Remix on the way? (38,281)
by Will from England
| |
|
|
Seeing how Mariah seems to be filming a new video with Miguel, it's more than likely that she's readying to release the remix. The timing of this release hopefully will keep up the momentum of #Beautiful until the new single is released and then the album.

Album title (38,280)
by Musti from UK

Honestly, I don't really like it. It sounds a little cheesy to me, and I've grown not to expect that from Mariah - Music Box, TEOM, #1's (if I'm not wrong, she was the first to start the #1's album trend), etc. It still hasn't been confirmed by Mariah's camp but it's very likely that AOLG will be the album's title. But again honestly, I couldn't care less what the title is. I'm so hungry for new material that I'm already sure this album will be my favourite since Butterfly.

I agree about that pic that Zimbio has up. I hope that this is the official album cover. It's simple and pretty.

The Art Of Letting Go (38,278)
by Edward from USA

On one hand "The Art Of Letting Go" sounds like the title of a self-help book from Deepa Chopra to me. On the other hand, it sounds like a great title for a song. I hope she has a good remake, and that some of the songs sample some good retro music. Not too crazy about this album title. .

Mariah /Miguel (38,277)
by Jimbo from UK

Does anyone else find it weird that Mariah is on holiday with Miguel in Capri? Where is Nick in all of this? And why is Mariah going into the Blue Grotto with Miguel instead of her own husband? Is she letting go of her own husband? I'm worried.

The title sounds far more intriguing than MOAIA IMO. When I heard the title for that album, I was like "hmmm, sounds interesting", but with this one, it really caught my attention as a serious standout title. It's so different to her other album titles, even when compared to TEOM or even MOAIA. Very excited for this era.

I wonder what kind of cover art we'll get. The article posted by Zimbio on this website with her in the pool looks amazing. I'd love a facial shot ala Music Box, Daydream, etc. We'll see. So can't wait for the album to drop next month.

The Art of.... (38,274)
by Blake from USA
| |
|
|
Honestly, I love the title. It's refreshing to me and vulnerable at the same time. Let's keep in mind how much Mariah has been through since Memoirs: Nick's health issues, having twins which she experienced bringing life into the world and what is did to her body and mind is huge. Many can call her human now, in a good way. But slowing down and taking time to have a family. This all huge for her considering her catalog is close in years. I never thought after E=MC2, we would have another album a year later. Mariah has been saving songs since 2009 and she is about to reveal a lot that is obviously real close and intimate to her. Letting go is a beautiful thing that represents moving on maybe with the world's issues and whatnot. I am geeked for it and if this is the album cover, I freaking love it. Divaness stripped down and giving it like only MC can. I only pray the next single is an uptempo smash-a-ru. Sing it with me now.

I am laughing at them saying that the title is depressing. The art of letting go can be taken in many different ways, but they choose to basically act as if Mariah needs to be on suicide watch because of an album title. Sheesh, get out of here with that mess. Lol. I always say it's a no win situation for Mariah and that's why she should just do what makes her happy. She should have just went with Unicorn lol.

Good title. Sounds mature. Do we think this is indicative of a more mature album, in terms of lyrical content and style? I hope so. I suspect Mariah may be more revealing on this album, as the title suggests. My only concen is that the title is similar in theme to TEOM and Butterfly, and the public may be tired of such themes. For what it's worth, I don't think that will be the case. If th music is on point, and Marih actually bothers to promote it, she'll always do well.

Wow, crazy forshadowing (38,271)
by RadChad from United States

Before even knowing the album title leaked today, I randomly had the thought (based on rumours from weeks ago) that the title "The Art Of Letting Go" not only sound like an epic monstrous hit, but would also make an awesome album title. Crazy right? I think this is a sign of things to come, because I also felt that it would catapult the success of the album and that the song would blow minds even shocking us lambs (in an overwhelming good way). If so then bucket your seat belts, because we have another song of the decade on the way.

