My gosh, is she the grinch that will steal Christmas from Mariah? So sneaky. My epiphany about Mimi's push towards AIWFCIY just made me understand why she wanted to copyright Queen of Christmas. Not only is it an infinity money glitch but it will keep Sony reminded, as long as she is alive, she will provide her pound of flesh, so they better leave her alone.
I have this concept for Mariah, maybe a docu movie and a part of it would be to incorporate how Christmas helped her forgive Walter. I don't know how it'll go but at the end, friends pull some strings and have Walter do a gig, then Mariah secretly comes in from the back and starts humming, all the memories of them writing songs together rush back to him and he can't help but be overjoyed and cry.
It would add so much more meaning to Christmas and it truly would the greatest reconciliation of all time. Wishful thinking though, but I hope this moment happens during their lifetime. Maybe writing it will somehow make it come to existence.

She's got a Christmas concert movie coming up and it will be released theatrically. How did she beat Mariah to it lol. I say Mariah's team is working hard, but not working smart.

Awards are a PR move. Sometimes can be orchestrated. Considering how much honorary lifetime awards Gamma got her this year. A Grammy is not that far-fetched.

It's really something I have never seen the level of love for her in any country like there in the Philippines. If I was a singer with that level of love there I would record a secret album just for them to show how much I appreciate them. HFIA has done well there so I can just imagine how MC17 will do when it's released. Does anyone think Mariah has more music that she's saving for the next album?

How nice that some of you still remember my site, MariahOnline. It was part of the Mariah 3 (later Mariah4). That was a fun time. I haven't written anything here for years, but I check this messageboard almost daily. You can still find the site at this link, if you want to reminisce. Not everything works anymore, though. Have a nice weekend.

I remember when I first got online MariahDaily was still called "WildCat's Too Cool Mariah Carey Page" or something like that. Besides Mariah's official website there was this "official fansite" MariahCarey.org. And there were also Mariah.net, MariahOnline, MariahWorld (Aussie fansite if I was not mistaken), Mariah's Dairy, etc, and of course MCArchives. Gone are the good old days.

It's true. Philippines have such a mind-boggling singing culture. It's truly no surprise they flock when the greatest singer of all time is in town. I've heard a few of their local singers, and they're actually pretty good. I wish MCPhilippines got Mariah to sit down and be serenaded.
They hold parties and events all the time. They got this girl to sing Lead The Way and she really studied the song. I felt she actually did it justice. Mariah would've been proud and be inspired and feel fulfilled, realizing she really did teach the next generations how to sing.
Someone from this board that's in that fan club should present this idea next time she visits. We are sick of the generic Hero WBT tributes. We want the deep cuts like that girl did.

Agreed. Many MC fans I got to know during the pink board CB years moved to another board called The Forum. It was started by a fan. We were so tired of the "yass queen-Mariah can do no wrong - you aren't a real fan if you think so - Mariah is deity religion" people at MC.com. I posted here but not as often because of those same type of fans. Don't take disagreements so personally. Don't claim you think you know someone based on words on a screen. Just have fun. It's not complicated.

Lighty, I've never posted before but specifically wanted to thank you for the wonderful feeling of nostalgia that you've gifted me in your post about the early Mariah web days.
I created MariahWorld.com (formerly FantasyLand) in February 1998 on Geocities, in fact. I sadly lost the site suddenly one day in about 2004 - the web host shut down without notice and I was unable to protect the domain from being pilfered. It was an upsetting time for me, having spent so much time on that site, so it was touching that you remembered.
Still adore Mariah with all my heart, a fan since the beginning. What a wonderful journey we've all shared.
Shout out to Eric for his endless efforts with this site, which has been around since that era. There was no better discography. Truly special. Also to any other original webmasters out there. Anderz, Manda and Derek from MCR/Mariah.net, the whole crew from MariahDaily, Liz from Absolute Mariah, Britt from Visions of a Daydream, Luis from 100% Mariah/MariahOnline (breathtaking UX design), and Benny whose site name I can't recall. Just to name a few. Special people and wonderful memories.
Lots of love to you from Australia.

If I'm not mistaken, they were called Mariah's 3: MCArchives, MariahDaily, and MariahHero. Eric probably remembers that better. [Webmaster: The third one was MariahConnection.]
MariahHero was the first to go, the webmaster got upset because Mariah toured but skipped his country. Back then, that site was a goldmine for MP3s and media.
Years later, MariahDaily shut down too. Their news section was amazing great, but their message board never took off because you couldn't speak freely or say anything remotely critical about Mariah, so it turned into a total snooze fest.
Then we had this site, which had the best discography archive, singles, international releases, everything. Eric eventually stopped updating once Mariah stop releasing physical singles. I don't remember all the details, but I recall Eric used to release a magazine-style collection of Mariah photos until he got hit with a cease and desist, and that was that.
MCArchives outlived them all because this board has always kept it real. Sure, we're a little dysfunctional at times, but there's always been a balance. Plenty of people have tried to turn this place into another "MariahDaily" echo chamber, but thankfully, they never succeeded. If it were for the "yass queens" or the oversensitive ones, we wouldn't be here.
What's kept this board great is that we've always been able to have different opinions. Back when fans first started noticing Mariah's voice changing, and many were deep in denial, there were basically two groups here: the UK Gang and the US Gang. Moderation was minimal, so blood was constantly spilled on the board. Some fans were so blinded by devotion that even when Mariah's boobs finally came out of the closet became they were impossible to hide, they still swore they were so big due to her wearing push-up bras. Eventually most of those fans came to their senses when those push up bras didn't seem to work for their own bosoms.
Those were the days.

There was a Mariah AI version of that song that's now vanished from the face of the earth. It was deleted right after Mariah released her actual version. It was so dang good. Mariah is a superstar and well loved and respected in the Philippines, they absolutely adore her over there. I saw some clips and she looked amazing and sounded good, she was really trying especially with "Emotions" and I give her credit. I would never ever waste time singing that song at my shows because it's that hard. Her show was sold out so I wanna give a big thanks to the Philippines for their love and support to our Mariah Carey.

Your post has me excited but even if it's true what difference would it make? Mariah could release the best song or best album she's ever made however the team she has and a majority her fans gone and not being a streaming artist how is she gonna top the charts? I will still support her regardless and still want her to make music but I feel her number one days are over. Mariah can still make what she wants but she should turn to gospel and sing for God. It would benefit her so much and keep her relevant. Hopefully "Jesus I do" makes it to number one and gets a Grammy nomination. I hope Gamma can make it happen.
