No. "Mariah" is a bullshit title that has so little meaning, and what meaning it does have has been done before by so many crap artists who thought they were "really showing the inner me" (cue barfing). 2. Mariah has been making the "music she really loves" since Sony. Nobody has told her what to make. The fact that most of it hasn't sold well is telling. Nobody wants Mariah to make self-indulgent crap. They want her to make music people want to hear, in her inimitable way. Self-referential crap title with self-indulgent crap music? Odyssey of Sound (93,663) by Andrew from the United Kingdom If Mariah makes one more self-referential album title (for instance, as suggested, "Mariah") I will stop paying her attention. "Odyssey" in itself is a good title. I would develop it perhaps to something like "Odyssey of Sound". It's universal, it doesn't sound feminine (which alienates her male audience) and it could represent a shift in musical gear, a change in direction. It sounds mature and sophisticated. Of course we could always have "Here I am, Mimi, the floating necklace-wearing unicorn". (Thursday 16 April 2020; 23:35)
