I'm glad that you weren't disappointed. Not all my recommendations turn out this good. My taste level as far as music goes can sometimes be questionable.

Mariah on WWHL - aftershow (74,960)
by Philipp from Switzerland
| |
|
|
I don't think we talked about this interview yet, it's a great interview from the aftershow of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen back in december 2016. This interview is better than the actual interview they aired on TV.

Haha don't forget Mariah's "soon" ranges anywhere between 6 months and 3 years.

Yes, I agree, the video is simple yet beautiful. Definitely beats the "touching myself", "looking at the camera uncomfortably" and "vanity shots" moments.

Nick and Mariah (74,956)
by Terna from Nigeria
| |
|
|
I see them getting back together again, but not making it official like marriage all over again. She's comfortable and herself around Nick Cannon (recall how stiff she always was around James?), like no pretence just Mariah. And I love that someone like Nick is more present in her life even if it's just for the kids. She listens to Nick especially career advice wise, if I'm not mistaken it was Nick who told her to cover Foreigner's "I want to know what love is", and look how big a hit it was in most parts of the world, even if anything just for the nostalgia especially in Brazil. So I'm glad he's back kinda.

Streaming with new album (74,955)
by Tyler from USA
| |
|
|
This will be the first time Mimi will release an album with the new streaming rules with Billboard. With this being said, I think the album will do well on the charts. No matter what people's personal opinions of her are, many will still want to hear the album. They may not buy but will def stream. MIOM didn't reflect streaming efforts and had minimal promotions. I always say Mimi has the most diverse range of fans. At a Mimi concert your'll see gay, straight, grown adults, teens and all races. I honestly don't know of another artist with a more diverse fan base. She just needs a killer album that will create buzz and the grace she had during TEOM.

Lame (74,954)
by Andrew from UK
| |
|
|
What's lame is the people who think that analysing the media output of the star you follow is a bad thing just because you take a dim view of it. It's especially lame considering Mariah had now chosen to use the media to gain herself exposure in the most crass of ways. If she wants it that way she can take the heat when it's shit just as she would take the credit were it not. These high-horse-riding, pedestal-resting, moral-high-ground-assuming social justice warriors spout idiocy designed only to try to spin a positive on a dying argument/position. They do nothing to help Mariah. They just enable her to be even worse. The stupidity of the arguments cannot be dressed up in any kind of superiority.

Ha, gut punch number one: you skip The Wind. Gut punch number 2, you hate To The Floor. TTF is my fave from TEOM by a long, long way. It's so free and breezy and laid back, I can't explain it but it sounds "spacious" to me. In my head I always call the song "Tonight", as I remember that was the title it was given when it leaked shortly after Say Somethin' did. Next you'll be saying you don't like Make It Look Good lol. Nice to see many people appreciating Emotions. I could listen to Till the End of Time all day.

Charm-girl, thanks (74,952)
by Edward from USA
| |

I love "Uptown Funk", but I wasn't ever drawn into Bruno's music. Since you said you liked the album and trusting your good taste, based on your love for Charmbracelet, lol, I purchased Bruno's 24K Magic and I'm pleasantly surprised. First, I was like: Only 9 tracks? Nah. Then I remembered that Music Box has only 10 tracks, and I clicked on "Place your order". After first listen I'm happy I decided to buy it. The album is great, very cohesive and well produced, I actually love it. Thanks.

I don't believe this story and I don't have any sympathy or respect for "Thirstnaka", but I wonder if old dude had any exit plan in place, besides tell all, or some other shady endeavor? Mimi was being silly and shortsighted for the stunt or the fling or whatever to begin with, but this dude risks being the next Casper, or Chris Judd, basically not much.

That LV cake wasn't bad, especially for a new money teenager. The checks were a little off, I can see Duff the cake master didn't make that one. Jokes.

MW season 2? (74,949)
by RibbonB from USA
| |
|
|
Hmmmm and ughhh, I just saw a clip of Mariah talking to Kevin Frazier about the possibility of MW season 2. Mariah said "never say never, but she is not saying yes". Kevin then said the show could be about M and N reconciling basically. She laughed and joked she would only do a season 2 if the show were about Kevin. He then asked her when was new music coming and she said sooner than later. LMAO she is so vague. Please no season 2 of MW and new music sooner please.

Thank you. This is super glamorous, yet beautiful. She looks so good in this. Why not make something simple like this for her next video? I am so tired of all the bells and whistles and complicated fashion. All I want is Mariah in good make up and hair and a simple dress.

Exactly. Everything this woman does, it gets posted on here and picked apart by someone. Not all, but lots. It's pathetic and sick. I hope all the judgemental folks on here have their lives together and I also hope that they make every correct life and career choice based on other people's standards and opinions. Everyday. Smh.

I believe that he could pick any those tracks as singles. It's a solid album. There's not one bad song in my opinion. I was never a huge Bruno fan, but this album pulled me in.

I see what may be a tat in one of these ETonline pics. And according to this article, it looks like Nick is being more present for Mariah for his kids as well as for their rebuilding friendship. Other than Floyd, I didn't see any other stars at the launch party. Stellar likes a pap moment, but she seems to keep their events limited to people in her reality show circle which is a rather limited circle.

Lame (74,940)
by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)

The Mariah that is upon us is the one who is enjoying herself with any apologies and yes some recent actions have me wondering why but who am I to keep passing judgement on another living being who has a right to live her life as she chooses as long as she is not harming herself or those around her in way, shape, or form. Is the LV cake a bit much? Yes but maybe it was requested by the guest of honor. What I find to be lame is me finding a reason to nitpick about everything that this woman does just because I do not like it. I say self everything Mariah is not for your approval. Just thought I share how I checked myself about Mariah doing something I don't like.

Video for "Cry" (74,939)
by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
| |

So during the Elusive Chanteuse tour, while Mariah sang "Cry", the monitors on the back played a beautiful video of her dancing with Anthony Burrell, the visuals were stunning, so this fan made this video dubbing the live version video with the CD version of the song. The visuals playing in the monitor are stunning. And while Mariah dances, she looks beautiful and graceful and not stiff. If you check out the video of Mariah performing "You're Mine" at the BET awards, you can see a longer version of these visuals with Anthony along with visuals of her wearing a black dress on the screen behind her. So gorgeous and so ethereal.

Calling All My Lovelies, while ridiculously shallow and tactless, even, is gorgeous. My fave off the album. That Halle Berry cameo just sends it over the top. I would love it to be released as a single, although it would be a risk as I feel the production is way too smart for radio (though I'd like them to try regardless). Honestly though, I'd much sooner see them release Finesse, which sounds like something Bobby Brown would have done in his prime, and would fit much easier in the current sonic landscape we have.
