Carlos / dem babies (41,420) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
It's just wishful thinking dahlin'. Because a lot of big names are collaborating, like Bey and Shakira, RiRi and Shakira, Britney also collaborated with Madonna long time back and even recently I think she collaborated. So yes, although it's never going to happen. There were rumors about a promised Mariah-Janet duet when JD was dating her but that never happened. She can always just do an easy dance song. Ah well let's see what she has in stock. Moving on, I wonder how Mariah has featured dem babies on a track. I hope it's something different than what has already been done.

I can't believe it (41,419) by OGmattyICE from US
Everyone just shut the hell up about the new single. Instead of rambling about how unsuccessful it's gonna be, just wait until it charts on Billboard and then talk. It hasn't even been here a week and you all are tripping out. Wait until it charts, then talk. But for now, just shut up and support it instead of whining like a bunch of toddlers. It makes no sense to me.

MC will never sing with a female (41,418) by Carlos Jaramillo from USA
You guys. I think Mariah will never sing with another female singer, especially all the greats you guys have mentioned, because then she would have to sing that song "live" with them. Mariah is still incomparable when it comes to studio singing, but singing live has become a bit of a challenge for her. She would not go through the embarrassment of a flat/sharp note with another charting female presence on stage.

Dance mixes (41,417) by Carlos Belizário from Brazil
Does anyone know about the dance remixes? Are they going to be available on iTunes? It seems that it could really work given the dubstep/EDM moment that we're in. Especially the Jump Smokers Mix. Reminds me of something related to Avicii or Calvin Harris, but better.

Stuck? 2.0 (41,416) by R&B Junkie from Poland
And there's that yet infamous Almost Home. It's vibe is totally different from her previously released material. And what about It's A Wrap, Cruise Control or Skydiving? They're also different. You're Mine is not a copy of We Belong Together, that's a horrible undestatement. It's like For The Record mixed with H.A.T.E.U. with some elements of Candy Bling (remix) and Undereath The Stars. And this mixture makes it fresh and classy at the same time.

#19 You're Mine (41,415) by jumpingjack00 from Philippines
I am excited for the song. I did wish for a better video, but I kind of expected what a typical Mariah video will look like. I am happy Mariah is doing her best to promote the song. It is up to the masses if this will be a hit or not. Let us do our part by voting, requesting and downloading the song.

Stuck? (41,414) by Lamb_O_Chop from Australia
"#Beautiful" sound totally different from anything she's ever done in the past, "TAOLG" was different from former ballads (with its spoken words feel), "You're Mine" has a typical Mariah sound but even that sounds refreshing. And if we want to dig deeper, "Obsessed" was totally different. "Betcha Gon Know" was totally different. Sorry buddy, but I'm not seeing how she's "stuck". Maybe you just aren't feeling her new sound/music and that's fine, but she has experimented with fresh sounds and worked with new producers. We haven't even heard this album yet, so how can you say she's not talking about anything different or is uninspired? I think if some of you actually listened to the MTV interview instead of being comsumed with judging and criticizing her, you would've caught when she told Sway that she's experienced so much over the past four years and she wanted to make sure this album reflected her growth. See, she actually made sense, I guess she wasn't so drunk after all.

Mc and Bey (41,413) by Darryle from USA
I think it would be cool if they worked together. but I personally would love for Mariah to work with Rihanna. I think Rihanna is really edge and popular so the song would go far. But of course that won't happen because Mariah only works with guys or female rappers.

Alexis (41,412) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I am doing the same. I have both versions on repeat. And around the beginning I wasn't really feeling the Trey remix, but now I love it. Since the day it came out, these two versions are the only tracks I am listening to, so maybe my condition is a little worse than yours lol.

MC and Bey (41,411) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I want Mariah to do a song with Beyonce. That would be huge. I don't think Mariah will be interested in working with any other female singer who came after her due to ego clashes, but she seems to somewhat like Beyonce (whether it's just for Jay-Z's sake or genuinely, I dont know). But I think they can come up with a cool women empowerment themed song or just a catchy club song. In other news, Beyonce seems to be doing everything possible to push her song Drunk In Love (which I personally liked) to #1. Even if it means adding Kanye's ridiculously inappropriate rap in a song which firstly already has her husband Jay Z and secondly Kanye's verse seems so random that he just suddenly starts off the song with explicit details about his intimate moments with Kim (bound 2 part 2 much?). I'm like what's the need to add a third person to a song which is about Bey and Jay? Thank God for Mariah and her sensible songs. Also please don't give up on You're Mine, it has just been 4 days. Obviously Mariah won't let it fade away, it is an official single and she has been very clear about it. She may have some strategies planned out, give it time.

