It was just a missed opportunity at having an iconic performance. Sorry but that whistle note was awful.

Because sometimes I can't understand 56% of what you write. English is not my native language and I don't have a great knowledge of "gay jargon" and googling all the references can be quite exhausting.

MC, Ariana and JHud (104,507) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Not sure if anyone discussed this yet (didn't get to catch up) but when I heard she brought out Ariana (who's been in hiding for years) I was super excited. Side note I think Mariah and Ariana should collaborate on a non Christmas song along the lines of "Touch my body", their voices complement each other. Ok back to the topic, why was Mariah so stiff? Like Ariana was skipping around dancing and enjoying, JHud was moving around but Mariah just looked like she was pinned to one location and wouldn't move. I see this a lot in her appearances. This was an upbeat song and you'd think they'd probably even try to recreate the video choreo, or if there wasn't enough time just walk around. But she was locked in position and looked like she was reading off instructions on a monitor or something. Mariah girl you've been performing to sold out shows for a while now you'd think she'd have more control over her stage presence.

Why do you "have to ask" people's sexual orientation? What purpose does it serve?

Mariah is clearly lip-syncing 90% of the show. Sometimes she just clear gives up the pretence and lets the pre-record play.

I will say this, also: Mariah is possibly on some serious medication for, even during the J-Hud and Ariana performance, she's having to read the auto-cue or cue-cards by the monitors. Seriously worrying. The performance is clunky.

Of course she will get to number one. She looks better than ever, she sounds amazing (I don't understand why some people say she is lip syncing when clearly she is singing live) and she will be number one for Christmas.

Btw, I have to ask - are there any straight people here or I am the only straight guy here?

Yes. She may make it to number one, but it is going to be tough this year because of Tate McRae and Nicki Minaj current singles.

I hear from a lot of my co-workers and friends that they have grown tired of AIWFCIY this year. When I am out and about in the stores, I am hear other artists' versions of AIWFCIY. Maybe MC won't make it to number #1 this year and that is okay with me. I just want her to get back in the studio and get that album finished.

Mariah was dominating on airplay and sales last when RATCT hit number one, now she's only ahead on radio airplay. I don't think she'll dethrone Brenda just yet. At this point, the figures Talkofthecharts has are very accurate.

Talk of the charts said it's close again. As of morning of December 10 Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas Is You" and Brenda Lee's "Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree" are looking to closely compete for #1 again on next week's Billboard Hot 100 (December 23rd chart), as the former begins to accelerate faster on streaming.

Oh wow, why did I read this post with all the "it" in capital letters though. Lol. Come on now, that was kinda not cool. In the words of Mariah Carey "We love everybody."

You were correct, I just watched it on YouTube. Honestly I wasn't a fan of the remix, and don't even care too much about the song in general and often skip it, but I'm into this performance. Seems so festive and fun, and I think they sound great.

Article: Mariah Carey dethroned (104,490) by Nikki from usa
How was it removed from Spotify playlists? I see it as an option when I look for the track. But, Billboard changing its rules out of nowhere and right after they featured Mariah on their award show seems weird.

Exactly, how much more is streaming worth when Mariah is literally leading everywhere else from radio to actual sales? It's not like the streaming gap is massive. Is clicking a button on demand in the convenience of your own home really speak to what the public is into more then actually buying the song with your own money or calling up a radio station to hear it combined?

Tricky Stewart and The-Dream. I know, but I heard Colby O'Donis' The Difference and it reminded me why I like their production and melodies. I know there are others that most of you want. So, let me hear them.
