Jussie Smollett (88,802) by RibbonB from USA
Wow, stunning news, according to several news reports, all charges against Jussie have been dropped. There is definitely more to this story than we may ever know.

Re: Mariah, Damizza, the car (88,798) by Dove from United States
I've had people get out of moving cars on me twice. The first time was a drug addicted kid who I was taking to a military school type place for troubled youth. The second time was my drunk aunt was was not ready to leave the club yet. I went to pick her up after being alerted she was acting like a fool and falling over drunk. Both times I highly doubt they were trying to end their life. I think they just weren't thinking and really didn't want to go where I was taking them. They were hurt but they didn't die. Not sleeping for many days is almost like being very drunk.

Not that I'm judging her if her thoughts ever did become that dark. I had a moment of not wanting to live once. A long time ago I read somewhere that suicide is more often an act of anger than an act of sadness. Not sure if that's true but looking back I think for me it might have been. I'm embarrassed to say but it was over a guy. It was so many mind games and I was already going through a lot at the time. On top of an underlying depression I've had since middle school.

My ex-husband and I had just separated (the first time) and I was seeing the other guy (who the song The Roof reminds me of). Also, my ex-husband and his bully of a father were not making it easy for me to walk away. They would call me (what felt like) hundreds of times a day threatening me and belittling me and my family. The dad called my aunt (the one from earlier in this story) and my mom to bully them. He called my aunt's work and tried to get her fired. It was awful. They threatened to take my son and never let me see him again. And constantly called me a whore because I was dating someone else.

Then on top of that, the guy I was dating (and was in love with) was playing mind games. It hurt so much and I just wanted it all to be over. That day I got to my breaking point, my young son walked in the room and I snapped out of it. I thought "I can't die, who will love and take care of this kid like I will?" He saved my life. I'm sharing this story because I've been so sad, angry, and frustrated that I just didn't feel like I could do it anymore. I know people have been through way worse than this but sometimes our minds can be very fragile. This was a long time ago but things have gotten a lot better and today I'm glad I'm still here.

Re: MIAMTEC (88,785) (88,797) by Dove from United States
Yeah, that's probably why I like MIAMTEC more. I love Caution too, though. I'm just surprised when people say MIAM was not good because it's top 3 for me.

For The Record appreciation (88,796) by Licia from USA
I love, love this song. I'm at work listening to this one song back to back. I'm pretty sure my coworkers want to shank me. Lol. My second favorite from E=MC. I was so happy that it turned out to be a full song after I heard a clip of the song on one of the perfume commercials. She talked so much crap on the bridge. That part makes the song even greater to me. I know I can't be the only one who enjoys this one. Lol.

The truth about Mariah (88,795) by anonymous from UK
As many other people have pointed out, not only will we never know the intricacies of Mariah's personal life vs what she chooses to put out for public consumption, it's also upsetting to learn that someone you admire so much may have tried to end their own life.

Mariah is, as extraordinarily talented as she is, just a human. That means she's not immune to the mental traumas of everyone else. Whether she did or did not try commit suicide, we will never know. But I would honestly not be surprised if she did. She's a person above anything else, beyond the legend and the megastar, she's simply human. It's her life and business, she owes nobody an explanation about what her personal life entails. I think it's naive at best and downright insulting at worst to think that a person wouldn't think to end their own life when life gets too much and their own mind can't rationalise. Sadly, millions of people take their own lives, for a multitude of reasons. What we do know for a fact is she is very much alive, and thank god.

I love Mariah so much, as much as I can as a fan who doesn't know the actual human. I try to look at life from the perspective that, we don't know each individual, even as much as it's tempting to think we do because of the very public persona. Do we all have an opinion on what we see? Sure. But just remember - however many people there are on this planet, around 7 billion I think right now, that means there are that many "realities". No two people see or experience the world exactly the same, our own reality is nothing more or less than how we see the world. Reality only really exists outside of human perspective, it's not a definite thing that definitely exists, because as humans we see things from our own limited points of view.

The point of this is to say, none of us here on this board is in Mariah's circle, none of us know what's gone or has happened, and as such, we should reserve judgement or overtly emotional thinking when the topic of Mariah comes up. I personally just adore the woman, and offer my heartfelt love and support to someone who has indirectly enriched my life.

Hiya fine folks at MCArchives, a team of us thirsty lambs have created RadioANoNo.Club, an interactive lamb-driven online database of stations that are playing or have added "A No No". I hope this doesn't count as spam? Like I said, we're thirsty.

Both arguments are valid. Personally, I hope Mariah keeps making music for years to come because her music still resonates with me.

I think it will receive a nomination for Best R&B Album if not it will only further highlight the Grammy's bias towards her.

