I have to say, I didn't read too much of your post but, I read enough to realise that u don't really understand reality. From when you're talking about Illuminati, you are away with the fairies. The Illuminati is as real as Santa Claus is, so anything you have to say after you have mentioned that is irrelevant, sorry.

No, no, no. You are getting me wrong. I did not say that those were my opinions but rather, I referenced them. All of that information is public knowledge available on the Internet. Firstly, there are no rules on your website stating that one cannot make comments on the Illuminati. If you really had sensitivity issues with that then you should have blocked my post. Instead you posted it and called me an idiot. Even though this is your website, you have absolute control and a responsibility to manage the content according to certain criterias. You had no right to call me an idiot being the webmaster. You suppossed to set an example and just know that not only fans of the artist come to websites like yours but industry people too. I was instructed to research responses from fans on various topics for different artists and I am disgusted with your response. As for May from Denmark, I find myself in disbelief that you could be a fan of Mariah stating how things are done in Europe. I have sent a link to both your posts to key strategic people in the music industry and if this is how people on Europe behave and think then this creates a bad impression and Mariah Carey needs to know about this before she goes on tour to their respective countries. I will never use this fans site as a point of reference for any further research as the European people are being very hostile and now I have my answer. I also read the back posts and realized that you were rude to other people as well. Being the webmaster does not give you the right to bully people or call names. It is self reflective of what's going on inside. As for May, you need to grow up and you have alot of lessons to learn in life. People should not be slandered for stating their opinions that are public knowledge. You thought that your reply was clever when in fact, certain music industry people who I sent your reply to think that you are [censored] and a [censored]. I will not come back to read any replies to this site so don't bother replying as I got my answer and formulated my opinion on certain Mariah Carey fans (not all) based on their replies.

Love Yourself (59,514)
by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter

Justin replaced himself at #1 on the hot 100 chart. He was at the top with his song "Sorry" and now he replaced himself with "Love yourself". This is third single going to #1 from this album. Even more heartbreak for me for the lost opportunity that the MC-Justin collaboration could have had (no, I am not endorsing "Why You Mad" but if they had polished it up and lost the rappers, it could have been good). We need another collaboration.

Mariah doesn't have to prove anything (59,513)
by Ardis Logic from Earth
| |
|

In my opinion, Mariah is in a place in her life where she is happy and comfortable. She does what she likes to do, and has had success that most artist can only dream about. Why should she have to defend herself? If people are ignorant enough to believe the lies that the media puts out, thats their problem, not Mariah's. I think she is tired of always fighting against these stupid media stories, and she has learned over time to just let it go. They are going to continue to publish bogus false claims to get people to buy their stupid magazines. She knows her real and true devoted fans will not believe such rubbish, and we will always be here for her, showing our undying love and support.

Re: Negative press, artist success and more (59,512)
by Billy from Greece

Regarding the discussions about Mariah getting a bad rap for the past, probably, 10 years and her mismanagement of her own image, all I can say is that it's not a "one plus one equals two" situation. The way that ownership of the media in America and around the world functions is very intricate, and many outlets are interrelated and interdependent. As far as the music business is concerned, the success or failure of an artist will impact not just the artist and their label, but a whole other line of sponsors and corporations attached to them. In this sense, there is a conscious effort to see certain artists succeed at certain points in time. It, then, all comes down to connections and alliances. The public does have a power to form cultural happenings, but on the basis of the products they are presented with. The reason why Mariah or some other artists may be more trashed in the media is because they may not have the access, through their collaborators, to those channels that control certain aspects of the press. Why do you think Beyonce is so successful (especially with the Grammys) for the past decade and has such coverage, positive for the most part? It all has to do with deals between Sony and CBS (which is the main network of the Grammys since the 70s) and the NARAS board. This is just an example. Mariah enjoyed that privilege in the 1990s, but after she basically became a free agent (just like Diana Ross in the 1980s) she lost part of the corporate intervention. That's why, after Def Jam, she started forming alliances with L.A. Reid, for instance, or BET and its president etc. In Hollywood, the press agents were always on top of managing or even determining the success ratio of a star. Make no mistake though: Mariah is a very smart business woman too, so don't feel like she has been left behind in terms of deals.

Yeah. I don't understand why she handed her social media accounts with Stella like that. She is Mariah Carey for God's sake, she must be handled with class come on and hashtags are not necessary. Please don't make MC's accounts like yours, I appreciate what you've done with Mariah's image but I'm begging you to please leave her social media accounts alone. Find someone who is knowledgeable with that matter.

