Article: Mariah Carey back in business with Hallmark Channel (62,599) by Malcolm from Asia I'm happy for her but what will happen to her music? Can she do all of this? Please no more A Christmas Melody type of acting. From what I have seen in all of your messages and all of the online comments about her, all I want this Christmas is for her to have a classier management that doesn't have more agenda than managing their client especially of her caliber. Class is what Mariah's losing now, she had that back in the day. Icon Award (62,598) by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City) The tribute to Celine was mediocre at best, but her performance and speech were a standard all their own. On another note I do feel Mariah definitely deserves the BBM Icon award, it is long over due but when it does happen as I like to speak positive energy into existence, I would like a masterclass tribute highlighting her greatness and a medley performance. So I just open this website to read the news. Today I said let me give this another try and again I'm like WTF? Are you guys really a lamb? (Giovanni for example.) When Jermaine was her manager, wow, I felt sorry for the dude for so much hatred he got from the lambs. And now Stella. I mean, Mariah isn't a 10 year old child. She may be playing that eternally 12 card, which I love, but come on guys. Maybe Stella wants fame, maybe not, who cares? Do you think if I was Mariah's manager I wouldn't want the world to know that I am managing Mariah Carey? As long as I'm doing a great job, which she obviously is doing, it's okay. Don't you notice how many positive articles there have been since she's the manager? Like that latest TMZ article saying she's a down-to-earth celebrity. I love Rea-Rea, but let's be real, her dancing was so 1901. So she had to go. Look at all the new amazing dancers, Bryan and Anthony. Don't you think all that was Stella's doing? (On a side note, I read a message saying Mariah is cheating with Bryan. Lol.) And if Stella wants her kids to be in club around people drinking alcohol or twerking, that's her and her f****** life. When she said she would do the E. series, so many negative messages. The woman is 46 years old, she needs to do something to reach the younger audience. And hasn't she done that E. Uncut in 2006? I think it's the same but in 8 episodes. If you hate everything Mariah has done lately, why do you guys keep coming to this lamb board and keep criticizing her and everybody around her? I wish we could all come here as a true lamb and show our positive feelings towards the queen. Don't you think once in a while Mariah visits this website? Mariah Carey: icon (62,595) by Anthony Basco from Cardiff, Wales For whatever reason that still to this day (and probably forever more will) remains unfathomable to me, Mariah has never truly got the recognition she deserves as the astronomically talented artist she is. For the person with the greatest voice of all time, she also has one of the strongest and most unique songwriting abilities. Whatever happens, as Marissa said, Mariah (as far as I'm concerned) has deserved that award since the release of Mariah Carey in 1990. The fact that she continued to produce album after album of incredible music, beautifully sung makes her worthy of that award hundreds of times over. I've always got the feeling that Mariah is going to be the Mozart of our times. That is, true appreciation will never be realised until she is no longer with us (far into the future, God willing). So no matter what happens personally or professionally, or whatever I may think of X outfit or Y interview, I just want to say to Mariah: I recognise that you are musically a genius, you possess the voice of a goddess, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing that incredible gift with the world. I Still Believe (62,594) by Billy from England, UK Just been watching this performance again after a while, and I love her look and she sounds amazing, but looking at her here I can not imagine her being surrounded by the likes of stella and her corrupt crew, family. Mariah is far too classy and so much a stronger person to need those type of people around her. Mariah vs Celine vs Jennifer (62,593) by Robby from Chicago USA I didn't find out, until last night, that the last year recipient of the BB icon award was Jennifer Lopez. And I was like, really? But I am not in the position to judge or question the choice made by BB, not sure if they did choose the winner or if it was a result of voting by the fans. Regardless, it just tells me that anybody can just win this award. No offense to Jennifer but doesn't the word "icon" stands for someone who revolutionalized or started something that is different or at par from what everybody does? I am certain that people at BB are not imbeciles, that they truly understand what an icon stands for but after this Jennifer thing, I am convinced that they purposely changed what this word stands for. Yes, Jennifer is a dancer, performer, actress, but what did she bring to the music industry that is different than what Madonna or Janet Jackson or Paula Abdul have brought to the table? Well, she might be an icon in some part of the universe but I just can't comprehend her being one here on earth (lol). Mariah needs to fire her asap. She needs someone who is experienced with the music industry. Stella's agenda is to be famous, not manage Mariah or help her be successful. Celine Dion vs Mariah (62,587) by Gilles from Malta Just a few records regarding Céline. She has a beautiful voice and can sing in a beautiful way. That's it. She doesn't write, she doesn't produce. She is talented but Céline Dion's albums are not made as Mariah. We can not really compare them. Céline did stop singing in French for the moment because the producer, writer Jean Jacques Goldman doesn't want to work for her anymore. He did produce and write music and lyrics for her successful hits in French and English on many I mean many many albums. Carol King as well. Céline is a very good and talented singer. I would say interpret. Not a full artist. But now, a full artist, does it still exist? So let's get a bit real. I mean I would say "Icon for the best music Interpret in the industry". Ok? She's so much