Angels advocate (38,890) by Austin from USA I'm still pissed at Def Jam for canceling the Nigel's Advocate album. I know a few of those songs are online, and the dance remix album was great, but I'm dying to hear the Mary J Blige remix of It's A Wrap. Mimi has too much star power to be so controlled by a label. Idol, who cares? (38,883) by Deedre aka MiTodoChop @HBF from Canada I don't think there is any slap in the face to be had. Mariah is done with Idol, period. And truthfully, I think doing the show as a judge not as a mentor was something MC was talked into by others and she agreed because the idea of nurturing and encouraging new talent was what motivated her. It takes a strong person to be unwavering in who they are, and not to give in to the demands of the ratings production machine. I knew when JLo performed at the finale, she would be the obvious choice for the following season. Nothing more, nothing less. Good luck, Idol. I'm moving on, too. (Friday 2 August 2013; 17:14)

As for AI, if Mariah didn't get along with the producers, I take that as her not wanting to change who she is for the sake of money and ratings. Seems like they wanted crazy, self absorbed, diva Mariah and they got a professional who was trying not make it about herself. So if J. Lo is willing to do what the producers want then let her have it. It's not like Mariah needs it or even cares. Seems to me like they only brought J. Lo back to add more fuel to the Mariah being replaced by J. Lo stuff hoping it will make people interested in AI again. Just like the fight with Nicki. They could have played that song during the scenes between Angela Basset and Wesley Snipes characters. I wouldn't doubt if Babybface had the idea in mind, but I think he kept it to himself. At that time, the supposed Diva fued was at its height between Mariah and Whitney. They darn near put every R&B female singer on the dang soundtrack except Mariah, which I feel was purposely done. Special K / Melt Away (38,871) by Randy from USA I have a theory here, it is a stretch. You have to go with me on this one. You know that Babyface co-wrote and co-produced this song. Daydream came out October 3. The Waiting To Exhale Original Soundtrack album came out November 14. He wrote and produced the whole soundtrack. I believe he may have wanted Melt Away for that soundtrack and film. Clive and Tommy weren't having it. Clive probably didn't want MC's songwriting ability to upstage Whitney, especially since the first single was hers and the buzz was centered around her. She was an executive producer in addition. Tommy wasn't allowing MC to sing on any other label, especially if it could cut into her album sales. What do you think? (Thursday 1 August 2013; 1:23)

New era (38,867) by Jay from USA I feel like all this waiting for the new album is not necessarily Mariah's fault. I feel like it may be the record company's fault. Maybe "fault" is a strong word to use, but it seems like they are focusing on other "artists". It just seems really strange that she's been working on this album for so long. I hope things get worked out in the end (and I also hope that it's not an album full of Triumphants and #Beautifuls).
