Memoirs (82,381) by David from Australia
I'm curious if there are many other fans that love the Memoirs album as much as I do. Personally, it's one of my favourites from her; definitely in my top five. I've seen it get so much dislike on this message board which really surprises me. It's her most cohesive body of work to date and each song flows seamlessly from one to the next. Even though it has more tracks than a typical Mariah album, it doesn't feel overlong at all, unlike MIAM or Charmbracelet. I especially love the old-school R&B vibe of the album; it has such a classic feel to it. Ribbon, The Impossible, Languishing, Candy Bling and Angel's Cry are also some of her best work. If only it had been promoted better, it would've received the justice it deserved. A better cover would've helped too, but otherwise it's a definite highlight in an amazing discography for me.

I mentioned it to some mates in London and Manchester, and they said, "Yeah she'll love it there. It's trashy chavvy central."

The last three mistakes (82,379) by Bobby A from United States
I hope the new album rollout and promotion is orchestrated better than MIAM, MOIA, and E=MC2. First, MIAM had the wrong singles released after Beautiful. There was no album promotion at all. It seems like MC was fed up with Def Jam and vice versa. Naming the album with that weird and long title said it all. Second, letting The Dream and Tricky Stewart write and produce most of MOIA was a total disaster. All the songs sounded alike and MC sounded boring. MC had never before had just one production team create her album sound. She strayed away from her hit making formula and took a catastrophic chance. MOIA lacked great singles after Obsessed and the video for I Want To Know What Love Is was cheesy and unexciting. It should have never been an U.S. single. Third, MIAM had many great single choices after Touch My Body and releasing Bye Bye was a huge mistake. Great song with a message but not a great single choice for maximizing album sales and maintaining chart longevity. Migrate would have been a better single choice. Some A&R executive and L.A. Reid dropped the ball with E=MC2. So let's hope MC returns with a hot album cover and title, multiple promotional rollouts and a great fresh sounding album. The Live Nation deal sounds promising.

We already knew this new tour wasn't to promote a new album though. In the beginning wasn't the original idea for the tour supposed to be centered around Butterfly? I thought that's what I read (correct me if I'm wrong).

Haha I know, right? Blackpool? Should we explain it to the folks? Haha Celine got Deadpool, Mariah got Blackpool. FML.

Re: Mariah in Blackpool (82,373) (82,376) by Anthony Carey from U.K
Hey. I got my MC in Blackpool tickets and absolutely shocked to even say "I am going to see Mariah in Blackpool." I think apart from anything else - it is just part of a bigger plan to get Mariah's name back out there especially in the UK. I am so excited to see what she will perform given that it is a "festival" style - will be the hits again but could certainly use a festive moment/surprise for sure.

I would love for Mariah to start performing Loverboy on the regular. I loved her setlists on the Sweet Sweet Fantasy Tour. Also loved the "Heat" opener when I saw her on the All The Hits tour with Lionel and that she sang I'm That Chick (one of my absolute faves).

Re: Live Nation deal (82,371) (82,374) by Shezz from Pk
It is becoming more and more apparent that this new tour is not in support of a new album. Plus the new tour looks like it is going to be extended to a world tour as per recent articles so just when would she be dropping a new album? Next year? Ofcourse she should take her time and get it right but then wouldn't this current direction of her's feel stale to her later on? The way things are going it just seems like she's going to drop an album soon this year and capitalise on the momentum but when?

Mariah in Blackpool (82,373) by Lee from UK
So I have tickets to see Mariah in Blackpool. This is the strangest sentence to ever leave my mouth. Of all of the places in the UK for Mariah to perform, Blackpool is the last place I would expect to her to be. I am very excited though. Did anyone else manage to get tickets?

Re: Mariah coming to Blackpool (82,367) (82,372) by steviej from uk
Just booked my tickets for the Blackpool show. Don't think I can pass up on not seeing her this year. Saves me money as I was close to booking for the Asian tour. She is working the tour scene so hard these last few years. Let's hope for something festive as I am in golden circle bit.

Live Nation deal (82,371) by Licia from USA
After reading this article it gave me a little hope as far as the Vegas show goes. It won't be a number 1's show, which is great considering she has a huge catalog of songs. Some of those songs in my opinion are better than a few number ones. Here's to hoping we get to hear a few songs that she hasn't performed in a while or ever.

Re: Allure (82,360) Jamie Theakston (82,363) (82,370) by this_is_qhm from the Philippines
There was something there between them, perhaps neither really acted on it and so nothing happened. With his typical dry, British humor which Mariah totally gets, they would've been a fun couple. Oh well.

Always loved their interviews together and the flirty banter between them. Jamie brought out a side of Mariah that relaxed her and was playful. There definitely was an attraction there, on both sides. I do remember the Memior interview they did when they both were married and he had children. It almost sounded like two past loves that both moved on. I do wish they would reunite for another interview if she is in and around where he is.

Mariah coming to Blackpool (82,367) by John john from UK
I went to Live-wire last year (not planned was at a convention there) the lady at the hotel gave us the weekend pass for free, we saw Will Smith, lots of 80's groups and "the Jacksons". It was a great event. I think this will be a great platform for Mimi and something a little different. Anyone planning to go? Think I need to sort work plans out asap and get booked in.