classier than Mariah. She's the best female singer of all time. She is in the same league as Aretha Franklin, Patti Labelle and Chaka Khan. She can out sing them all. She sounds just as she did in 1997. She is also a better artist than Mariah and has been more influential. She has better artistry, musicianship and can write songs too. Her acceptance speech will forever be remembered as one of the most powerful, moving speeches in Billboard history. Even I almost teared up. I don't care if the next TMZ video is of Mariah doing cartwheels down the street, she still is long overdue for that award and her artistry has stood the test of time. No one who could surpass The Beatles' record before she was even 40 and has sold hundreds of millions of albums should have to wait for her day to come regardless of what her behavior is. The craziest thing I noticed is this notion that Mariah doesn't know what is happening and she ignores what people want from her. What people want is a explanation for questionable decisions she has made the past few years. I understand that but at the same time Mariah doesn't have to give a damn thing to anyone, including her fans. If you don't like it, Mariah actions have spoken and she doesn't care about what people think. This is why I hate being a lamb because the other fans tend to be annoying. To follow topic, I'm sure she was referring to that big scar on her right arm that it was visible last week, the guy probably asked something about it in an impolite manner or whatever and she reacted that way, but she didn't seem very serious neither, so "hoodriah" haha, loved her cute smirk. Now I do ask, did she have a surgery to correct something? Some fans have noticed in her last interviews her right hand trembles and I noticed it too in a recent video, maybe she had an accident that it hasn't been detailed recently? Regarding Packer and how cold their goodbye was, before she told him to "sleep well" she said to him near the ear that she loved him and he smiled and said something I couldn't clearly understand. He obviously felt overwhelm by the paparazzis and the fans yet he still managed to grab her buttocks haha, there is a picture of it. To say that they don't love each other because they are not kissing in the lips is ridiculous. I've been with my husband for 10 years and he dislikes very much kissing in public, if it was for me, I would be all over him but he dislikes it in public and I respect it. That doesn't mean we don't love each other very much, it is obvious Mariah wants to kiss him more than just in the cheek and hug him for longer time, her body speaks volumes in the videos. Truth to say, we don't know what Mariah and James do every single day or how their schedules are, do we really need to know? To accuse her blatantly of cheating simply because a champagne on a car, come on, unless there is real proof and a sudden break up with James there is no way I would say she is a cheater. Regarding her docu-series, let's be more positive about it. Yes, some of you dislike so much Stella it feels like you want the show to flop just so Stella can go out of the picture. But let's cheer for Mariah that this will be a hit. The trailer doesn't tell us much but it seems well put together, it doesn't show ridiculous two seconds drama or anything we should be scared of. Mariah has had terrible choices in the past and recent, Glitter movie for one (the script was just not good, the album was great) and American Idol. Like it was mentioned in another post, some said her Hallmark Christmas movie was going to do bad to her image because her performance was somewhat underwhelming yet nobody cared and it did well, her Vegas show was going to go downhill and it revived her, that her tour was not going to be good if because lipsynch yet she sang live most of everything (I want to believe everything haha) and it sold out. Let's hope this new direction goes right too so we can have amazing music coming that it can be heard on the radio. Celine, Mariah and the Icon Award (62,578) by Andrew from UK I am not sure there is a performer in the music industry with more class, integrity and dignity than Celine Dion. Her performance of The Show Must Go On was a masterclass, her acceptance speech raw and powerful. To say Mariah deserves the Icon Award over her is plainly unfair, despite being deserving of it herself. Yeah, I don't personally understand Jennifer Lopez having already received it but it is what it is. In her respective market I'm sure she is one. Mariah will hopefully receive it one day but Celine absolutely deserved it. She still sings amazingly, she is possibly the best-selling female artist of all time (Madonna's sales figures are always a little too dubious to me), she essentially pioneered massive Vegas residencies for superstars, she records in two languages, etc., etc. And she has acted with the utmost dignity in her private life. Mariah Carey is awesome and was always my favourite artist but Celine Dion is simply Celine Dion and is clearly deserving of the global admiration she has garnered. She's collecting an Icon Award moving people to tears with her love for her late husband and her son. Meanwhile, Mariah is spinning in her chair being bitchy about other artists, taking yet another photo for her champagne advertising campaign and coming up with new ways to publicise her breasts. Yes, Mariah absolutely deserves the Icon Award, but right now, at this moment in time, given the mess of the past few years, if I had to choose who received it, I would've handed it to Celine myself and told Mariah her day will come, but it's just not today. But I've seen Tori live several times and she is very impressive. Her problem, I believe, is that she's too "vanilla" according to many. I guess she's not having nip slips or fake relationships a-la (enter any Kardashian name here). P.S. No shade intended towards Mimi with her recent nip slip. Tori is the real deal. She writes all her own music and her first and second EP's, she actually wrote, produced, and distributed all without help from a label. She may not be very exciting to watch on social media, but she is an artist, through and through. If you haven't, check out her first EP, Handmade Songs By Tori Kelly. It's magical.
