Bill / Wendy Williams (46,814) by Edward from USA
Bill, Wendy is a woman, I guess. Some people think she's just a man in a dress.

Wendy Williams who? (46,812) by Edward from USA
Wendy Williams is just jealous because Mariah is a real woman. No matter how many wigs and make up Wendy wears, even RuPaul looks more feminine and natural than him. Most drag queens love Mariah, so I don't understand why Wendy Williams doesn't. He is a disgrace to the drag queen community. Wendy hasn't quite understood that when you mess with the best, you die like the rest. He had been kind of supportive of Mariah for the past few years, but now he came back viciously spitting fire out of his mouth. he wasn't just gossiping, he was being plain evil. I hope Mariah won't ever set foot on his show, ever. As for Mariah's album being a flop, I take MIAMTEC anytime over Ariana's all over the place album with all her three hits. I have the feeling that MIAMTEC is going to become a cult classic in the future.

Happy anniversary Butterfly (46,811) by Bill from the UK
When I get home from work tonight I will listen to this album and transport "back in time" to when a 15 year old me first listened to this album. I was rendered speechless by its beauty, elegance and maturity - and still am to this day. A true pinnacle of her glorious career.

Re: Miss You (46,810) by Nicky from Jasmine's Sofa
I always loved this song. It has such a moody darkness The Roof-esque but dance track. It is about the same guy as Don't Forget About Us (remix) and The Roof, My All/Stay Awhile (remix). You can tell by the quality of those two remix videos, the style of the songs, I love this Mariah. Subtle Invitation, Lullaby, Thank God I Found You Make It Last Forever Remix. I love it all. Btw, I think she is most beautiful in the Don't Forget About Us (remix), The Roof, My All/Stay Awhile (remix) videos.

Butterfly (46,809) by Randy from USA
I get upset with this board sometimes because you all nitpick everything MC does. I agree her live performances have been wobbly, the voice needs repair and her image is comical to the general public. With all of that said, it doesn't add or detract from my life and I'm not in tears because of the current state of those things. I have to wonder if some of you have a career, a family, a job, or a God and Savior the way you obsess over MC's every little move. Now with that said, the reason I fell in love with MC is this album. On Butterfly's 17th anniversary, I learned that an artist could be commercial and deep at the same time. She uses impressive vocabulary, intricate melodies and different arrangements/genres to create this pop masterpiece. And it flows together seamlessly. There has never been an album that infuses genres and flows together like this nor will there ever be. It manages to mix pop: Butterfly, My All, Whenever You Call, Close My Eyes, with R&B: Babydoll with Hip Hop: Honey, The Roof, with Gospel: Outside with 70s/80s Soul/Funk: Fourth of July, The Beautiful Ones and with Dance/Techno Butterfly Reprise/Fly Away. No matter where MC is commercially, artistically or image-wise, I will always be grateful for this album.

Miss You (46,808) by this_is_qhm from the Philippines
Anyone else really digging this song? I've always wondered why this didn't make the final main tracklist for Charmbracelet. If they deemed it inferior to the tracks that did, then I don't really feel the same way. I mean that chorus is just relentless in all the right ways. Plus, I feel like it's sort of the sequel to Boy (I Need You) in some way. And when JD introduces the bridge as the sexy part, it really, really is. Fun, light, and flirty - what's not to like?

Mariah (46,806) by B from USA
I'm not worried about Mariah's mental health. She was exhausted, not suicidal. Nick and his family and his management team know the public thinks she's crazy after the events that occurred in 2001. It's a chead and obvious ploy to try to get custody of the children.

Thoughts (46,802) by B from USA
The 25 Criminally underrated Mariah Carey songs was a great article besides the fact that they included Boy (I Need You). They should have given its spot to Can't Take That Way (Mariah's Theme). Other than that it's great. Some of Mariah favorite songs made the list Do You Think Of Me, Slipping Away, When I Saw You, Melt Away, The Roof, Breakdown, Baby Doll. Did they author include Close My Eyes? I think he or she did. If not it deserved inclusion. Nick is a loser. I honestly think he cheated and that was the straw that broke the camel's back. Mariah will survive this and come out stronger than ever. With an album that will silence the journalists who have written her off. Mariah writes her best songs when she's unhappy, miserable, hurt, and betrayed. Her last divorce inspired the masterpiece that is Butterfly. Mariah you're in my prayers and thoughts. Lamb for life.

Wendy Williams (46,801) by Brad from USA
I always get the sense that Wendy is just a little bit jealous of Mariah because she knows that Mariah can always change her hair and make-up and not look like a busted up drag queen.

