Re: Luis Miguel La Serie (82,695) (82,697) by RibbonB from USA
I thought it was a one season, one shot series. I said it was shade when the other guy said Miss Sodi was playing Mimi. Lost in translation I suppose.

New appearances and promos (82,696) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I'm loving her new appearances and promos. I enjoyed the short "Never Have I Ever" segment with Harper's Bazaar. The Kimmel interview went smoothly, She stayed on point, didn't go off tangent and keep blabbering about irrelevant things. This is the Mariah we need right now. I also enjoyed the short teaser for her upcoming European leg of the Christmas tour. Sorry if this has already been shared. It's nice, festive and cute. She looks gorgeous.

Luis Miguel La Serie (82,695) by Pau from Mexico
Hello lambily. I just realized I've been so excited watching on Netflix Luis Miguel's series and I totally forgot to comment in here about it. This post is for everybody that would like a quick catch up:
1. Straight to the point: No, Mariah is not mentioned in this first season. Why? The series started at 1987 when Luis Miguel was 17 years old and was very famous and was about to become the super start that he is. Every episode we go back in time to 1980-1982 to understand how everything started.
2. Camila Sodi (Thalia's niece) is going to play the part of Isabella Camil a Mexican actress and socialité. They had a relationship for seven years. Why Camila? It has nothing to do with Thalia, it is not a shade. Camila Sodi attracts the media so it is good for the series, she is good actress and she is very pretty.
3. Mariah could possibly be mentioned in the second series. It is not a sure thing. There's no info about it because they haven't done it yet. It all depends on Luis Miguel in how much he is willing to share about it. In Mexico it's been said that Mariah went public about her bipolar disorder because of the series.
Guys, I strongly recommend you to watch Luis Miguel La Serie. It is just amazing and very well done. Every week in Mexico twitter and facebook go crazy after they release a new episode. Luis Miguel has been breaking some records on Spotify and his career is having a come back after all the shitty situations he had in the last years.
I wish Mariah would do a series like this. It humanizes the person and it allows anyone to sympathize and understand why they are how they are. Luis Miguel's life has been definitely very dark and as a Lamb I know he and Mariah found a lot of things in common.

Re: Mariah Christmas tickets (82,691) (82,694) by Billy from Greece
The tickets are officially going for sale tomorrow, right? However, on certain sites (like the controversial Viagogo) they are already up for sale, which I find weird and the prices are indeed not the best.

That would explain his hair in that teaser clip and the I'm her friend comment. I wish I could watch the series but Telemundo is not free with Dish Network. Ugh, I used to be able to watch it free via regular tv a long time ago. I know Netflix has it, but not for U.S. subscribers. Anyone that gets to the Mariah part eventually I think probably in future seasons, please post a link to footage if you can.

Ticket brokers and scalpers buy them all up to resell.

Mariah Christmas tickets (82,691) by John john from UK
Anyone else having trouble getting any good seats for her December shows? First time in 13 years that I've ever had an issue. Anyone else? Is this a good sign? Mariah popular in UK? Or is it greedy people buying and selling at a higher price?

Jimmy Kimmel (82,690) by Licia from USA
I really enjoyed this interview. She was funny, looked good, and stayed on point. No complaints here. I loved it.

Kimmel appearance (82,689) by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)
Mariah looked like a nice snack. Also she was alert, she answered the questions without going on an unnecessary tangent. I also appreciated that she was funny and witty without the diva attitude and that is something that she will have to keep in check if she wants the masses to embrace her again. Last but certainly not least as far as the album she is still in the early stages of writing and recording so nothing is sticking just yet. But overall one of her best tv appearances in a very long time.

Re: Luis Miguel (82,684) (82,688) by RibbonB from USA
I have read that the actress is playing Stephanie Salas, the mother of LM's oldest daughter, that he only recently, officially acknowledged is his. The intentional intrigue is tacky though.

What on earth is Mariah (most likely in person) doing with her songs on Spotify? I played the song "Butterfly" yesterday and what played was an unedited acapella of of only her. (It's the same acapella that's been around on YouTube/Soundcloud for years.)

