LA (53,502)

After reading LA's comment about Mariah I think he doesn't have faith in Mariah which is sad because she's clearly still interested in her career and an American songbook album is not going to work for MC or her fans. Who does he think she is, Frank Sinatra?

Damn I wish she would have sang it like this at the BBMAs. I love when she does the bluesy/jazziness at the end of the song. Slay Mimi.

#1 To Infinity is doing well (53,500)
by Travon..SweetSweetFantasy from USA

Mariah Carey is on fire. She is still rising up iTunes and Amazon. She is #19 (+10) on Amazon USA. In iTunes USA she has risen to #36 (+2) and has risen back to #12 (+3) iTunes UK. What makes this more impressive is it's the evening and she has been climbing all day. This trend is great considering Mariah usually goes top 10 in morning and then falls out by evening. She needs another OK performance tonight on Kimmel but she will go top 10 if she gives more than OK. As an artist I am sure she is fully aware of the fact she is trending and needs a great performance tonight. The public has always shown to come through for Mariah Carey when she is on point. If she does great, well, it will be #1 To Infinity.

Jono / Lee TS (53,499)
by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
| |
|
|
Jono, don't you worry darling, the little fake lipped brat and her sister got what they deserved by the end of the show, when they got up on stage to introduce their "brother-in-law" (whom they are by the way using to get into the A-list zone, fooling him by feeding his ego so that he does everything in his power to get them to the A list). Anyways so when they went on stage to introduce Kanye, they were booed so loud by the audience. TMZ has a recording but apparently the boos were heard louder by people seating in the audience who called if "deafening". So karma didn't take long to teach them a lesson. They got what they had coming for disrespecting a legend. Lee TS, yes Lee, that and even other snippets from throughout the night were mind blowing and MC effortlessly went on a vocal circus. This is what I meant in my last post and the contrast couldn't be clearer. Same night, within a matter of hours, MC goes from impressive to spectacular singing the same song. Our girl still has fight left in her.

JLo on Mariah BBMA performance (53,497)
by ADAM from USA
| |
|
|
Give me a break. JLo gave a respectful round of applause and smile when the camera was on her after MC's performance. There was nothing shady about her behavior. I saw the TMZ footage and what's wrong with scrollling through one's phone during an award show? There was no disrespect. Stop trolling for responses and just let these two women be. Why can't either one of these women attend the same event without fans from either camp pitting one against the other. In reality, they may hate each other however everyone is entitled to their own beliefs but as viewers and fans, why do we have to engage in sexist behaviors that do nothing but reinforce negative stereotypes about women in the industry.

Has been exposéd for shady fraud she truly is. I recall a few lambs argued she was genuinely nice and sweet unlike Mariah. Hmm , honey I've always seen right through all that Loreal. There's actually a collage of shady facial expressions "Salty" has made during Beyonce and Nicki performances as well. I'm like chile please the nerve, when there nothing great about you at all. Get your life together boo boo.

This is an amazing performance of VOL in a very, very long time. Tens across the board dahling. Although not 90's perfect or whatever that may be, it's perfect to me. And I didn't mean anything about my comment on Mariah's size or shaming her, never. She's given such incredible looks over the years that sometimes I do forget she's human. Not my fault she's one of the most "beautifulest" woman ever. Anyway, totally loving the Ellen sneak peek of the video and hoping for more comedy moments.

Concerning she who must not be named (53,494)
by Jono from USA
| |
|
|
What a completely disrespectful gesture from her part. The salty face at the end I initially gave her the benefit of the doubt, probably irritated that the camera immediately panned to her face in hopes of creating some sort of drama. But then a fan video leaked of her using her phone during the entire performance, and then putting it away as soon as a camera came nearby. Listen. I don't care if you dislike whomever is on stage performing. You put down your phone and show some respect and decency. It's incredibly rude. Also that not as famous half sister of the fame hungry sisters sat there looking unimpressed at the end. Honey, for someone who has no talent and is famous because of your sister being famous for having no talent, you have zero right to act that way. As someone in their early twenties, I am embarrassed for my generation and the ones following us for who we choose to praise. Our standards for talent has dropped. It's insulting to someone like Mariah who earned her status through talent and incredible hard work and to get this kind of treatment.

#1 To Infinity and Vegas residency (53,492)
by Ethan from United States
| |
|
|
I'm very glad and happy that both the single and CD are climbing up and staying steady on the U.S. chart. She still has a week of promotions so it's good news. I hope with all these promotions, she won't cancel another show like the Wednesday or any of the weekend shows. I think it's her first awards show performance in the U.S. since the 2006 Grammy Awards (I don't count the recent World Music Awards). I agree with some of you that it was good and safe. She was nervous and yet I was hoping that she could have moved more like when she performed You Don't Know What To Do on the Today Show a year ago. Even though she had her sling on and stayed at one place, she still showed some body gesture and hand moves and attitude because of the song message. I've noticed that she moves her right arm/hand, it's a bit stiff. If you guys watch her recent clips on YouTube or Instagram, you know what I'm talking about. Perhaps the fall has caused her some permanent roughness and stiffness. That's just my theory. Onto the Vegas residency, I'm glad that she's got rid of the first pink dress for the silver dress at the BBMA to perform on her last Sunday show. I've been secretly hoping that she will recreate her WBT MTV Movie Awards for the Vegas residency. It's classy and dramatic. I agree with Mimi L that she looks great in red and only if she does that performance again with another red dress. And please lose the last pink dress for any of those Versace dresses she's been wearing.

