Re: Reality show confirmed (60,017) (60,020) by Marissa from USA I don't know how to feel about a reality show. Naturally, the depraved part of me wants to see Mariah at all costs, even if it is via a reality show. But would this cheapen her image? Or would it connect her more to the younger generation because practically all of them watch reality TV? One thing I can be sure of is that it will not be some ratchet Love & Hip-Hope mess, even if Stella is behind it. MC will not be on camera throwing drinks and cursing people out because that's not who she is, so at least I can breathe about that. Knowing her it will basically be some behind the scenes stuff about music or performances. But if that wasn't the case, as someone on this board mentioned before, Mariah, Stella and the rest of the team are a certified traveling circus, so it would be entertaining regardless. Beyonce collaboration (60,019) by Giovanni from USA I'm not going to think nothing of it until it actually happens. Rumors always surface but usually never turn out to be true. I'm actually not for a collaboration with Beyonce because people might say "she needed Beyonce for a hit or for relevance". Which isn't true. But I suppose Beyonce is better than Justin, Talyor or Rhianna lol. She is a very good technical singer who gives strong vocals. I just think her music doesn't compliment her voice. Beyonce is great with r&b and ballads, but that's pretty much it. She can't give you soul or pull off gospel like Mariah can. If this duet were to actually happen, I hope the song is good and goes to number one. (Thursday 25 February 2016; 21:33)

We have been expecting this ever since we heard they are filming something called "A Butterfly In Vegas" and that Stella and her business partner has an unscripted show deal with Mariah. P.S. I mean we could all totally me fooling ourselves, but really, MC and Bey taking the photo, then TMZ reporting they talked about a duet together, and I know, I know, artists saying "oh gosh we should totally do a duet together" is the normal people equivalent of "oh gosh we should totally hang out sometimes", but hey Mariah was recently photographed with Lady Gaga (with whom can we please get a collaboration?) and Katy Perry and yet we never heard any rumors about them talking about a rumor. So that followed by news Mariah confirmed the other day that she doesn't know about an album but there is a single coming soon, and now rumors about Beyonce releasing a secret album, it just all seems to come into place. Or a lamb can hope. I mean we know MC might not have had time to record new stuff for her own album but it'll just take a few hours for her to go and lay down her vocals as a featured artist. But then I wonder would Mariah really dish about her duet to OK TV? The whole "Mariah dishes on rumored collaboration" can be just a simple "no we are not" for all we know haha. But please please let this be true. "But I'm scared and I'm nervous, I don't wanna be hurt, because if it's true then it has potential to be number 1." Mariah Carey and Beyonce's rumored single (60,014) by Malcolm from Asia I can't handle this hype, I don't want to expect but the tease of MC interview about the rumored single with OK TV USA is so exciting. We know Mariah, I'm thinking she will say one-liner safe response or whatsoever but all the rumors on twitter are too much to handle. They say it will be released on March 22 and the title is rumored to be called "Hearts Down". And then there is a twitter account called "Beyonce Predictions" and the predictions about Beyonce seem legit. The tweets mostly came true/happening now, and they have a tweet last December that says "Beyonce will have a collaboration with another international female star". I know these are all rumors but who is not excited about this? It will be epic. (Thursday 25 February 2016; 20:25)

The rumor (60,012) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter So twitter is having a meltdown over the rumored MC-Bey collab. This has been fired more by the OK TV promo where the interview talks how Mariah dishes on her collab with Bey and belts out a new lyric. Just to be clear she might just have said "I love Beyonce, I would love to work with her" and maybe the channel is using it to increase viewers but we'll see. I see quite a few articles talking about how MC will be on Beyonce's "Formation" album. And I also see the date "March 22nd" floating around. I don't know what's true, but if they are indeed working together, I am all for it. (Thursday 25 February 2016; 18:47)