Re: I love Rihanna (59,498) (59,510)
by May from Denmark

I personally don't hate Rihanna, but I don't agree that she is a "singer" with every meaning of the word. She only sounds good in her albums, as a studio singer. Live she sounds horrible. Her new song doesn't really sound new to me, it sounds like the music the group Mew has been doing since years, I even thought that it was them who wrote the song for her and had to check out as the style was very alike. I don't think it has potential for a number 1 but I wouldn't be surprise if it reaches number 1. People like to consume Rihanna for some reason, I don't know if it's all the hype around what things she says or does. Some of her songs are decent but not memorable, most of her music can be put away. She has "catchy" tunes, which is a different thing and lots of her videos are over sexualized. She is not my cup of tea but I can understand why people feel attracted to what she sings. I don't mind her at all getting her number 1s but I would find it unfair that she might share the same spot as Mariah nonetheless because Mariah wrote most of her songs and is a true singer. We will see what happens in the future but like it was said, records are meant to be broken. I don't believe the Beatles will be there at top forever, someone one day will beat them. It's all about time.

Well, this is his website, if he wants to call you that way he can. Rude much? Talking about freedom, guess what, here in Europe we have the freedom to call idiot to those who make idiotic comments. "Lack of knowledge", don't get me started in telling what's lacking with you. Please put the tin foil down and take a "common sense" pill to get your rationality back. There's no need to "research" for that, it's all bogus and stuff that dumb people came up with because is too hard for them to think (is there even a PhD in Illuminati history lol or is your main source whatever any dumbdoh uploads on YouTube). Because something is in the internet it doesn't mean is true man. Next thing you will say is how bleach cures cancer, moon landing was fake, chemtrails over your house, Obama is a reptile alien and how we should "research" in Google about all this "facts". Let me guess, you are an avid homeopathy user because of evil BigPharma poisoning you. Oh, I'm so scared for this world.

Lack of knowledge is a bigger plight than poverty. Not being able to think with an open mind and know what is going on in the world is frightening. It is clearly evident that, that the music industry is controlled by the illuminati. Rihanna is being used like a pawn on the chess board to deliver their satanic messages through her music just like Gaga and Jay-Z. Michael Jackson and Whitney were both sacrificed by the illumanati as their record sales are worth more from them being dead. Clive Davis is alleged to be a big insider and so are many top level executives. If you look at the album cover for Rihanna's ANTI , you will see so many illumanati messages. For example, white symbolises purity and red suggests sacrifice. There could an implication that somebody is going to be sacrificed and what concerns me is her image with the crown meaning that she is aiming for someone's crown. I know it sounds crazy but please have a look on youtube regarding Rihanna and the illuminati. You can also search for Whitney's death caused by the illumanati and even MJ. In exchange for promoting their evil messages through the music and videos, they give the singer more exposure and a huge career boost. Thino of how she is gaining so many hits so quickly. It is a pity because talented legends like Mariah will have to work extra hard because she is not a member of the illuminati. She will have to compete with freak Queens and devil worshipers who are given first preference. In Rihannas's previous album, she had a tatoo of the Egyptian Goddess Isis on her breasts. It is public knowledge that the illuminati still worship Egyptian deities and invoke them in their ritual. The one dollar bill has the egyptian pyramid and all sing eye and they control not only the music industry but most industries. Please go and research a bit on this topic on YouTube and open your eyes to the truth.

King - We Are King (59,499)
by this_is_qhm from the Philippines

|
A year ago, I have posted on my admiration for Prince-endorsed soulful female trio King, and even likened their sound to Mariah's vocal layering. Their album is finally coming out this Friday but is already available for streaming here. It's the dreamiest, most sophisticated, most successfully mood-setting album I have heard in a while. You can hear echoes of Mariah's Fourth Of July and Yours in the songs with their similarly lush production. It's the sonic equivalent of a plush, rainbow-colored pillow, with the most honeyed, inviting vocals since Corinne Bailey Rae first came out.

I love Rihanna (59,498)
by enwar00 from usa

I post this to offset some of the hate. I'm grateful that I'm able to enjoy a multitude of music. I love Rihanna and I'm loving her new album Anti. In my opinion it is a piece of art, and there are a few songs on it that have moved me deeply. She is a singer. She has a very unique voice that many people like. I think her voice is very pretty and has been the draw for me since the beginning. To me she is beautiful. And I appreciate the free download. FYI the 1.4 million free downloads will not count on Billboard per their rules, so some people can breathe easy. However, she may break some more of Mariah's records. The world keeps turning. She is still in her 20s and is the most marketable. Also, just because someone or something is dark, it doesn't equate worshipping the devil.

