Lol. Thanks, Andrew.

Theme (64,730) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
If she wants to venture into the dark, moody, artsy territory, I'm fine with it. Songs like BGK, "The Roof", "My All", "Looking In" are some examples of dark and moody songs that I really love. "My All" already had a very sultry yet haunting look about it and it's one of my favorite videos. In my mind I always wished for a dark, moody video for BGK (the opportunity lost on that one, just too much, my heart still aches for that). Anyways another example of a dark, moody song I really liked recently is "6 inch" from Lemonade featuring The Weeknd. It's sexy, and dark and mysterious. I love it. I don't necessarily love the video, but the song is great. Whatever direction Mariah goes, I know I am repeating myself, but I hope she has a good budget for visuals and promotion. Say what you want, most people didn't just get into Lemonade on first listen, no matter what they say. Ya they might have liked one or two songs, but it took more listens to like the album as a whole. But what caused the main hype around it (aside from supposed Jay Z bashing, which was a stunt) was the visuals. It left people mesmerized. So since Mariah is already into her next album, I hope she really has a promo/visuals plan in mind if she wants it to get mainstream success. She has been listening to Lemonade, Rihanna's "Work" and The Weeknd, all of which has a moody, dark, mysterious vibe to it, so maybe that's the direction she is headed. I am glad she is actually listening to recent songs and not avoiding them like she did with MIAM. It's not a bad thing to draw inspiration from other artists. Although I understand why she must have not wanted to get influenced during MIAM because she wanted to tell her life story. But ya I am glad she is listening to other popular songs. I hope we get some good collaborations too. This will also probably push her out of her comfort zone.

Illumate your life (64,728) by Andrew from UK
If you believe in the Illuminati you are a [censored]. Now, I censored that myself. So if you do, on a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being a pretty soft word that would accurately describe a fool, let's say, oh, "fool", to 10, with 10 being a word that succinctly describes insanely unintellectual people and/or describes genitalia, pick one very close to the 10 and use that. Like a 9. Like a 9 that 8'd a 10, then had a baby with 10 and named it 11. Insert a word that's 11 on the scale and use that. That's what you are. Daesh have a belief system as well. Yours get about the same level of intellectual consideration and respect as their garbage.

Photoshoot (64,727) by Will from England
Can't keep myself from just laughing at some of these comments. Illuminati? Please, as if. Haven't we been down this ridiculous road before? And people say that Mariah's the one who has lost it lol. No, it's a different photo shoot for her, it's refreshing, it's moody, well shot and just nice to see her doing something different other than standing against a wall and posing. Nothing more, nothing less. Brilliant articles as well, a hint of the next album is already in the works. What more can you want?

Re: Clash and Complex (64,719) (64,726) by Deedre aka MiTodoChop @HBF from Canada
It seems like an artsy concept photoshoot. *shrug* Very stylized in that you do "play" and put on a "mask" for the duration of the shoot.

Complex (64,725) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Mariah looks even better in the Complex magazine shoot behind the scenes footage. I really hope when it comes to her new album (which she apparently started working on mid May) and her new singles that she really puts in an effort to have videos like these which look high budget and has a strong theme. No more tacky green screen moments and sitting on a rain forest touching herself. How surprised will you guys be if this behind the scenes doubles up as a new single promo with the title "Eyes wide open"?

Re: Clash and Complex (64,719) (64,724) by Musti from UK
I wouldn't say fishing by the sea and posing in what seems to be an Illuminati induction ritual would look the same or potentially have the same meaning if pictured. Why go to that elaborate length if she's not trying to say something specific? I'm hoping this was just a dark direction for the purposes of the photoshoot. Otherwise I'd be very disappointed.

The Illuminati, really? (64,723) by Edward from USA
If we try to find shit on everything, we'll find that shit even if we have to make it all up to validate our assumptions. I'm pretty sure if Mariah were in the set of "Game of Thrones", the Illuminati believers be like: "Wow, it was true, look at the dragons, they look so demonic. Look at the settings, oh, did you did see how they chopped that man's head off, that must've been a sacrifice." I personally think it is ridiculous. The Illuminati supposedly has this huge power and control over the music industry that artists sell themselves to achieve success, well, I don't know what went wrong with Whitney. The Illuminati believers say, oh, Whitney was sacrificed so that Brandy could take her place, well, where's the success that Brandy has achieved? If Rihanna is so involved in the Illuminati, why did she have to basically go back to the drawing board when the concept she had for her album wasn't working out as she expected with her first three singles. Well, it seems to be the Illuminati people don't have as much power as some seem to think. Sometimes I laugh because I'm pretty sure people in the music industry play with these imagery on purpose. While some conspiracy theorist have their fix, they laugh all the way to the bank. If the Illuminati is real, and Mariah is in it, she should be having a huge comeback with like 5 #1's before they sacrifice her for Stella's daughter to take her place. Wait a minute, could the Illuminati give Stella's daughter some Kardashian type of talent, well, they don't even seem to have that power, maybe Selena Gomez will take her place. My cell rung three times, the Illuminati is here to get me.

Re: Clash and Complex (64,719) (64,721) by RibbonB from USA
Well I'm talking about since this last year, when she rolled out her merger with James and her new team. Funny the interviewer called it what I did months ago. Lol. It's not just this one photoshoot, the whole era has been about excess, egotism, elaborate stunts. But time will tell. As always, I wish her and especially her children well.

