly it could be Clown 2.0 or Did I Do That? 2.0. 12. Hoping for that Bryson Tiller feature on the Amazon Exclusive CD.