GMB / BBMA / JLo / IKR (53,491)
by Andrew from UK
| |
|
|
Mariah is on Good Morning Britain tomorrow morning. Unless I hallucinated *this* morning. And BBMA's was alright. I'm not sure what the point of lipping anything anymore is given that the whole world now knows. As for the criticism: The only way to dispel negativity is to name a date and stand there and hit these studio notes live. Not the nineties ones but the recent ones. Nobody's heard above an "and it was all" live in a decade. Every time it scrapes that, am I the only one who wonders when these studio notes are created? There must be some polyjuice potion in those there studios. But she looked good. JLo looked good, too. Surprised she didn't run on stage and announce her new number ones album. Well, EP.

Mariah on Ellen (53,488)

I love when Mariah goes on Ellen's show. Ellen always makes it so fun. When they had the audience sing Mariah's song "Emotions", besides that one lady who was rocking it, nobody else had the guts to even try. That was really telling. How many of us can even sing like Mariah on her worst day? She really is amazing. I can't wait to see the "Infinity" video. I was laughing out loud when she showed the sneak peek clip. Anyone know when the whole video will be released?

Infinity / Billboards (53,487)
by Gary from United Kingdom
| |

|
I rushed out to get my copy of #1's to Infinity today, I know you only get the one extra track but I buy everything MC puts out and I am such a completist. Also the commentary MC provides for each track in the booklet is a must have along with some great new pics. I actually thought the Billboards performance was pretty satisfactory as I know she was really nervous with the recent bad performances etc. She did the a cappella run at the end of VOL really well. The overlap into Infinity could have been smoother but that might have been a timing issue and not her fault. I believe it was 100% live but some are saying parts were lipped, I couldn't spot any miming to be honest. The camera shot to JLo giving shade was hilarious, she only wishes she could pull off the VOL ending a cappella.

I didn't watch last night's show. But I saw some clips from YouTube and think Mariah did fairly well. Her voice sounded rich and deeper with "VOL". I wanted her to belt but liked the the long run she held at the end. I do wish she would have sang the whole entire song though. [censored] She gave more on American Idol's finale, but oh well. As many here know I don't care for "Infinity". I have to say she looked nice too.

Another Infinity preview (53,483)
by Jono from USA
| |
|
|
I just saw a clip on YouTube where she previews another clip on Ellen. Looks like the fine Mr. Tyson Beckford is going to be in it, and there's the classic humor in a Brett Ratner/Mariah Carey video. You just know that the press is going to wildly speculate that Tyson is an obvious reference to her ex, but that's good because it will keep people talking. And that's what this week is all about, and I'm so excited for Mariah's appearances on Ellen, Jimmy, and Kelly & Michael which are big talk shows. Promotion is on point. The BBMA was a success because it wasn't Rockefeller. Of course us hardcore fans know that Mariah sounded way better in Vegas, but the general public (and news articles) have praised Mariah's performance. Also, any "news" site that takes Twitter users as serious music critics are a complete joke. The little kids are making fun of Mariah's high notes because none of their AutoTune faves can sing more than an octave or two. It was so mindblowing to them that this is how talent sings/sounds like that they simply can not process how their favorite punching bag came swinging right back. Keep in mind Mariah could have easily pretaped a perfectly pitched performance, using her Vegas show that evening as an excuse, but she showed up, sang mostly live, and ended it on a high note. Literally.

She will be fine (53,482)
by Cgee54 from Usa

I'm for one glad she still has a voice. Her voice will recover just like it did back in 2001 (Charmbracelet to TEOM). Sadly enough she can't really take a long break to help her voice heal because she's already 45 years old and let face it it's tougher for a woman to achieve success in the radio at an older age. She will be okay and I'm sure MC is doing everything possible to help preserve her voice.

#1 To Infinity is still rising (53,479)
by Travon..SweetSweetFantasy from USA
| |
|
|
Mariah Carey should start shoving the album down people's throats by promoting this album as much as possible because the album continues to rise faster than MIAMTEC did. The album is 26 (+3) on Amazon and 38 (+10) on iTunes. It's still 14 (-2+1) in the UK iTunes. This is really a relief because Ellen and Jimmy Kimmel are still to come. Mariah is currently trending in the UK searches and I still expect her to rise in sales with the upcoming promotion later.