Wendy Williams (46,800) by Abraham from USA
Wendy couldn't wait to talk about Mariah and her divorce. She was very rude and snotty how she spoke of Mariah. It was so necessary when she brought up the TRL incident. She called "MIAM" a flop (which is true, but there is a more respectful way on how to say it). She shaded Mariah on her age with Kim K. (who is no one) drinking and how much Mariah is worth. The idiot said $300 million. Which is wrong. It's $500 million. Then she tried to be funny and make a smart remark on the kids. Really?Funny how she's all for JLo. She praises her because she went on her show. And now she kisses her ass. "AKA" and "Paula" flopped worse than "MIAM". JLo may be "out on the scene" but it's not really doing anything. All her singles didn't even make the top 20 on Billboard. At the end of the day, I'm sure Mariah could care less on what Wendy or any other negative talk host has to say or thinks about her. Mariah sits on millions as a music legend. She has her two kids which is all she cares about. I'm so sick of people calling her fat, old, a flop and knocking her down. Wendy proves again and again her envy and jealously for Mariah. She needs to get over it and realize Mariah doesn't want to be her friend and acknowledge her existence.

Reply to folks' set list (46,799) by Anonymous from
Ok some of the set list that I'm reading sounds like a snooze fest. I wouldn't go see her with that list. And stop talking about Mariah and her nodes. She is fine. I saw her live and she did all the best songs with a powerful voice. Emotions was spectacular like it was back in the day. Completely live. Set list in random order:
Honey
Anytime you need a friend
Cry baby
My all
Cry
Thirsty
Shake it off
Baby doll
Emotions
Now that I know
Heart breaker plus remix

Tour extension (46,798) by Philipp from Switzerland
Do you guys think that Mariah will extend her tour and also have shows outside of Asia? I'm very curious to see if she's going to tour the US and/or Europe. I'm praying that she comes to Switzerland.

5. Side effects

Wendy Williams (46,795) by Lee TS from USA
I actually like Wendy and I find her very entertaining as a gossipy host, it's her schtick to go in on celebrities. To me, Wendy loves MC and has said many good things about her. Always referring to her as a legend with the voice. With MC, I didn't think she was horrible about it but says it like she means it (lol). Wendy paints the public perception of MC; her mental/emotional state with the breakdown, her sips of splashes, her age, and MIAM not selling. I'm forever a lamb but come on those things are, eh, I don't know how to put it. We all know TRL was a hot mess, splashes for everything, eternally 12, and MIAM being practically non existent. Wendy has always put MC and JLo together, her trying to make JLo happen was only because she went on her show. I have to agree with Wendy re JLo though, her album did worst than MIAM but she's out there slaying with the promo and red carpet looks. And wouldn't we want that from MC? I enjoyed their radio moments together and would love to see MC go on Wendy's show.

Marching band Thirsty (46,794) by Z from United States
I love that Nick has his Drumline sequel coming out in October and they chose Thirsty as their song to do. If indeed the song is about him this is a double shade kinda thing to Nick Cannon that Mariah probably got a good laugh out of. Mariah absolutely loved it by the way.

Wendy Williams uncalled for hate for MC (46,793) by Marissa from USA
So Wendy's show returned today (oh joy *rolls eyes*) and she brought up the Nick and Mariah separation topic and shaded Mariah the entire interview, like some Mean Girls, high school pettiness type of shade. She is so jealous of Mariah that it's pathetic. She was trying to make her the laughing stock of her whole Hot Topics segment, and for what? Of course, she was practically worshipping Jennifer Lopez afterward within the same segment to be even nastier. Wendy is evil to practically everyone for no legitimate reason, but her disdain for Mariah is beyond uncalled for. The worst thing MC ever did to her was put her name in a #1 hit. What a monster *sarcasm*. She needs to be grateful. No shade, but if I was MC I wouldn't have even given her that much.

Nick / so ridiculous (46,790) by Edward from USA
Nick has already publicly stated that Mariah is a wonderful mother, that he won't be making a statement about the marriage, and that he'll always love Mariah for she has given him the best gift in the world, dem babies. He hasn't said anything taking custody of dem babies, on the contrary he has praised Mariah for being an excellent mother. He was a gentleman when he defended Mariah on his tweet, putting to rest the rumors that he was worried about the well being of the kids or that she wasn't mentally stable. They may be separating, but they are dealing with the situation amicably in the best interest of Roc and Roe. So, unless Nick posts it on his tweeter where you can see it or he announces it on a TV show, I will take everything with a grain of salt. Obviously somebody leaked the news that they were separating. You only need a couple of investigators following Nick all day to realize that while in New York, he is staying some place else, and them deduce from there. Most likely that's what happened.

I am going to Southern in two years and the fact Mariah loved their rendition of Thirsty and wants them to play on tour is awesome. My parents met there and Randy Jackson went there so yay for my school. Only a few people in Texas know of it.
