I agree with you.

Mariah's World (65,102) by George Golden from UK
Mariah wants to sell her personality now, not her music. I am sorry guys but Mariah's World looks like a bad idea. The fact that she is trying to tell the world that she is not crazy but looking crazy in the process is just ridiculous. All this does not matter if she releases a smash album, but will she? I fell in love with Mariah because of her music not the other way around. Songs like Meteorite show that if she experiments with sound she will come out with a killer album, still she wants to keep making "We belong together" sequels. Rent a rapper is overdone by her it's just madness at this point. YouTube views make a hit these days and still she wants to come up [with] mediocre videos that she has done over and over again. She won't her a hit again if she remains on this road and don't get me started on those instagram posts. I like the ones with her kids but the ones with that thirteen year old is just creepy. I wish Mariah will have a great new era but how possible is that if she doesn't change?

Are you f*cking kidding me? 37 years old Mariah also wrote "I Wish You Well". 40 years old Mariah also wrote "100%". You all need to stop acting like she didn't grow. "I Wish You Well" is one of her most, if not the most, mature, heart felt, inspiring, spiritual, record to this day. Touch My Body is a 2008 jam, simply wouldn't exist in 90's. Times simply have changed, music game changed, she's been doing sensual records since 97, for the record. She knew where music is going and she keeps up. Mariah grew musically, lyrically, emotionally and mentally nonetheless. People just disregard it because those aren't the singles that are released. But if you really listen to each album to it's entirety, there is at least one inspiring, spiritual record in it. She never lost that side. It just became more subtle.

Classic 90's Mariah (65,100) by Mara from United States
I don't know how many of you are familiar with Trini Trent, he has a YouTube Chanel and blogs a lot and speaks from the heart and is always pretty spot on. He just did a video on MC's Emotions and why it was such an underrated gem. He is a huge Lamb and I follow him and also loved his last video on MC during her Christmas show. If you have a chance, check out his video. It brings back that Mariah we have all been missing and takes us back for a few moments. Emotions has always been one of my all time favorite Mariah albums with Til The End Of Time being an absolute favorite and how it leads into the hauntingly beautiful "The Wind". Eric I hope this video is shared correctly because I feel a lot of people on here would appreciate this. I wish a bit of this Mariah would come back, instead of the lavish his and hers yacht Mariah. I just can't get into the flaunting of the luxurious lifestyle too much longer as much as I adore this woman since her debut, it's getting harder and harder to relate to her and I just miss the person we all fell in love with. But please check out this video if you could and if you could find his other Mariah video, that is worth a watch too.

Empire (65,099) by 123 from USA
So she is playing a singer named Kitty. I love it. Lee got her to play herself, it will probably be an exaggerated version. Shawn did confirm that Mariah would be releasing a new song this year. Maybe it's a song on Empire. Please no Jussie duets, his goat sounding vocals give me a head ache. He is always singing in that goal sounding falsetto. He seems to have no idea what singing in your "full voice" means. He would probably sound better.

Re: Empire single October 5 (65,097) by Ty from USA
I bet that's the song she was doing [with] JD so the single will be released October 5th with a remix featuring Jussie? I bet it's only a single because she has to promote her Christmas shows, she will not mess up her potential millions from the Christmas season.

Re: Pettiness: in reverse (65,093) (65,096) by Deedre aka MiTodoChop @HBF from Canada
It is a business, indeed. I'm not saying Mariah (and the label) aren't interested in coin either, I'm just saying things are not the same as when she was a new artist and album making machine. Her label representatives seem pretty aware of it as well based on their previous commentary. We'll have to just wait for new music. BTW, I understand your points as well.

My goodness (65,095) by Special K from USA
I'm not making excuses for Mariah because I get the frustration but at the end of the day she is a freaking human being just like me and you. I don't think Mariah is in a good place emotionally. I believe this divorce from Nick is effecting her way more than we know. In my opinion she jumped into a relationship with this dude way to soon and she is hoping that he will heal her heart which he won't. Mariah just seems lost, angry, and bitter to me. I don't think she means to hurt or let her fans down in any way. I believe she is giving all she can give at this point which is the Vegas gig and touring. For me that's more enough because she has given us so much of herself and great music throughout the past 26 years. I just want Mariah to be okay and be the best mother that she can be. I agree with Deedre, I don't think having a successful album is a priority for her right now. I don't think Mariah is interested in playing the music business game either. So at the end of the day y'all need to take several seats and quit all of this over the top ridiculous whinning. Damn. Just kidding. Maybe.

I am here for a banger like "Time of Our lives" by Ne-Yo and Pitbull but I doubt it. With Jamaal being on it, there is more chance of it being an emotional ballad haha. Also are we having a "Glitter" reunion with Mariah and Terrence together in a studio situation again? Turn Silk way down, bring Billie all the way up.

Re: Pettiness: in reverse (65,077) (65,093) by Edward from USA
I understand your point. But Mariah has a record deal with a label whose income could be affected by the way she manages her brand. They're investing in her, and she's expected to help created the environment in which both could come out with coins in their pockets. Mariah hasn't neither retired nor gone her own way, so for all of us fans, we expect good music. The thing is that when people don't like you they're not buying your music, so when she flops all the way to the bottom, fans shouldn't go blaming anyone. Since Mariah wants to do Mariah, she should be responsible for whatever happens, it would only be fair. The Emancipation of Mimi was successful not only for the music, but because they took steps for people to like her again. I don't think you can have it both ways.