She'll always be the first female to debut at song at #1 on the Hot 100 and the first female to occupy the #1 and #2 spots on the Hot 100 simultaneously. I'm looking forward to the new single. Single possily, album I still can't picture a full length body of work. She's no longer the girl who locks herself up in the studio for 6 months straight. Ariana and Rihanna didn't release buzz singles, Ariana's "Focus" is/was supposed to be on her album and she would have subsequently released it had "Focus" done well on the charts. Rihanna's singles were also meant for her album but we know she had a MIAM situation where her singles were not backed up by promos and died down as well as her album constant being pushed back. Beyonce's "Formation" is as of yet a stand alone, it only received so much attention because it has a social message. However that being said, it is being reported that even Beyonce is planning to release 2 albums this year in addition to her long rumored joint album with Jay Z. If Britney and Fergie did release them, I have not even heard about it so that shows how little attention it got and right now if Mariah releases something we need the attention. So yes, I still think Mariah should have a proper era planned out when she makes her move. She released one too many "buzz singles". If she releases one more she has to make sure it can make an impact on the charts and the GP. (Thursday 25 February 2016; 9:20)

The only thing she needs is to accept a second opinion from today's hot producers and risk something. Rihanna receives advice. She is not the great composer or the producer on her songs, she is a product of certain bosses. Mariah has embraced so much her freedom since Butterfly. She has her own world. I always say this. Re: Mariah discusses her latino last name (60,005) (60,006) by Jp from Argentina Hey there. This interview took place in Buenos Aires, Argentina during a promotional tour for Rainbow. Mariah was dating Luis Miguel at that time and coincidently they were both in Buenos Aires at the same time. I tried to get in the taping of the show but I did call the show a couple of times and they told me it was not possible since they had no capacity to host any more fans. The followijg day, the amount of fans waiting in the street was really more than they expected and Mariah ordered the producers of the show to let everyone come in. The following day, she signed authographs at a music store in Buenos Aires and that's where I got mine. I'll never forget that day. I hope this helps. (Thursday 25 February 2016; 1:32)

Things are changing all the time. What's OK for one, should be OK for all, and it's an acceptable way to promote digital music right now. It's always felt uncomfortable to me when you start defining being a Mariah fan by having to either blame Mariah for what she is or isn't choosing to do at the time, or by undercutting in Mariah's name. I might not rock out to Rihanna regularly, or own any of her albums, but her music is clearly bringing enjoyment for people which is the whole point to it all if you ask me, so yay to that. Lol. And if Mariah does release a new single, it'll be treated as such because I can't picture her following up with a new album anytime soon. Everyone is doing it look at Britney, Rihanna, and Fergie from last year to even something as recent as Beyonce and Ariana. Or you hop on other people's hits like Christina. It would make sense for her to do a stand alone single to help promote the tour. We just need it to be a hit and win back the public before Mariah hits them with a real pow moment. New single (59,996) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter As much as I am desperate for any material Mariah throws my way, I really want her next era to be a strong one and not a haphazard one. So I hope when she says the album will take time, she is really just making us believe that she won't release anything soon, but in reality she has it ready. Because what's the point of yet another buzz single. Lord knows since "Triumphant" we have been bombarded with singles that were ultimately given the "buzz single" title since they didn't make an impact. So I was hoping when she releases a new single, it means her album is following suit and that she has her plan in place on how to promote it. Honestly, since Mariah's recent singles didn't do well (not because of quality but because of other factors), a random single not backed up properly will just further cause a dent in her image. Yes, I know she has nothing to prove but that doesn't mean she'll just recklessly go about her career. I really hope Mariah gets a manager who is well versed in the music industry. Stella does a good job but she is not from the music background, she is from the television background and she won't really push Mariah musically. Instead we are getting an unscripted show in the making (as the rumors went) which is fine and all but Mariah is a singer first. Secondly LA Reid has already given her the legacy act corner so he won't push her either. I don't know, I just had to ramble, but I want the best for Mariah and I hope when she embarks on the new era, she comes strong. (Wednesday 24 February 2016; 20:38)
