I hardly think you can take from that message that all I'm concerned about is twitter. That's absurd. What's happened is utterly horrific, there's no debating that. It was merely an observation. No harm or ill intent intended, and I'm sorry if it came across that way.

Stacey and Randy, your responses were spot on. Randy, I once stated how frustrating was having Mariah messing one-song random performances when she's had months to prepare, and this person said that it was because Mariah had nodules and polyps, go figure. At that point I realized there was not way of having a reasonable conversation with this type of deluluness. These are the type of lambs that go on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and such and help Stella keep Mariah in her bubble with the craziness that's going on. What's next, Mariah showing one of her boobs in concert and be praised because Madonna did too? I can't.

I'm shocked again. Every month new horror news from France, UK, Germany and other countries. So sorry for all the innocent victims. That's one reason why I do miss the 90ies, it felt definitely more safe compared to nowadays. So sick of this.

Mariah is too talented and precious to give up on her. I will always be thankful how she helped me with her music. A true inspiration, and I won't accept that Crustella with the allowing of MC is ruining this. It's like with a friend, if he or she has troubles you can't let him/her fall down. You're worried and trying to help. It's just sad that our worries aren't heard. Two years of this circus can't erase the wonderful last two decades. As I said there's still some hope that Mariah Carey will be back. But with the "empowerment sh*" I fear it won't happen soon.

The other day, while having a dinner with friends, WBT was played in the background, we sang along to it but one of them said she missed MC since no new songs from her. I asked her, if she ever heard about Infinity, Infamous or I Don't and she said no. My other friend, a Celine's fan said he knew about I Don't because it was my ringtone. Tbh, it is my alarm clock ringing too.

Thought MC might have been on the list of celebrities and musicians throwing out a thought or prayer for the victims. But alas - maybe that would be seen as endorsing Ms Grande?

Martyn's safety (75,572)
by Anonymous from UK

Hey guys. The lovely Martyn (with the Deidre Barlow tattoos) of this board was at last night's Ariana concert in Manchester. There was an explosion and Martyn is still missing as of 8am this morning. He text someone at the time of the explosion to say he was drunk and confused and nothing has been heard since. He is not a personal friend but a good friend of friends and everyone is highly concerned. It's a very long shot, but if anyone does talk to him online/sees him on any forum or any UK fans know what happened to him, please tell him to get in touch with his family or Zack. In the meantime, please pray or give him your thoughts. People are desperately worried. P.S I used to post here until I hit my limit with her MIAM era escapades. I still come every day to read so hey to everyone. Such sad times.

Yes, tabloids and media still talk about Mariah, which makes her relevant as a celebrity, but not as a musical artist. Well I guess you could say she's still relevant, but not in the way that is beneficial to her reputation and image. Her relevance as a musical artist has diminished so much since 2013.

She's not relevant anymore. She hasn't had a hit in years. I remember overhearing colleagues at work talking about her after the NYE disaster. They were all in their 30s and would have grown up with her music during the 90s. The conversation was peppered with comments like "I didn't even realise she was still singing" and "her last album was the We Belong Together one ten years ago" and "she only comes out at Christmas to sing AIWFCIY". The fact is MC has done so much damage to her brand and reputation in recent years that her only choices are to either clean house and have one last all-out attempt to right the ship, or continue on down the path she's on and fade into obscurity and cult fandom. It's pretty clear what decision she's made. I really don't think there is any coming back from where she is now. No one likes the diva behaviour, the catty comments, the brushing off of the horrific performances, the opulent unrelatable lifestyle, the diamonds, the splashes, the in-your-face trashy sexiness, the plastic surgery. People liked the big haired, big voiced girl from Long Island, who was humble and sincere and grateful. That girl who recorded her demos in a woodshop. She's now a caricature of what she was, like Zsa Zsa Gabor or some other faded silver screen starlet. What a waste of a God given talent. Never before witnessed something squandered right before my eyes in such a manner.

I appreciate your fandom Terna. But you cannot seriously think MC is relevant to a contemporary audience? My biggest problem with you has been that you see nothing shaking during an earthquake. I remember after the NYE performance, you said "she has bronchitis; nothing to see here folks". And while that was not the death of her career, it was one more blemish that keeps her from getting the necessary respect from an artist of her caliber. I hang out with a lot of diva fans and they consider MC a studio singer. That stabs me because I remember a time when Mary J Blige, Janet Jackson and Ashanti were all considered studio singers. The fact that MC is given the same moniker kills me but I have no receipts to back up her as a vocalist here late. And the fact that she is dating her backup dancer fresh off a highly publicized breakup fresh off a publicized divorce seems like something she would've never done in 2006 let alone the Daydream era. Add to the fact that she wears her clothes in order to have a nip slip, has rappers in her songs and she's 47 and has allowed her manager and kids to feed off of the carcass of her career and I'm like who is this woman? But Terna dude keep on with the hear no evil, see no evil. It's sweet.

Dude, the whole diaper age thing was a joke. You do realize that, right? Things here ain't that deep. Second, your cracks, digs at me or anyone else only make you look silly. Bashing Daydream to take a dig at me? Wait a minute, aren't you the dedicated fan we all should be like, lol? True MC fans love Daydream. Third, would you like me to pop in MIAM again? I just recently changed to Butterfly from TEOM. Before that I had MIAM playing. My kids love the You Don't Know song as they call it (YDKWTD) and ask for it repeatedly in the car. I oblige them on that request because it's a great song from a great CD. Current enough for you? But you knew all that before you responded, right? See, the difference between you and me is I don't tell you how to think. I don't question your dedication because we disagree on something. That would be foolish of me to judge someone having never met. So let us fans do us and you do you, and leave the judging for The Voice.