Re: Meet and Greet questions (82,300) (82,366) by Seth M from South Africa
Despite the different opinions expressed here, I would like to express my gratitude to this website because it is through this website that I found out that Meet and Greet tickets are available. I looked on ticketmaster's website and they do not advertise Meet and Greet. Even when I called them (which was hell to get through a human being yo speak to), they said that Mariah is not doing a Meet and Greet.
I always visit this site every day and Eyeguy 759 said that he got his ticket as an Ad On when you check out from ticketmaster. I did that and got a Meet and Greet for 10 September. Mariah's music has been an integral part of my youth and inspired me in so many ways. Her albums have helped me get through challenging situations in the past and I'm so grateful to her as a singer and songwriter that it is natural I want even a moment to meet her at any cost. When she visited South Africa, I was unable to get Meet And Greet tickets because they were sold out within minutes in every city.
I booked accommodation at Harrahs for this Vegas show and will be staying there for a week, from 7 to 14 Srptember. If there are any other lambs going and want to meet up then please email me at vadobrite@gmail.com.

Of the thousands of interviews Mariah has done (hundreds of them I've watched), this is one of the very few that stand out to me because it's really the most comfortable Mariah has been in an interview ever. They've done a few more throughout the years since then, and you just know by how they both talk and flirt that there is (maybe, even now, still is) something there, maybe not romantic feelings, but chemistry, mutual attraction and admiration. They've been rumored to be an item in the past - both deny it, but damn it, it really would have been nice to see them try. They make a really cute couple. Jamiah. Now we'll never know what would've happened if they did. And yeah, traces of that cool, carefree, flirty, fun Mariah exist in her clip for Allure.

William. The serf hast forgotten scripture. Lamb Bible, Book of Ego, Chapter 1, Verse 2: "And lo, Mariah shalt be exalted. And all her enemies shall be bitched about. This is the way and the light. And play Almost Home. Cos it be awesometh."

Re: Allure (82,360) Jamie Theakston (82,363) by Andrew from UK
Her voice is defo not Butterfly era. Let's be honest. But she looks fantastic. It reminded me of the Jamie Theakston interview during said era so I went to rewatch it. Their interviews together are classic. He somehow made a connection with her early on and she is always completely comfortable around him. The sexual tension was palpable, their flirting wonderfully entertaining. The Heart FM interview during the Memoirs era was lovely but also special as a reunion for the fact that Mariah had just been married and she found out that Jamie just gotten married and had had kids. Both of the same age, it was lovely to hear them reunite. I would have Mariah on Heart during the next UK visit to not only meet him again but to co host the Breakfast show with him. Perfect environment for her/massive and mature audience. I cannot be arsed to post all the links so just search on YouTube "Mariah Carey and Jamie Theakston". You will see the Mariah I have been screaming to come back for years. I know she is still in there. The Allure video alludes to it. (See what I did there?)

Re: Allure (82,360) (82,362) by Matty from Vancouver Canada
I couldn't agree more. She's stunning, relaxed, chill, cool, cute, funny, engaged. Awe that feels great to say and see. Nicki Minaj, Ariana Grande, Christina Aguilera and Celine Dion are all going to drop this year, and there's rumours RiRi will drop as well in 2018. But I think this is all a great thing. I think it sets the stage for a year dominated by extremely talented women who can take us to church with their vocals (Nicki aside). Think more in terms of when Whitney, Toni, Braxton, MC, and Celine were all dominating the charts and compliment each others success at the exact same time; verses the past few years where apparently only one woman can be successful at a time. Also, the new summer jams that has been coming out already are the best it's been in years.

Meet & greet prices (82,361) by Dove from United States
$1,000-$1,500 is way too much money to spend to meet someone, at least for me. She's super talented but she's still a person. There are a ton of pictures of her on the internet for free. I'd rather donate that money to a homeless shelter or a single mom.

Allure (82,360) by Bobby A from United States
Mariah is looking so beautiful these days. I really think she is about to show the world again why she is the only songbird supreme. Her voice sounds like it is back to 1997 Butterfly era. I hope she releases a new song in July ahead of the Vegas shows for Song of the Summer. The anticipation and waiting is making me feel really good about The Butterfly Returns era. What other major female artist is releasing a new album this year besides Christina?

Soundtrack to my Life (82,359) by Dove from United States
I've thought about it some more and I'd actually rather have a list of songs that are the soundtrack to her life, rather than covers.

Fantasy album track list (82,358) by Dove from United States
I was bored so I came up with a fantasy album track list. I know some people don't appreciate my love for a cheesefest but it's who I am and it's part of what I have to offer. The album would be titled Eccentric Life or Madness and these would be the song titles:
01. Candy-Colored Mystery
02. Classy Girls Wear Pearls
03. Bright Facade
04. Enigmatic Presence
05. Glitz and Glam
06. The Most Outrageous Parties
07. Hot Stuff (Donna Summer cover)
08. New York City
09. 1983
10. Unicorn Magic (about a honey colored drink)
11. Madness (upbeat track that samples "Our House")
12. Jezebel
13. Fantastic World (Life's a Total Blast) (dance track that samples "Fantastic Voyage")
14. Positively Lovely (ballad)
15. Trade Secret (about the underbelly of the industry)
16. Voluntary Seclusion (sad song)
17. Breathe the Light (surrendering to God)
18. Radiant (Bigger Than Me) (getting in tune with God)
Bonus Tracks:
19. So Will I (Hillsong cover)
20. Oceans (Hillsong cover)