Mariah is stuck (41,409) by jaker20 from US
Over the last 4 years or so I have posted similar message to this, and the my point hasn't really changed, i.e. Mariah is stuck. She is not growing or changing anymore. And if the artist is not changing or growing, you can't really expect to gain new fans, or old fans to stay with you. The fans have moved on, grown, got smarter, changed tastes. MC did not. Here she is again singing lyrics that seem taken from two decades ago, sounding like she did in many of her songs, and a video that looks very much like she did in the past, very sexy, sensual, looking beautiful. The only difference is she is slightly older now. Where is the artistry and creativity that she's talking about in American Idol? Where are the clever lyrics she did in TEOM? She needs to collaborate, learn from other artists, experiment new sounds and genre, and become a respected artist. The sameness is her songs, style, and the loopy overtly sexy image is very tiring. She has nothing new to say in her songs, no new experiences to share on her lyrics. MC is stuck and can't move forward. She's giving us throwaway songs, because she's in family mode. We all have to work, we all have families. Which is fine and dandy. Just don't expect all "lambs" are going to bite the same shtick.

Very uninspired song (41,408) by jaker20 from US
If this is her comeback, then this comeback is off to a false start because it's really not impacting so much. If she has to reply on "promo", you know there will be a struggle for the song. I don't know what's going on. I don't think she's inspired to be creative at the moment, and the past four years for that matter. Add this to the loopy behavior lately, and this new album gets me worried. I don't think she has to chase the charts anymore, but at least come up with a solidly creative song, or you can just take care of the kids because I don't want to see a flop happening again for the 3rd time (or is it 4th now), and a supposed album that never happens.

Addicted (41,406) by Alexis from USA
I have been listening to this song (mostly the Trey remix) for several days, morning, noon, and night. Is this unhealthy? Or have other lambs done this with other songs? I don't recall ever doing this with another MC song.

She's ours (41,405) by Zachary from Croatia
I waited for a few days to make piece with this song and to try to memorize the lyrics, the melody. I failed. This post is like being gay and finally coming out after being tired of making excuses. Triumphant. I was excited because I was hoping for a up beat song but it didn't happen. Instead, I got a somebody feat. Mariah. The funny thing is that from all of 4 songs that she released, that one is my favorite: cool lyrics, catchy melody, cool video. But comeback didn't happen and I got tired explaining my friends why/how/when/teaser/bla bla. Almost Home. Cool song, awesome beat, but promotion sucked and the video is terrible. Beautiful. Great but that Miguel. Ugh. He was in the way. TAOLG. So sad that it didn't had a video .Again tired of excuses and explaining others where is Mariah/she's gone/Celine 2/boring/bla bla. You're Mine. I don't get it. I don't hear her properly, video is so terrible, no melody, no catchines, no nothing. Song isn't ear candy and it will never be a hit. I am trying to lie to myself with an excuse that this is just released for stupid Valentine's Day and that the real summer smash hit wonder hit will be coming really soon and it will be epic. It's getting really hard to watch somebody sinking because of the strange people taking care of her career, stupid interviews, annoying husband and boring music with an excuse "I am sick of this techno craze". I don't need a techno craze faze but I am hungry for a song like Emotions, It's Like That, Get Your Number, even Loverboy.

Stephen, YM (E) / radio release (41,403) by Edward from USA
Stephen, I think this is a good song, but many people are judging it based on chart success and not on quality. When a Mariah single has been released to radio, Mariah Daily Journal usually posts a list of radio stations across the country for fans to request it. That happened with Triumphant and #Beautiful, but not with "The Art of Letting Go" or "You're Mine (Eternal)" yet. I really think it was released to some radio stations, but not to the ones that reach a broader audience, since they want to capitalize on the BET performance. The strategy might be exposing the song through a deal with Clear Channel stations on the 18th, that's how #Beautiful got momentum, and then regular radio airplay took off from there. I don't consider paying Clear Channel as payola because their audience impressions don't count towards any chart, but they serve as medium to let people know about the song. It is usually a one day thing, but they play it at the top of every hour.

Number one singles (41,402) by You Want This from United States
Someone who posted before me said something about a conspiracy in the industry to keep other artists from breaking records set by The Beatles. I have to say that it doesn't sound far fetched to me at all. The people truly behind the music industry, which is neither the artists or the consumers, love to make it seem as if the records set by The Beatles are impossible to beat. Has it ever occurred to anyone that many artists could have actually surpassed them if it hadn't been for propaganda? Think about it, Mariah could have more number ones and Michael Jackson could have surpassed them in sales/popularity, but it seems as whenever someone approaches the "Fab Four", negative publicity because prevalent and they are basically shunned.

My own 2 cents (41,401) by 123 from USA
People talking about Mariah just making music and not caring about the charts is off base. When you have a record contract, you have to care. Now I firmly believe that her last two albums weren’t a success because of two reasons: lack of promo and poor single choices. For the first time in her life, she chose her personal life over her career, and I’m ok with that. She has had enough time to enjoy her personal life with her marriage and birth of her twins and I believe she is finally ready to come back. She is coming back hard with the promo and a great song. I firmly believe that her career now has her full attention. Now, is she expecting everything to go number 1? No. However I also believe that she has an album full of great songs that have potential to go number 1. Obsessed didn’t do so well at first but it eventually went on to chart at number 7 with little promo and Beautiful charted at number 15 even with the discombobulated promo and so so performances. If you like the song, support and lets just wait to see what happens. Heck, if people have creative ideas, post them, you never know.

