Clueless (86,140) by Jamie from UK
Probably showing my age here but what does One Mo' Gen mean? Loving the album. Feels like we got quality edgy Mariah back.

Stay Long Love You (86,138) by Lafa from Sweden
Stay Long Love You reminds me of "Hey Macarena". Really funny. Love it.

Finally, something I like (86,137) by Lila from United States
Honestly, I don't like most of the album but I appreciate there's something that I do like on it. I'm really liking Giving Me Life, Stay Long Love You, and Caution. Thanks to Edward I also really like Runway.

Caution review (86,136) by Mirage_Nunez from America
I'm really enjoying this new album. I find myself never knowing what to expect with (certain songs) on new Mariah albums, so what that said I was pleasantly surprised with some of the new tracks. I'm ranking the songs in two parts.

Previous released songs:
1) The Distance definitely want a epic 80s style dramatic video for this in several different tints (blue, pink, yellow etc). Piggy backing off her Fallon performance maybe she should channel the 80s cartoon gem with big hair, fishnets, and a beautiful tattered short dress (also in the spirit of Glitter as well).
2) With You. Classic Mariah warm comforting vocals, perfect for this season. Love love this song.
3) GTFO. Edgy yet laid back and relatable.
4) A No No. I like it, very party anthem, I can see it being a club jam across America.

New album songs:
1) One Mo Gen is actually my favorite track on the album. Pure gold. I absolutely love the harmonies, I love the melody and the production, it just perfectly captures a mood. I can imagine this being one of those melodies that came to Mariah in which she has to hurry up and record before she forgot it.
2) Caution gives me straight up Aaliyah vibes, I love the melody, the guitar riffs, and the overall smoothness of the song.
3) Giving Me Life. I'm glad she did a lower register song and this song just grabs you, pulls you in and makes want to listen immediately. Almost like it should be in a movie scene; I can really see a mini movie video for this one.
4) Portrait. The classic introspective track every Mariah album needs. Beautifully written and delivered. I really want her to close the tour with this one.
5) Stay Love (Love You). I enjoyed the bounciness of the track, the album needed this note on it.
6) 8th Grade is a good track, sung well, produced well. I just haven't connected with it yet like the others. Kind of how I never connected with Stay The Night from TEOM which is also a greatly produced track, but all in I still appreciate both songs.

The overall the album was a vibalious with mellow moods and sprinkles of stone grooves. In lament terms a great effort. Very current, fresh sounding while keeping the integrity of her musical identity. Nothing was contrived or trying too hard. It's just a smooth organic in touch updated Mariah. Her artistry feels very authentic on this album, I can feel that she's really expressing herself as an artist and not necessarily chasing radio hits.

She has given us so much musically over the years: she's given vocals, she's given great lyrical content, she's experimented with her sound, she has been a trendsetter. So whatever you feel didn't get on this album, she has already covered in one of her other 15 albums. At this point I'm just glad to get new, fresh, current music from her, because she has nothing left to prove and could easily stop doing music period. I'm pleased and grateful for this album. Thank you Mariah.

New music (86,135) by Tameka walker from United states
I love Mariah Carey's new music. Also I purchased three copies to help out. I also want to purchase a copy from iTunes to help. I am one of Mariah 's biggest fan. Her voice is unmatched and second to none. Her songwriting skills are amazing. I need another lamb to email me and explain how to download. I hope all the lambs enjoy the new music.

Re: Stream Caution (86,108) (86,134) by Myles from CT, USA
Yes. So far I have purchased 5 copies of the album. Yes that is extreme but that is the best $50.00 I spent in a long time. Currently also streaming on Apple Music while at work.

Runway (86,132) by Terna from Nigeria
Ok I'm convinced Mariah loves and cherishes her Asian fans much more because this song is everything. Wow, It really completes this album and leaves a bright hopeful feeling as the official album closer "Portrait" leaves this dark uncertain feeling that left me bothered, but with lyrics like "let love be your runway" and those whistles and belts at the end, one word - euphoric put a big smile on my face. God I love this woman.

Re: Runway (86,109) (86,130) by Bill from the UK
Runway is a great song. As I don't care much for GTFO, I actually (gasp) replaced it with Runway on my iTunes. Runway at the end ruined the impact of Portrait, but it sounds great starting the album off. Woke up this morning with One Mo Gen running around in my head. Still flawed by that one. It sounds so retro, and has a fun "Heat" vibe to it. Just love it. I've been playing the album all day, haven't enjoyed one this much since E=MC2.