Re: Clash and Complex (64,718) (64,720) by MusicfanJ from Germany
I don't think so. (It's not her real personality.) If she would act like this, let's say the last 5 years ok I would think about it. But this mess is not so long going on. If Mariah likes fake people I don't know. It's although hard to believe. It's just easy to hang around with fake and superficial ones. You can enjoy, party and forget the sad mood. But the awakening will cause a hangover. As somebody on the messageboard said I start to dislike Brett Ratner a lot, because he introduced Mariah to James and maybe to that circus. Or was it someone else?

Re: Clash and Complex (64,718) (64,719) by Shezz from Pk
How about it is what it is and it's not that deep? Just because they've used elaborate props does not mean she's gone over to the darkside. If they had a photoshoot of her fishing by the sea would that mean she's shunned her current life to become a fisherman (woman)?

Re: Clash and Complex (64,717) (64,718) by Musti from UK
I think this might actually be the real her she's setting free, as many others have noted on this board. Perhaps she likes fake people and being half naked all the time is her inner peace. I like the Clash and the Complex photos. I like the dark direction in Complex but the Illuminati signs have really put me off. I was always proud of her for not being "sold" despite her immense popularity. But I guess they all give in eventually. Marissa, you asked what would be a dealbreaker. This has come pretty close to breaking my deal. If she really has been inducted into this organisation, there's nothing left to say. As RibbonB has said, it pretty much explains everything that's been going wrong with her behaviour lately.

Re: Clash and Complex (64,703) (64,717) by MusicfanJ from Germany
Maybe the "new look" and behavior is fine for a young audience because they only know Miley and Co. and are used to look at the wannabe sex-sells-celebrity. But for grown-ups it's really hard to watch. This is Mariah Carey not a C-Celebrity. For some reason I think Mariah looks desperate. Remember she was on top of the world with only 25. How could she be total classy with over 30 and now over 40 think that this suits her. But most of all I think Mariah needs to stop hanging out with the fake people. She doesn't need more success, she need's her inner peace again. *Spread your wings and prepare to fly, wild horses run unbridled
or their spirit dies*

Leaked photos (64,716) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
In other news, I really wish Mariah's team would stop leaking pictures of her and James. That picture of James possibly groping Mariah's boobs was so unnecessary, it doesn't even look like there is chemistry, it looks either staged or that this is the first time James touched a woman and hence the surprised look on his face. We all know it came from the team. The pictures are pretty clear and there weren't many people present during that time.

Martyn McFly, you are, of course, correct. It's stylish, different and refreshing. Scientology, Illuminati, hallowe'en, Wes Craven, Armageddon? You couldn't make this nonsense up. Oh wait, they did. God bless America.

Complex behind the scene video (64,714) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
This video is a behind the scenes of the complex shoot. Setting aside all the illuminati vibes and all that, I think the visuals are quite stunning and rich. It feels high budget and artsy. I hope her videos get better now that she seems to be confident in her own skin.

Weird parts (64,713) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
The bishop part was weird, I don't know why she had to say she said "bye" to him. It could be that she said it in one way, in print it looks different but I don't know. The kids going and starting to interrupt the interview was weird too, like why didn't Stella intervene? You don't just let kids in and sit there and talk to Mariah while she's working, that's rude and it's weird how they are like "you are my only friend", I know they were joking but seriously keep it professional. I see someone on UKMix, who I am 99% positive is also a member of MCA (not Travon) tried to drag our petition into this by say "the petition people must be looking dumb and nuts right about now". Of course no one replied to that particular individual, because (1) they are as disliked on that board as they are here (2) the article/shoot had nothing to do with the petition, this individual in question hardly ever makes sense so I am not surprised.

Re: Photos (64,707) (64,712) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I think they did take the theme from "Eyes Wide Shut", with all the masked men, and the big mansion and all. The lingerie and the semi exposed dancers could be implying the orgy about to happen haha. I really don't know. When I first saw the pictures, I thought it was an interesting concept, dark and mysterious, quite a clash from the girly and festive Mariah. I took it at face value. I hope that's what it is and that we are not going down Beyonce route.

Funny how lingerie's scary all of a sudden (64,710) by Edouard from France
I was watching MC's Adventures of Mimi tour yesterday and remembered that she actually wore black lingerie for the first quarter of the show. At the time I thought it was a bit much, but fun nonetheless, plus she looks so good. She's basically been wearing the same thing for the past few months (European tour). I don't mind, don't mind at all. She still looks good and she's still playing with it, unlike some other celebrities who don't seem to have any bit of mischievousness left in their soul. Mariah does. In my opinion that's what makes Mariah's sexiness (even her "trashiness") okay. Also, I realized that Bryan Tanaka was one of the dancers in The Adventures of Mimi tour. She's known him for more than 10 years. He probably studied in the meantime and now is a part of her tour management. I believe she is like a big sister to him. She clearly is someone who only has the best in mind/heart for those she cares about. She is a good soul. Everybody in the business says so. Has anyone ever said anything bad about her, other than her lateness? No. We've only heard words like "gracious", "kind", "ride or die", "so nice", "funny", "intelligent".

If (64,708) by Natalia from Italy
If indeed Mariah did sign a deal with the "Illuminati" then we should be getting a new #1 in the future.

Re: Photos (64,702) (64,707) by RibbonB from USA
More like with her to make her tow the line, keep her drugged and or drunk or hide the truth from her. Stellar is not trying to work with good girl image, she is there to tarnish and corrupt. Go online and read the symbolism of Eyes Wide Shut. I don't think it's any small coincidence that the title of that article is what it is. And yes, if M wants to play along with the Illuminati, or pay homage with these images, it really amounts to the same thing. Why she of all people would pick or allow such a dark image for a "reality" show is beyond. Maybe she is being more public. That whole article was like an introduction to what's really been going on this elaborate, extreme, egotistical, exhibitionist era.