Mimi the controversial (65,092) by Luke from United Kingdom
I've been thinking about how Mariah has been showcasing herself in the media lately and although it seems drastic I don't think she's oblivious to what's going on around her. People or her fans may not agree with how she does things occasionally but you have to agree she knows how to keep people talking about her constantly. She never stops. Sometimes it works to disappear like what Adele did, but what Mariah does is she keeps herself afloat. Much like how you bump a post on Facebook to keep it at the top so people see it more. I really want to hear new music but I also don't want it to go down the drain like her last album, which is why I think what she's doing now is genius. Hopefully this "docu-series" will get people to fall for her again and then buy her music. As well as, the movies/shows she's going to make with Hallmark and Empire.

Neyo is a part of Empire too though, so it could be another mild mid tempo. Lol.

Re: Empire (65,087) (65,090) by RibbonB from USA
I know, he really isn't a good singer. We already have Neyo, Usher etc. He is just a pretty face with a decent voice, but I wouldn't buy his music. But of course I hope MC does something good with it. Lol.

Re: Nicki Minaj (65,085) (65,089) by Edward from USA
Completely agree with you Mimi L. At this point in her career and life, Mariah shouldn't entertain any of this questions, and the only way she could do that is putting them in her "Do not ask" list. When the "I don't know her" drama resurfaced after more than a decade, she should've squashed it right then and there. A woman with such an impressive career and accomplishments like Mariah shouldn't be that insecure. They probably told her she would be the only female judge, but then they changed their mind, so what? Had she had any legal recourse, she would've used it, but obviously it wasn't a clause in her contract. It's been 3 years since Idol, 15 year since Glitter, I think we could all agree that it is time to move on.

Re: Pettiness: in reverse (65,084) (65,088) by Edward from USA
You seem to be the ridiculous one. Mariah doesn't go looking for stuff, but she definitely is in control of what comes out of her 46-y/o mouth. When they ask her any question, they interviewer doesn't put words in her mouth. She also has the power to put certain topics in her "Do not ask" list, just like every artist does. Look for Ariana latest interviews and see if there's any question about Mariah. So don't come here throwing three lines and calling me and the people who agreed with me ridiculous because that says more about you than what it says about me. I'm not asking for Mariah to do anything, I'm just stating my opinion, but the writing is on the wall, and unless you take of your shades, you won't see it. To be a lamb, you don't necessary have to be a blind one. So loosen your push-up bra, maybe they're not letting you think clearly.

RibbonB Jussie can't sing. All studio. Dude sounds like a sheep when he sings. However, we need Mariah to have a strong song and performance.

Re: Empire (65,083) (65,086) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
She might surprise us though, if she writes a song for "Empire", it probably means she'll be collaborating with Timbaland and Lord have I been wanting them to collaborate.

Re: Nicki Minaj (65,082) (65,085) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
They had Ellen on the show, who is no where near the music industry though. So having Nicki wasn't as far fetched. Nicki was also really popular back then and even though I am not a fan, she really isn't irrelevant. The shooting thing was too much, I'll agree with that, it's not something that she should have said. My main issue is Mariah needs to at one point just let things go and not give it so much attention because at the end of the day she came out on top, so she has no reason to be catty all the time. Giving it any more attention is making her look bad because the others are taking the high road. Others being Nicki, JLo, and all the others. So even though some of them are at fault, people will still sympathize with them and think Mariah is the one who is always throwing shade.

Whooo this is what? You don't like, you move on. But you can't come and demand anything from Mariah. Mariah replies to questions. It's not like she goes looking for stuff. This is the most ridiculous post ever and who agrees with this is just like you.

Empire (65,083) by Giovanni from USA
I'm honestly excited for Mariah being on "Empire". I hope we like what we see. I want to be excited for new music but since "Infinity" I'm not going to get my hopes up. Mariah is 46 years old, if she wants to be successful again she needs to be making the best music she possibly can. She needs another "The Emancipation Of Mimi". "The art of letting go" could have been an even better era than Emancipation, but everything just seemed to go wrong for her. And I still would like to know why she changed the track list. I think with the right music, team and promotion Mariah will be successful again.

Nicki Minaj (65,082) by Giovanni from USA
If you ask me Nicki Minaj should have never been on "American Idol" in the first place. She had absolutely no business being a judge because she isn't a singer. She is ghetto, obnoxious, disrespectful and no longer relevant. What little career she had is over. Mariah wasn't perfect but Nicki was just as bad if not worse. Didn't she threaten to shoot Mariah? Honestly Mariah can say whatever she wants.

Re: Empire (65,079) (65,081) by Licia from USA
Lol I can take Jussie in small doses. It's his rapping brother that's annoying. I can't tell you how man times I heard Drip Drop and I wanted to jump out of a window. Lol. My favorite singer on the show is V. Bozeman. I can't remember her character's name, but she's on the first episode in the studio singing What Is Love. She gave me vocals and life.

More than one Empire episode (65,080) by RibbonB from USA
Yay, I read that Mariah filmed her episodes last week. Great so that means she will be on more than one. But that show is known to knock people off after one or two episodes. Lol. This should be fun. It is nice to get some fun positive news for a change.

Re: Empire (65,078) (65,079) by RibbonB from USA
Lol, I hate Jussie's voice. But I hope something good comes from this appearance. This might be the last season of Empire the way this show is progressing into massive nonsense. I mean, it's still fun to watch at times, but it's a joke too. The storytelling is so fast paced and unbelievable.

Re: Empire (65,076) (65,078) by Licia from USA
I'm hoping for great songs. I like the show, but I love the soundtracks. The music hasn't disappointed me yet. Hopefully they can manage to get her to put a few songs by herself and not feature her. I will only accept that one song with Jussie. Lol.