#1's (86,129) by Billy from Greece
Happy twentieth anniversary to one of the most iconic (not) greatest hits compilations in pop culture with an equally iconic cover. Wait a minute, this is too deep. "Sweetheart", "When You Believe", "I Still Believe", "Theme from Mahogany", I adore the bonus tracks. I'm all caught in "Caution" so I'll just leave it here. Twenty years? Oh my.

Caution album signing (86,128) by Jared from USA
You guys, she sang to me. I was wearing my light-up t-shirt, and I can't remember what she said at first, but she clearly liked it. I said, "It's sound activated." So she goes, "What do I have to do?" Then I guess it clicked. GTFO was playing in the background, so she sang along to "take your tingz and be on your merry way". At this point, I just didn't know what to say, so I just blurted "I love you so much" before I was whisked away by the folks who were running the event. Anyway, I am dead now and my funeral is tomorrow.

Caution album (86,127) by 90sMariah from SG
It's pretty good. I believe it's her best work since Memoirs. I'm skipping MIAM on purpose because that album is a incohesive mess, imo; I didn't like most of the songs and I haven't listened to that album since 2014. Anyway, unlike Caution, the album feels and sounds cohesive. I love 8th Grade, The Distance, Portrait, A No No - love them all, ok? Yes, it didn't have those big vocals that she used to have in her previous works, but I like it. She no longer has to prove herself to anyone because she's done it all vocals wise. So - congrats, Mariah. I really do hope this album goes to number 1 next week, you deserve it. That's all.

Genius interview (86,126) by 90sMariah from SG
It was good, but it would've been better if she could just answer the questions without going on a loop or on a tangent. Just answer the questions, Mariah. Then she'd pretend to whisper to herself to echo what she thinks the people involved in her stories are saying or what they're going to say about her responses. It's like she's talking to the other voices in her head out loud lol; it was pretty frustrating and strange if you ask me. Also, she should try and learn how to own up to her past works regardless of their history, instead of dodging and acting defensive (like using the word emblazoned in two of her songs, or Glitter). She kept saying it's all in her upcoming book blah blah, when the questions didn't even require her to give full details just short anecdotes. Oh, Mariah.

Re: Fallon (86,115) (86,125) by Stacey from USA
Yeah, she could've handled the Glitter praise a bit better. For an album that caused a lot of grief the passed 17 years, to see it hit #1 should have seen MC be a bit more grateful. Stick up for that album. Has probably one of my favorite ballads on it: Lead The Way. Then again, as someone who has battled depression/anxiety, it might have been a dark enough time, that she doesn't want to dwell on it too much. Anyways, her interview was great and performance too. I couldn't tell what was lipped or not. That's a good sign. What was funny was Ty Dolla put his mic down on parts his voice was heard. Oeps. All in all, she did great. The Distance is growing on me.

For me (86,124) by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)
I really appreciate this album. It sticks to the formula and sound that MC is most comfortable with R&B and with splashes of hip hop but to me it sounds fresh, fun, and sexy. Honestly she worked with people who many of hoped for and the album still screams MC to me. I can also tell she is enjoying her relationship with Tanaka despite others' opinions and it shows with her confidence as of late. Long story short I am loving Caution.

Re: Runway (86,109) (86,123) by Bobby A from United States
So true. I hope MC does more songs with Lido and Skillrex. These two have given MC a fresh new sound. And it works with her current voice. Runway is pure brilliance. I have never heard a more perfect mix of R&B and Pop. Can you imagine the dance remixes? Wow.

Re: Caution tidbits (86,080) (86,120) by enwar00 from usa
Yes that was my initial thought, but the dark sound and lower register make me think of the other one. I heard both in there. It's a great song and really stood out upon first listen.

Caution hashtag (86,119) by T from USA
When hasthtaging on twitter we should all come up with the same one so it starts getting attention. I like #CautionSpirit as I think it's one Mariah would pick up on and use. Simple #Caution works as well. Just noticed MTV and a lot of other media sources are using the hasthtag #MariahCaution.

Article: Mariah Carey performs The Distance live on Jimmy Fallon (86,118) by Matthew from USA
Nice. Mariah isn't playing around. She's like I know these fools gon' say I'm lip syncing, so let me sing with Ty on his part and then let me sing during the chant at the end as well. She sounded good and she was live, and not in a ballgown doing this particular song. Very nice indeed. Also, Stay Long Love You. I just realized if Drake did Gunna's part, this song would be a hit. But seriously, they kind of sound alike. Is anyone else hearing this? It's turned that song around for me now. So it's GTFO, Distance, A No No, and Stay Long Love as my favs.
