Loving this ride she is taking us on (54,884) by Mara from United States I'm sorry but I have to say I am loving this right now. Mariah and James are like the new "It couple". It may be for publicity but I for one am loving that she is this popular desirable couple that the world is going crazy over. The press wasn't that obsessed with her and Nick. There is something opuliant about the whole yacht and luxury and her beautiful looks she has been modeling. Whether it is staged or not, the press is eating it up and it's nice to see her in a positive light as opposed to vocal issues and record sales or whatever. I see her slimming down in front of our eyes and no that is not what is important but we have to admit she is looking smoking hot. I love love love the hair. Mariah, keep that look. Let's just say she is having some fun before her July shows start back up and she is living it up in luxury. Obviously someone in her camp is releasing these statements and pictures to the press. I don't know if you guys remember, but whenever Mariah and Nick would kiss, it was always awkward and he would make weird faces. I remember Selita saying he was a bad kisser lol. Maybe it's also the age is appropriate and the fact that he's obviously not interested in her money. In my eyes, they remind me of the same chemistry Mariah had with Luis. Baby - Sweden, general rant (54,882) by Nathan from USA I completely agree. The negative comments about a cute almost kissing photo is ridiculous. Are we in high school? He met her in December 2013. He's been "pursuing her" for months AKA going to her Vegas show to support her and spend time with her. As sources said, it was a slow process months in the making through Brett. Now I'm assuming Mariah now feels it's time and at the level to go "public with her new boyfriend" and everyone just assumes this happened overnight. This isn't Kim Kardashian. Personally, I believe Mariah is genuine with love and I don't think we would pull a PR stunt like this. This isn't Madonna. Remember people thought the same about Nick. I happen to think her pairing with Packer is awesome. He looks so genuinely in love with her and she's honestly glowing and looks so happy. Now she isn't with some immature unknown punk, and is with a classy billionaire. As for the black/red dress. Guys, the red dress is from Mariah's twitter, these (black dress at Cannes) as well as the wetsuit are paparazzi photos. It's obvious her waist is photoshopped in the red dress. Each music video can be a continuation of the last, like what she did with ILT and WBT. A music video mini-series inspired by Gilligan's Island with Mariah playing Ginger and Packer playing a young Mr. Howell. JD can be Gilligan and her publicist can play Mary Ann. Or they could use the power of technology so that Mariah can play Mary Anne too. Bianca can play Mary Ann. The first video can be upbeat like Fantasy, Honey, Heartbreaker, ILT, Migrate, etc. It can be of how their lives are before they board the yacht and how they came to be on it and show them living it up. Then the second video can be more laid back, like Underneath The Stars, and show them relaxing, sunbathing, eating, and relishing in their awesomeness. The third video can be of the shipwreck. It can be a more dark and tumultuous sounding song. With lots of Jack and Rose in Titanic heroism. In the fourth video, they can be all dirty and trying to survive their first days on the island by eating bananas and coconuts. Ginger and Mary Ann can wear coconut top bikinis. Mary Ann can wear daisy dukes with hers and Ginger can wear something more glamour-sexy like a sarong or something. The fifth video can be a sultry love video with Mr. Howell and Ginger embracing a lot and falling more deeply in love. Mary Ann can have a side story with the professor or Gilligan. There can also be shots of them building houses and falling in love while doing it. In the sixth video the houses are already built and they are acclimated and chilling on hammocks but then a villain comes and sets their houses on fire. They have to go after the villain and kill him, Lord Of The Flies style. Then, after they do, they roast a pig and dance around the fire. In the final video they are rescued, but Ginger and Packer buy the Island and build their dream house on it. They invite the gang over for cocktails and the whole gang arrives in a helicopter. With all the Alaia dresses she has been sporting lately (including that horrid collar plus fish scales dress in Vegas show, which come to think of it looks like she is being swallowed by a fish) anyways so with all the Alaia dresses she has been wearing lately, I wonder if she'll be the next face of Alaia. I mean she did have a big shoot in Paris right? I wonder if it was for Harper's Bazaar or Alaia. I am selfish so I want it to be both. It's about time Mariah gets that billion dollar face on the billboards of the biggest names in fashion. Also Mariah please wear some Balmain for me? I want more edgy Mariah moments. Mariah Carey and Sam Smith (54,875) by Malcolm from Asia So MC just tweeted Sam Smith the other day and she mentioned that she's listening to Sam Smith's Lay Me Down on the yacht. I'm glad that Mariah is opening herself more to the new generation of artists and it just shows that she is not snob in every singer or their songs like everybody's perception on her, I feel like she just love to talk to people who writes their own music as well as she relates more to them. I really feel that Mariah and Sam have great chemistry together when it comes to music, it will just blend their voices and will have a fantastic collaboration. I heard Mariah Carey is one of the greatest influence on Sam Smith together with Whitney Houston so if I were Sam, I will push and try every way for MC to collaborate with him. Now that they were both still relevant, this is the right time for them and it will truly benefit both of them. Mariah really is Mary Poppins and people are having nuclear meltdowns trying to figure out the simplest things: Boy meets girl. Boy likes girl and persues her. Girl acquiesces and finally holds boy's hand. World goes crazy. Girl is still single. The beginning. I like how every day something new is added to this story. While I do agree with the posters here that the kissing pic is definitely staged, and that this whole relationship story was just handed to TMZ over the past week, I think it's a good thing in the long run. This whole #1 To Infinity era is image repair and damage control. Last year, the media destroyed her. There were so many stories about her divorce with Nick, her alleged mental instability and depression, her album flopping, her body, and of course, the bad performances that spread like wildfire all throughout the world. This year, it's different. Mariah and her team are using the media interest to their advantage. This relationship was bound to get out eventually. You can't hide someone who is one of the richest people on the planet. It was going to get out. So, Mariah is making sure she controls how the story spreads. It's a great idea. She's been one of the top stories this entire week on every major social media and news sites. People are talking about her. That's exactly what she needs. If she plays her cards right, with her alleged Game Of War deal, that Harpers Bazaar cover she shot in Paris, the Vegas shows, Empire, and her new Christmas movie, Mariah could very well make herself a comeback. We asked her to work for it, and that's what she's giving us. Although it seems like the recent photos are a little much, let's let Mariah do what she has to to reclaim the throne she deserves. I'm getting disillusioned (54,867) by Marissa from USA I agree with some of you. Now this "romance" is starting to look hella suspect. This doesn't feel very "Mariah" at all. It feels like she's trying too hard to prove that she's moved on. I have no issue with the paparazzi pics of them holding hands because they weren't the ones releasing them, but that awkward kissing photo and them posing for a pic every five minutes? I'm used to MC being discreet about her love life. This is feeling publicity stunt-ish. Also, is anyone else confused about how Mariah is comfortable dating a smoker? But I hope they keep it classy. I mean no need for pictures like that awkward kissing one and all. Those will do no good and won't fool anyone. Other than that, if Mariah's team is providing her candid pictures like the ones of her and Packer in the orange dress or whatever, it's fine. Those look normal.