Album title (38,270)

Honestly, it really doesn't matter what it is. As long as it is not something so cheesy like Lollipop or whatever, folks will concentrate on the music the album contains rather than the album title. You never hear anyone make fun or bash TEOM because the album spawned two #1 songs and #2 with SIO. The music is that good and so no one focuses on the album title.

I hope you all are enjoying spring/summer. I enjoyed Mariah's Summer Jam performance. No, it wasn't flawless, but it was fun. I'm very much looking forward to the new album, the title is not what I thought, but it sounds interesting. I would love if she would do #Beautiful on Ellen. Come on, MC.

I am not crazy about the title. But I'm very curious about what the lyrics will be. But I don't know what Mariah can teach me about letting go, what experience does she have? Well, I guess it's a matter of time untill we know.

Antone / idiots on the messageboard (38,266)
by Edward from USA
| |
|
|
It is ridiculous to see Antone calling posters of the messageboard idiots just because either he didn't like a post or he simply doesn't have a freaking sense of humor. He should buy himself a clown, lock in a room, and laugh a little. Things don't have to be so damn serious. Whatever happened to having fun? If you see people having fun, you don't have to join them, but you don't have to hate either. That is probably why the webmaster doesn't post his comments. I haven't ever seen anybody address the webmaster just to be allowed to call people idiots in here. As I said, if you follow the rules, Eric is more than fair to everybody here.

The Art Of Letting Go is Butterfly to be continued? (38,265)

The new album's title reminds me of Butterfly, just read through the lyrics. Could it be a new song too with the same title? A Butterfly part II? I love We Belong Together too, I hope the new song is a combination of Butterfly and We Belong Together.

So Mariah has hinted the album title in the tweet? She did the same thing with #Beautiful before its release. "The Art of Letting Go" sounds wired (?) to me, but what matters is the overall quality. I truly feel her sincerity and eagerness to the upcoming album.

Antone / Licia / Edward (38,259)
by Stacey from USA

What the heck happened? I make a funny joke about promotion, no drama toward anyone and some fans just freak out. Antone, try posting your opinions without the name calling or insults toward others and see what happens. Your thoughts will be posted. I guarantee it. You are expected to follow the webmaster's rules just like me and everyone else here. (BTW: I've had posts of mine censored because I didn't follow the rules. I learned from my mistakes and moved forward.) Licia, I'm too much of a prude to put a hashtag before my name. I try and keep my language clean. Edward, I'll let you have full rights to the hashtag, lol. Oh Blake can have it too. I release all rights. Haha. I'm glad there are folks who can laugh and not take everything Mariah so dang seriously.

Promo / Billy (38,258)
by nikki from usa

|
After all this time, people don't give MC credit do they? Mariah's appearances have been promoting the single. After releasing the single to radio, download, and music video in the same week, she's been doing a live appearance almost every week since. There was AI, than Good Morning America the next week, she made a surprise appearance on the epic summer jam concert with Miguel the following week, and sang live at Tamara's wedding this week for a cool 3 million. Everytime she performs, every publication in America talks about it. Especially after she released the explicit version and video, just about ever major radio station talked about it. Singing live and getting people to talk is the biggest publicity you can have. You all forget, when she first comes out, she sings live at several shows, but doesn't do any interviews until it's time to promote the album. I would also have to include all these "behind the scenes" things she's been doing lately have featured on music channels, Entertainment News, and TMZ. There's lots of promotion. Billy, Mariah actually said it during one of her specials, shortly after it happened, that MTV was talking to Carson through his earpeice. So he knew she was coming out, but I don't know that anyone made a formal announcement about that to the public.

TJ / #1's / the new album (38,257)
by Edward from USA
| |
|
|
TJ, #1's shows the world Mariah used the hashtag first 15 years ago. She's always been ahead of her time. She was trending and she didn't even know it. As for the new album goes, Mariah is still cooking it. I haven't seen Mariah so dedicated on an album in a long time. I hope the next single is not a soft ballad.
