The major reason of its success was due to Mariah, she looked good, did amazing interviews and sounded even better. History has proven that if Mariah looks snatched, takes the music serious and promotes that nobody can put her down. MIAM is truly one of her best work and one of my most played Mariah albums. I would put it forward that it did not do well because of her, it did well because of Miguel. She even, incredulously, lipped on stage whilst he was singing live. She surely cannot take the credit for this song? The best track from MIAM was YDKWTD which was absolutely killer and beats Migrate to the top of the missed opportunities chart by a stretch. Meteorite was brilliant, as was Cry. (if you count out the painful straining). Camouflage was beautiful. The rest of the album sounds like rehashed versions of previous work and, thus, sounded pretty dated pretty quickly. (Friday 2 February 2018; 19:17)

I think it goes without saying that Mariah is lazy and doesn't really give much of a shit anymore - she hasn't for the best part of a decade now. Mariah postponing the Oz and NZ tour was a facepalm not-again-what's-wrong-with-you moment. And given that it's moved to October, if she were going to release an album this year with a lead first single to properly promote she has six months to write it, record it, produce it and plan and promote it. Which isn't going to happen. Mariah doesn't give much of a shit anymore so everyone ought to have really lowered their expectations by now and stop pissing their pants everytime Mariah says "I love my fans." Celine, as the example, loves her fans. Mariah did once, but seems to now tolerate them as a paycheck and to feed her vanity. No shade intended. Just a reality check. Enjoy the show though. Ed Sheeran's "Perfect" with Beyoncé (80,773) by MusicfanJ from Germany I just heard this version on the radio and I thought how wonderful Mariah would sound on it. I have nothing against Beyoncé but her singing doesn't touch my heart at all. Hmm anyway I think Mariah won't work with Ed Sheeran in the future. But who knows? (New York City) To be honest I think that Mariah is capable of getting an array of producers to work with her if she wants to but I think that Mariah has been stubborn in the fact that she wants to stick with more of R&B sound and that is why she has not worked with all the top pop producers, I am sure if she made that call any of those producers would answer without any hesitation. As many people have said Mariah does what she wants to do. For me I would like an album that caters to all of Mariah's strengths but also satisfies her hardcore fans and casual listeners because for any artist to be successful they need consumers from all walks of life. According to Andy Cohen's radio interview, Mariah met him recently and she's doing something very "unlikely" which we will learn about in "the next few months". Which would probably be a few years in lambily years. And seeing how things are going, the most "unlikely" thing would be to actually release an album. Wonder what it could be. I pray it's not a non-music endeavour. Maybe some unexpected duets? She definitely is working on something seriously with Roc Nation it seems. Any guesses? (Friday 2 February 2018; 16:33)

Aussie tour (80,760) by Todd from Melbourne, Australia So, in Australia, concerts have been announced this week for Shania Twain, Celine Dion and Mariah (which have been rescheduled). Already there are TV commercials, radio giveaways (on top 40 stations) for Celine and Shania. It's part of the "news" on the morning TV shows. Absolutely nothing for Mariah's concerts. It's like she's singlehandedly off-sided the entire media industry across the globe. Or, maybe she just doesn't believe she needs publicity, and has a "if I build it, they will come" mentality.