Geez, it clearly is about Nick. Lol but you tried it again. I wasn't mocking you, nor did I think you were mocking me in our previous debate on the song Thirsty. I did think you were trolling, but hey, we just have to agree to disagree on that one.

And yet, when I said Thirsty was indeed about Damizza, everyone mocked me and said it was about Nick, when it so clearly isn't.

According to a delusional black out drunk liar. Please, she would bother with a delusional nutbag like him. It's not worth her time and he's not likely to stop, which is different from a business owner who doesn't want negative attention. So yes unauthorized books and articles, books etc are written everyday about OJ, MJ, and even Mariah, Aretha, Madonna the list goes on. Silence is not approval.

Re: MIAMTEC (88,770) (88,785) by Andrew from London, UK
Because Caution is clever but altogether a bit uninspiring. There isn't a single track to propel it forward. Mariah's uptempos often gave you the feeling of being hurled into the next track, giving the album a feeling of pace. On Caution it is missing along with, really, any memorable hooks to bop along to. Imagine Music Box without Now That I Know and I've Thinking About You, or Emancipation without Say Something and Get Your Number. Then make the other tracks sound samey and then remove any vocal histrionics. Bam, you got yourself a Caution album. MIAM was at least upbeat mostly.

Re: Mariah, Damizza, the car (88,775) (88,784) by Bill from the UK
We won't know what really happened during that period until Mariah's book, The Elusive Memoirs of an Emancipated, Cautious, and Imperfect Chanteuse, is released. Assuming of course she even addresses it. Personally I'm not sure why Damizza would lie, but as it's been said it's probably an exaggeration of the truth.

Re: Marissa (88,782) by Nikki from usa
I agree with you. I think her new strategy has more to do with being signed with Jay-Z than anything. MC isn't a performer and she seems depressed when she's on the road for too long. I think she needs to make up her own new strategy. So many fans want to see her live or unplugged. I think she should plan out a great concert for just one arena. Sell the album along with the price of the concert ticket. It will be unplugged, well planned, and televised, then eventually for sale. Then, make a new album and repeat. She has side businesses with makeup, perfume, and what not. She could use new songs to go along with commercials for those ventures. She could release songs to ringtones again and buff up her merch while she's at it.

Suicide? (88,781) by Nikki from usa
Mariah went on a maze of interviews to discuss that very topic after her breakdown. She went into great detail of her breakdown during interviews afterward to specifically debunk the suicide claim. She was clearly ticked because of it. I think those certain people are aware of that which is why they're spreading those rumors in the first place. According to Mariah, she stopped sleeping after If We was stolen to protect her project from further theft. After the 9th day of no sleep people were recongnizing her odd behavior which is why her mom took her home. Mariah passed out and was taken to a hospital. She was given a psych evaluation after she woke up. That's what they do when someone is depriving themselves of life necessities like food or sleep. That can kill you. She didn't know that. They needed to make sure she didn't have a worse underlying issue. MC never brought up her diagnosis at this time obviously. However, she was allowed to go because she didn't have a self-harm issue. She was just a workaholic and apparently also bi-polar, which we learned later. However, paparazzi caught her leaving the psych ward and the media had a frenzy.

Mariah's networth (88,780) by Nikki from usa
Celebrity Networth, who's been claiming Mariah's networth of over 500 million, just lowered it to 300 million this year without a word of why. Same thing happened to Shakira. I had seen a celebrity networth magazine edition this month and saw a lot of people on the cover. J.Lo and Madonna had a lot of mentions in it, I was just surprised Mariah had none. Now, they're televising Mariah's "breakdown" made of people that trash her? I'm not sure what the point is of all of this.

MC is such a huge fan of Marilyn Monroe and she kept her wealth under wraps. Mariah doesn't publicize hers either. She didn't even announce how much her residency was worth in 2014. I didn't get how MC could be worth over 500 in 2011, get that AI gig, go on tour, have all those endorsements, and it only went up 20 by 2014. It's never been raised since then and now it's decreased by 200 million.

Unauthorized (88,779) by Nikki from usa
That's what it's called when someone writes a bio for you without your input or consent. You can use anybody's name and talk about them at any time. It's called freedom of speech. Many times they'll put that directly on the cover.

Re: Mariah, Damizza, the car (88,775) (88,778) by Edward from USA
I remember, if I'm not mistaken, when Eric was sent a cease and desist letter from printing his little magazine that only promoted Mariah back when she was still popular, and he's in The Netherlands. So you think Mariah's people wouldn't do anything to stop such an "untruth"? Child please. According to Damizza, she read the chapter, didn't see anything wrong with it and Oked it. He talks about Mariah but he doesn't badmouth her or anything, and I'm pretty sure she happily agreed with what he had to say about Tommy and his creepy obsession with her. According to Damizza, he was a no nonse friend/boyfriend with her, and she being used ro her yes people and blind lambs appreciated that.
