Wow the voice is back (47,607)

[...] thank [...] for posting [...] with the hot into [...]. Oh it's like she woke up is [...] again. I would have taken [...] out or the late Honey remix and put [...] in. Everyone is emotionally attached to [...]. She's giving us more and more jazz moments: she should go down that road. She is slowly turning into a torch singer.

These are a few of my favourite things (part deux) (47,606)
by Baby from Dreamville...Where There's No Beginning & There is No End

Mariah's many monikers. 1. Mommy 2. MiMi 3. Diva O' The day 4. The Elusive Chanteuse 5. MC 6."Riah" (according to Brenda K Starr, YMMV) 7. Echo eeho echo echo 8. "M" 8. Mirage, my personal favourite because even in high school she managed to be elusive because of being a session singer late into the early mornings. Same old Mariah. 9. Mary Poppins 10. Butterfly This list is numbered randomly. Honourable mention: Bianca. What are some of your favourite things about Mariah?

Good to see MC extremely happy with her concerts, she should go back to Tokyo for vindication. I mean to give a free concert and clean that bad impression she left. Then she should go to Canada where she is well received. In the last show she is not wearing that glove and waves and moves her hand at ease again. Thank you God for saving Mimi.

Stacey / dem backstage babies (47,604)
by Edward from USA

Stacey, I agree with you, the end of Supernatural was phenomenal, so relatable and unpretentious. I'm so happy to see she has toned down the diva attitude a little bit too. For most people perception is reality, so I'm glad she's exuding confident. If she continues like this, by the time she hopefully hit the US, she'll be in a very good place vocally.

Lullaby of Birdland / discarded tracks (47,602)
by Edward from USA
| |
|
|
Mariah definitely did a great job with "Lullaby of Birdland". I can't wait to get my hands on a studio recording of the whole song, I know it must sound amazing, of course I made my very own mp3 of this performance, lol. She's been giving us some consistency, I hope she keeps it up. Something extremely bad must've happened in her marriage that Mariah decided to basically leave gems like this out of MIAMTEC. I don't think they were discarded or put aside because they were not good enough, but because she needed to vent about her marriage situation with new tracks. I was sad that "The Art of Letting Go" didn't make it into the main part of the album. I could definitely see it caressing with "Lullaby of Birdland". Kudos to MC for the effort to give her attending a quality experience.

I love Christmas time because it gives me an excuse to listen to Merry Christmas for a couple of months, not that I need one. I prefer to pretend the follow up never happened.

More videos please (47,599)
by May from Denmark

I'm appreciating a lot all the video posts and small sums of the late concerts. Because I have been very busy I lack the time to check anything in YouTube or even try to find the list of songs of concerts to see if there is any new song. So please keep it up, I'm sure there are other people like me right now who come to the site for fast updates and that is a great thing. Thanks for taking the time, I would love to see more incoming.

Skip, I thought the same thing as you. I honestly believe that track listing was genuine, and I am so curious as to how The Art Of Letting Go album sound and felt in its original format. As much as I love the album we ended up with, it'd be great to hear those unused songs.

Anybody could offer the Elusive Chanteuse tourbook on Ebay for a reasonable price? On MariahCarey.com no Elusive Tour merchandize available. I am sure many European fans would appreciate it.

That end was too precious. The part where Roc said hello back to MC was so sweet. As a fellow mom to a 3 1/2 year old boy, I love those moments too. Roe was funny. All she wanted was her binky, lol. And you could see MC like one of us all saying, now you only get it at bedtime. Too funny. Thanks for sharing. And yes, her voice sounded great.

Last night in Singapore (47,592)
by MCvoice from Singapore
| |
|
|
All I can say is last night was perfect. For years, we hear about MC losing her voice. Last night proves she just needs to warmup. She sang live for most songs, even the intro song Fantasy. She spoke/laugh while singing, probably to show she is indeed singing live. She joked about Grammy not being our best friend, and also let her babies say a few words. She seems very appreciative of the fans supporting her during this time. My favourite moments were Fly Like A Bird (a very tough song to sing). She sounded better than she did in Grammy and American Idol. This is the reason why she, and not other wannabes, is the best. Lullaby Of Birdland was smooth. She should probably be the one doing a Jazz album, instead of Lady Gaga. Hero was very nicely sang, compared to her earlier years' renditions. Honey (SoSo Def Mix). I never like this version, but she made it sounds good yesterday. Bliss. She sang a few verses, and asked if we know this song. She actually made a mistake when she said its from her Charmbracelet album. But its still great to see her remembering this gem, and mentioning Charmbracelet. Meteorite. For the energy. She may not sound like how she sounded in Daydream tour or MTV Unplugged, but her current voice is definitely better than the F1 Singapore live - much less coarse and less pitchy. Looks like those suggesting Mariah Carey to retire have to wait for a few more years again.

Hero in Singapore (47,591)
by Abraham from USA

That performance was amazing. Mariah hasn't sang "Hero" that good in a long time. She gave me her 90's vocals. And some said her voice was gone. Well what do they have to say now? I think she just proved them wrong. She just keeps getting better and better. If I was G.G. I'd feel stupid and embarrassed right about now. Next time be careful what you post.

Amazing (47,588)

I'm so happy to see the love back on this messageboard. But, more than that, I am so happy to see Mariah being Mariah. It's incredible to me that Mariah has improved so much since that first date in Japan. Let's face it, she was probably the worst she's ever been on stage that night, and if we compare then to now, it's just breathtaking. Her voice is so clear, powerful, strong, and once again, she's full of confidence while singing. And although her recent performances of Hero have not sparked much interest in me, this one from Singapore I have watched over and over again. It is the best performance of this song since the Charmbracelet world tour, in my opinion. Surely, this performance should reinstate her status as "The Voice". And she was consistent the whole time, like her clarity in I'll Be There. Ugh, there's just too much to say. Above anything else, I have realized that I don't care about the media. When MC was not good in Japan, I wasn't worried about public opinion, I was worried about her. I was so worried that maybe she did lose her voice and the damage was irreparable. But now, I thank God she has come back strong and recovered. Welcome back, Mariah.

Lullaby of Birdland / leaked tracklist (47,587)
by Skip from United States
| |
|
|
Now that Mariah has performed "Lullaby of Birdland" on tour, I have to think it only solidifies the validity of that leaked tracklist for the initial version of the album, back when it was called "The Art of Letting Go". "Lullaby of Birdland" was listed right there as track 6. And especially since it was listed as an interlude and her performance of it was under three minutes, it all just seems to be further proof. Anyway, it just has me excited to think that all those other songs listed are sitting somewhere, complete and unreleased. And I'm just hoping we'll get to hear them all sooner than later.

Random thoughts (47,582)

The holiday season is approaching and this time of the year is known to be special for Mariah. What do you think if she released an album for kids? A compilation of lullabies and kids tunes? Things she likes to sing for dem babies? On a total different note, funny how Mariah shares the same initials (even the name?) of another great Maria Callas.

About Mariah: Sense of humour. Mariah: Bye you guys. Bianca: Move. Bianca: What have you got for me today? Is it my new cd, "Storm"? Lamb: Well, uh... Bianca: This is what a "real" poster looks like. You know what? I don't like that. You love me, adore me, hate her. I'm sexy as hell. These are mine too. Bianca's encore: Go home.