Love, life and Mariah (82,686) by Anthony Basco from Cardiff, Wales
Hey guys, just wanted to share something wit my MC lambily. I'm currently in Miami, FL and it is amazing here. To all the American lambs, I hope I'd get the same amazing treatment I get from your fellow countrymen here because wow, everyone has been amazing to me. I went on a date tonight with an absolutely beautiful gentleman called Nick. And when I say gentleman, I mean gentleman. I was treated like royalty. We kissed in the car when he dropped me off (no first date nudey here haha) and he knows I'm from the UK and he from Jamaica but lives in Miami, but you know what? I've uppped sticks and moved before, that's just the kinda guy I am. I'm now outside having a gin and a cigarette, and listening to our girl. I, of course, had to show him my pic of meeting MC, and tell him how much she has positively affected my life. I'm hearing songs of hers as if it's the first time. Of course, had to give Slipping Away a listen as it's the hot topic and I'm on board. Incredible song. I have a huge thing for Lana Del Rey but Mariah will always be number one to my ears. Anyway, perhaps off topic, but wanted to share the love. Maybe one day I'll be a resident here in Miami and maybe not, but a guy has a right to dream, right?

Mariah looks young an natural and skinny. She's answering questions without rambling, lol.

Re: Luis Miguel (82,681) (82,684) by Susana from USA
I just watched a video of the actress being interviewed and the actress or the show are not ready to reveal "who" she is playing yet. One thing that took me by surprise, is if it is Mariah that she is portraying, she says that she's one of her good friends, she means in real life.

Slipping Away (82,683) by B from USA
I think it would have fit nicely before Always be My Baby replacing Open Arms.

Re: Slipping Away (82,682) by Nikki from usa
But, she did. The label said it was "too urban" and she met the quota of how many "urban sounding" tracks she was allowed to have on the album. Also, it didn't flow with the rest of the album, so she thought keeping UTS on it was more important. Something along the lines of that.

Re: Luis Miguel (82,680) (82,681) by RibbonB from USA
Lol. Oh this actress is listed as TBA on Wikipedia, the shade. Or were they just trying for a surprise. On IMDB she is listed as playing someone named Erika. Perhaps you can provide us English speakers with a weekly series recap. That clip seemed hella shady though, as if he wasn't into the arranged studio romance perhaps, or what? The shade of having Thalia's niece play the "Mimi" character, sheesh.

Actually Mariah will be mentioned in the series, here is the sneak peek, who will be performed by Thalia's niece Camila Sodi.

Five reasons Mariah hasnt had any radio airplay since #Beautiful.
1. She is older now.
2. Too many singles released in the past 5 years didn't have hit potential.
3. Lack of real promotion.
4. She forgot how to put out fun records for radio airplay. When was the last time radio had a Fantasy style record?
5. She hasn't worked with producers who consistently have Hot 100 #1's and top ten hits.
I really feel that a Post Malone collaboration over a trap beat produced by Frank Dukes or a Ed Sherran co-written and produced track could be winners for radio airplay.

I love Tamia, but I'm not loving the new song yet. I'm really trying to though because like I said I love her and my coins are ready for this new album.

LM (82,676) by RibbonB from USA
I caught a bit of the Luis story last Sunday on Telemundo. It looked boring, but I couldn't understand it since it's in Spanish. I got curious and checked the web for the plot lines and cast and wiki and info have no mention of Mimi at all. It seemed as if he focuses on his childhood/family and his babies' mommas. He has plenty of family drama to focus on. I'm sure undecided to gloss right over any other specifics, if any.

Tamia - Leave it Smokin' (82,675) by this_is_qhm from the Philippines
I know there are some Tamia fans in here, so have you heard her new single? It has no explosive chorus, no real infectious hook so I get that it may be underwhelming to some, but you just cannot deny that smooth groove. That's a 90s homage done right. So good. On repeat right now.

That Blackwood guy (82,674) by Billy from Greece
How tacky, cheap and cringe-worthy it is when you see someone using another person's name for their own benefit, let alone claim that Mariah "took a shine" to him, and how "yellow" of talk shows to use Mariah's name as a clickbait. Move on already.

"A look back at Luis Miguel and Mariah Carey" (82,673) by Billy from Greece
This feels like a gazillion years ago. I vividly remember then-current photos of them in various magazines, especially those where Mariah wears that white fringe bikini in early 2001. She seemed quite relaxed with him. It feels so weird to look back at that era and realize how long ago it was.
