Reducing Mariah (48,936) by QueenLambassador from Portugal I don't understand why some suggest Mariah Carey should just bet on the Christmas shows and stop making albums because her days to produce hits are over. Don't get me wrong, she owns Christmas, it's a fact, but to reduce her to that is like mocking her legacy completly. Her Christmas music Is phenomenal but that isn't the music genre that made her great. Mariah should regroup, sort out whatever and come back with an album as good as MIAM. I couldn't care less about chart positions if she gives me a MIAM part II. (Saturday 3 January 2015; 11:20)

Mariah in Vegas (48,935) by nikki from usa I'm thinking "no" to putting MC out to pasture in Vegas. However, if this is temporary and just for a few months kind of thing than yes. It would help her voice and prompt her creativity. She's going through a breakup so the fan love would help. It would be a perfect platform to test out new material especially if it is in a new direction for her. Before MC's debut Mottola had Mariah sing her material in clubs to test it out on the public. Using a worldwide traveling destination like Vegas to test out new material would let her know what music she has the best future with. She'd make a crap load of money in the process too. One is chosen for the video and has some added on notes from the other performance just sung moments ago. There is no playback or re-singing. This performance, for example, was done 3 times because the drummer screwed up. Dubbing isn't a Mariah thing, it's an industry thing and done on virtually every artist's videos to make the most "epic" performances. This is live, all takes, for Vision Of Love from MSG. Covers (48,933) by Dennis from Miami, FL I adore Mariah's version of You And I. I've listened to it hundreds of times. And it was not so long after the Glitter disaster. But she sounds perfect, all live. I like her voice on that version. Almost all range is covered. And when she sings last "You and I (ahahe)" it reminds me of I Will Always Love You. Every time I see this video I always look at Stevie, at his reaction, how he carefully listens to every note. Although I remember how Mary Ann Tatum said that he praised her after that performance, Mariah shines all the way through this performance. And Justin Timberlake is so fake at the beginning. Her voice is currently, if not permanently, annihilated and you are talking about doing a residency? I assume then you want her to lip sync the whole thing or will giving up any vocal power please you and keep the dream alive. I worry for some "lambs". This borders on insanity. The 25th anniversary (48,931) by Dennis from Miami, FL It would be quite expensive but spectacular for Mariah to feature holograms in her show. Let's say she can sing a duet with Whitney's hologram and ODB can rap on Fantasy. Or even with someone like Minnie, Ella, Marilyn, you name it. I remember Janet Jackson's MTV Legend show. She had dancers dressed as Janets of different eras with her on stage. I'd like to see Mariahs of all eras together. And I still hope for a George Michal duet. (Saturday 3 January 2015; 8:26)

It must not have been recorded. I always loved this song when I was in 8th grade by Barbra Streisand. Come to find our loving MC sang it? I needto hear her on this song. I prefer for Mariah to work with CD singles. You know, release a single song is better than releasing a whole new album. Since the music industry is all about trends and image she has to work with a good producer and feature with a hot name, then promote like there is no tomorrow. Once she is back on top of the hot 100, then release a second single, and later a whole album. Ofcourse with hot video clip (like Honey, Heartbreaker). I remember when [...] came out, some people thought she was a new artist. And that is what we need. Start from scratch. Mariah has left manny projects like MC=E2, MOAIA, MIAMCTEC. Albums with potential hits, especially MC=E2 [...]. One more thing. I would not mind an album like [...], you know, with all the number ones, with some new tracks, and some covers. Caesars Palace (48,912) by Stacey from USA I disagree. I don't think doing some shows from time to time would be admitting defeat. I went to Celine Dion's show during her first run in 2004. It was awesome. Every show was sold out. You had to get tickets fast or you lost out. The key is doing it right. Celine Dion had Fraco Dragon, creator of Cirque du Soleil in charge of the show's direction. If you have the right people, right idea, it can be big. Celine's fans flocked from all over the world to see her in Vegas. Mariah's fans would do the same. (Friday 2 January 2015; 22:17)

The song from Deborah Cox is one of my favorite dance/techno songs. I know it from the "Fired up" cd. I think Mariah would do a great job. I've always wanted her to do a dance type song. But she isn't into dance and techno music. Another song I wish Mariah would cover, or was hers is "Unbreak my heart" from Toni Braxton. I honestly think it should have been hers. Jazz album (48,910) by Jon from Netherlands Agreed Shelly. With Mariah singing LOBL and DE on tour it seems her musical taste of late might be going more towards Jazz (at least I get that vibe, otherwise why sing LOBL?). I love her melismas but her subtle renditions are equally mesmerizing and I feel like as I grow older I'll be liking them more and more. But what about Mariah writing her own Jazz songs? I didn't know LOBL and thought it was an original (I know I know my bad). It had a Mariah feeling to it (just a little too sweet but it could be a Mariah song). If Mariah could give me a smooth Jazz album to listen to on a late night car ride I would be so happy. She doesn't have to do a formal album. Just do a concert and release it for the fans. Rearrenged songs would be great but I would love original ones. Something emotionally raw like Don't Explain. Simple lyrics but with depth. Underproduce the hell out of it and focus on melody and voice. Something like Nina Simone. (Friday 2 January 2015; 21:28)