Too early to tell / give credit when due (41,399) by 123 from USA
Are fans really calling You're Mine a flop already? She just released it and has been promoting non-stop since its release. I see people saying she needs to promote more. This woman has been everywhere, calling in radio stations, wedding ceremonies, video countdown shows, all except go around and kiss babies at this point. We have yet to see what else they have planned for the song. JD has been doing a great job getting her back out there and staying out of the way which is commendable. iTunes is not the end all be all. Have people forgotten that Vevo streams count towards chart positions? Both the original and remix audio were available the same day of release and both videos within a couple days of each other. All on Vevo. I assume they are getting streams first and then will proceed with strategically placed performances right before it officially goes out to radio. Why are people saying this song is boring? It is the best song out of the bunch so far, and you don’t release an uptempo in the middle of winter, you save those for the spring/summer. Can we also let the song to grow and the promotion to continue? Just because it doesn’t shoot to number 1 its first week doesn’t mean anything. This song is a hit song, mark my words. For those saying that she won’t reach the top like she did in the 90’s, did they forget the record breaking WBT and TEOM? She was bigger then than in the 90s.

You're Mine (41,398) by clueey23 from USA
The song hasn't even impacted radio yet. It's been out for like four days at this point and people on this messageboard are already calling it not a hit. Yet, critics and people seem to like the song. The song won't impact radio until the 18th. With MC all over the place with promotion she'll get her spins, especially with the Trey Songz remix. I forget who broke down the concept of the video but I thank you.

Pleasing everyone (41,397) by Alex from England
Truth of the matter is she can't please everyone. While I do understand that some folks may not like the song and it's completely fine (obviously) I do get anoyed with people complaining about every little thing about MC, the promotion, the interviews, the videos, the remixes, this, that and this again. Honestly, when she was releasing hiphop songs everyone was like "we need a Mariah ballad". When she releases a ballad, people want an uptempo because ballads don't work anymore at radio. If she still makes the music shelikes without compromising her artistic integrity, people say she needs to change it up to have another #1, but I'm sure if she had a song produced by David Guetta featuring Pitbull everyone would lash out like no one's business. It is ok not to love a song or an album or whatever and to actually say it, it is another to want to shape someone into something else just so you can like it. Mariah is a human being, she will make the music she wants, period. PS: Also, Mariah is not the one who decides when to release her album so all the pushbacks are not her fault. A record label will not spend millions on promotion for an album if the first single doesn't take off. I'm just tired of all the constant gratuitous bashing. For the love of God, can we rejoice that our favourite artist is still making music 24 years into her career? If Mariah needs to stick out her tongue or pretend being fucked by Robin Thicke to be #1, I'd rather she was #50 and still be the Mariah I love.

Blake (41,396) by Lamb_O_Chop from Australia
I don't think the general public as a whole really cares about her diva antics or that it's so bad that it's affecting her career, artist like Rihanna and Eminem both have horrible attitudes and people still support their music. Rihanna hit a fan in the head with a microphone in a concert and is constantly cussing them out on instagram, yet she still racking up number 1 hits. I guess she has more a forgiving fanbase and great support in the industry. Besides, the whole "diva" thing is "tongue and cheek" for Mariah anyway, unfortunately some of the general public may not get that, but her lambs should. Mariah is not as horrible as people want or make her out to be.

You're mine (41,395) by Isaac Ortiz from USA
I love Mariah, and always will. But let's face it, "You're mine" isn't a hit song. I think that Mariah just released the song for Valentine's Day. I honestly think that she will release a better song. Though it makes me wonder if the album will really be released in May. Who knows? "Triumphant", "Beautiful" and "The art of letting go" are all great songs. They all impressed me a lot. And I wished there would have been a video to "The art of letting go". It also makes me wonder if the new album will have a long track list or be a double album. Mariah needs another song like "It's like that" or "Beautiful" if she wants another hit. I know she can do it.

Radio (41,394) by RadChad from United States
Bottom line is, she needs radio to back her up. You can't really have a hit these days without airplay. I believe this is the reason why many of her singles haven't done well lately. Once a women reaches Mariah's age in the industry, staying on top is more of a challenge because of the age bias. I won't even get into my theory of the industry not wanting her to break The Beatles' record conspiracy. If she gets the airplay she deserves, this song will become at least a top 15 if not top 5 hit. Regardless of this songs' fate, I love it, listened to it on repeat for 15 mins straight when I was on the treadmill the other day and about to listen to it God knows how many more times after this. Mariah please don't delay this album anymore, just drop it in May like you have planned and let it do what its gonna do. I know it will at least go gold regardless of the promotion or hit singles.