My next Mariah (59,497)
by Nikki from usa

I would like MC to redefine "diva" as I stated in my last post. She's always having her stats stated, but we're a visual culture. Peeps don't read these days. She needs to show people how she did it instead of the end result. I never understood why MC always complained about no one knowing her songwriting status. She doesn't talk about songwriting, just that she does it. MC's not on interviews talking about creating her favorite song, her process, or how she came up with it. We're not seeing her in specials behind the scenes. We used to get sneak peaks back in the day even though they were minor. They're non existent now. Yet, she makes up songs on stage and has no problem free styling. Music is a communication tool. Rich or poor, everyone has been through love problems. It's universal. No matter your job or status, you get stressed and just want to party or unwind. It's universal. This has been Mariah's strength. She's humble too. "Sometimes there's more fans and sometimes there's less fans." "You can't always be on top, you can't predict it, and you can't control it. All I can do is eat, dance, drink, and have fun. You like it? Good. You don't? Goodbye." If this side of her were more prevalent and she really showcased her artistry and knowledge I think the GP would be eating out of the palm of her hand.

I honestly don't get why Rihanna is so successful and has so many #1's. I can still be fine with Beyonce because she is a decent singer and a heck of a performer but Rihanna is neither a good singer, nor a good performer. Plus I also don't get why out of all people Mariah is always so positive about Rihanna. She usually doesn't talk about "loving" artists who are not good singers and/or creatively involved in their music.

Mariah being seen and not heard (59,495)
by Nikki from usa
| |
|
|
Spears had a few specials with the announcement of her residency and a lot of front covers of magazines along with press conferences. Today I see J.Lo on a cover at the store. Celebs brand themselves and propel an image they want the public to see them as. They use the media to their advantage in this way. It helps to combat all the batshit crazy the gossip mills spew. Mariah hasn't done this in eons. She simply has "quiet success" with her residency. I saw on the stand today a little section in the corner of a magazine that "Mariah demanded a 10 million ring". The general public actually believes that Mariah made Nick her slave and is making demands to Packer about what gifts she wants. To say people think she's self-absorbed is putting it mildly. But, there's nothing to counter it. Mariah stays quiet while the media continues to play. There's not enough coming from Mariah in these Mariah stories. The media has destoryed her image over the past 7 years and she hasn't countered it. She needs to return to the limelight and speak on her own behalf in all media forms. She's been the girl next door, hip-pop queen, and been emancipated. But, who is she now? You want women respected in Hollywood MC? Then, drop the ditzy diva act and back up your talent. I hope songwriter/ producer/ director/ singer is next along with a well deserved look at your 20 years of philanthropy. Show your business side, no one survives 25 years in a cut throat industry by being a moron. Re-define diva, please.

Re diversity (59,494)
by Nikki from usa

Andrew, I'm not sure why your definition of diversity is white. Your only concern is for white people in Mariah's mix. That's not diverse. What's more is you seem repeatedly overly concerned about how many are black. You got a problem? Let me put your mind to rest. Tommy Mottola - white. Nick Cannon - black. Luis Miguel - latino. Derek Jeter - as mixed as MC. James Packer - white. See? Your white boys are still in the lead and Mariah's had diversity.

Don't fall for the bait Trayvon. With some people you may feel its ignorance but considering the source, is a way to disrupt the peaceful vibe on the board lately. Everyone knows it's been mostly peaceful around here lately, God forbid. They knew what they were doing. Same with the Celine post Baby and Mimi L. You ended up giving in to their objective without even realizing it. Regardless of my opinion, I still loved all three of your responses.

Rihanna,Beyonce and Mariah (59,492)
by Giovanni from USA

Ri Ri and B are two of the most overrated artists of today. Rihanna isn't a singer, and her music does nothing for me. Beyonce can sing but I feel the same way about her music. Both do whatever to be top, but I don't think neither will last as long as Mariah. Mariah's songs are timeless and still sound just as fresh today as they did when they were first released. She shouldn't ever have to worrry about anyone in the music industry. Especially artists like Rihanna and Beyonce. All she needs is her voice, great music, good videos, hella promotion and support from her fans. Get back with Jermaine and come up with something new. Or hit up Pharell for that upbeat uptempo hit everyone seems to want lol. And I'm sure Ben Margulies would be more than happy to work with you again. So make it happen Mariah. We all want a hit album just like the good old days. You can do it. Also, good luck in Vegas.
