Re: Full song (71,983) (71,991) by May from Denmark
After listening to the full song I kinda like it. I don't hate it but I don't love it. It's the type of song that it would work nicely as a filler in an album, not as a single. It's obvious her voice is gone again, it doesn't sound awful but it sounds dried and limited, the ending is sort of repetitive after YG's part and it might likely be because Mariah, who is used to big climax stuff, has no more oil in the machine. The song overall is pretty, good like Infamous and the rapper sounds much nicer than Yussi and his autotune. It is definitely a step up from Lousinity. When is Mariah going to sing verses that aren't rushed and hard to understand? Sometimes it feels she is chewing hay. I won't be buying it but I will support her artistry with some spins or views, I think she tried but not hard enough. To add as conclusion, the song is a mix of weird tempos and dated RnB, I think YG sounded good but is more of the same, she could have done with less layering of her voice as for some reason it sounds so amateurish, like I could have done all that layer in a cheap software with little to no experience. At least there's no massive autotune.

She "don't" and I "don't" either (71,990) by Edward from USA
In my opinion, it's definitely better than Infamous, but I'm not impressed at all. If they promote it right, it might actually chart on the R&B charts. At least it is a song she could actually perform live without having to lipsynch.

It's ok, better than Infinity, Infamous and Triumphant. It's ok.

Hmm I have to listen to it a few more times. Some parts are nice, but it sounds more like a song on a remix cd or a bonus track. And nothing against YG but I'm so tired of the rappers. I prefer the man who is singing in the background/sample. Definitely "I don't" like the pics/shots for the song. Is it so hard to dress like the superstar she is and not like a youngster wannabe?

YG is the worst part of the song IMO.

Five? Yikes. Ears, I'm going to have mercy on you and accept that, after two listens, we've heard more than enough of this song for a lifetime lol.

I don't live JD's rhythms. He is not evolving. Song is not a masterpiece. But it isn't awful neither. It sounds like an Usher record.

Better than Infamous but don't love it (71,984) by Anonymous from
Pleasantly surprised, can't see myself playing it on repeat but I do already want to hear it again. I think the production is slightly strange, it's clearly an old skool R'n'B attempt, more of a b-side single in my opinion but way better than Infamous. Thanks for sharing Mimi, you never fail us with your exclusives.

Re: Full song (71,980) (71,983) by Licia from USA
It wouldn't make sense to do a remix with another rapper. She could take it back like in the old days and resing and have him write his own verses. That would be epic. Hey Stella write this down. Lol I agree the song kind of fits the divorce situation more than the broken engagement.

Re: Full song listen (71,977) (71,982) by Licia from USA
Loving Donell's song might be why I've taken a liking to the chorus. The verses just don't do anything for me. It's a step up from Crapfinity, but it's at the level of Infamous. It's not bad, but it's not great either. May grow on me once I listen a few more times. I had to listen to Crapfinity 5 times before I gave up and hated it. Lol.

I Don't (71,981) by Billy from England, UK
Well just listened to the full song and it's not my style. I find it very boring, don't like the sound of her voice or the music, it sounds rushed and no effort put in. Disapointed again, goes and listens to For The Record.

That is a good idea with Donnell Jones in a he said, she said. It definitely doesn't apply to that broken engagement, more like broken marriage, but that is just me I guess. The timing of her reality show and record releases can't keep pace with her life changes.

Re: Full song (71,971) (71,979) by Luke from United Kingdom
Thanks for posting that. I actually really like the song as a whole and I like that she didn't really do her usual over the top climax. Compared to Infamous I like YG than I do Jussie. I'm not too sure on this video she has planned though lol I hope there's some sort of storyline to go along with it, one which doesn't involve Brienne Tanaka of House Thirsty.

Mimi didn't invest a lot in this video. Just lingerie, and various other props in her rented home.

Full song listen (71,977) by Lila from United States
Now that I've heard the full song I can officially say that I hate it. It sounds horrible to me. Her voice doesn't sound good and the song feels like all the elements of it are clashing. The only good part is her singing Donnell Jones "when you love someone, you don't treat them bad" but it's like a karaoke moment for me because whether M sings it, I sing it, or anyone else, I'm immediately taken in because I'm really just thrown back to Donnell Jones singing the part. The video teasers look awful also. It's a no for me.

Yikes "Triumphamousinity" is better than this song. Have you figured out what either of them is saying? The video clips don't seem to have any bearing on the lyrics that I can hear. Wow.

Re: Full song (71,971) (71,975) by Licia from USA
I need to listen again. I definitely don't like the verses. I love the chorus. As a fan of most of her hip hop collaborations I could have done without YG. Mariah go ahead and replace YG with Donell for a remix. Make it into a him versus her remix. I can't see a remix being any other way.

Re: Ribbon (71,960) (71,974) by RibbonB from USA
May, Mimi needs some down time, some time for inner work. Clean house, close circus, enjoy the fruits of her labor and raise her beautiful Roc and Roe. This constant media mess is not a good thing. I hope she doesn't have to crash to get what she seems to need. IMO of course.

Re: Do we complain or get her to nbr 1? (71,966) (71,972) by Licia from USA
I'm not going to help get a song to number 1 if I don't like it. If I like the song then I'll buy it. If not, I won't. I won't help reward her if the song is garbage.

Full song (71,971) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
The full song is out. For me, the rap doesn't do anything. I don't love the song yet but I just listened to it once so ya. Anyways, if WBT is what they wanted to recreate, they'll have to try again, it doesn't even come close. I hate to say it but I think I like "Infamous" more than I liked this on first listen.

Re: Do we complain or get her to nbr 1? (71,966) (71,970) by Edward from USA
Without the GP out there, it's never going to happened. It's evident her fanbase has shrunk so much we can't even make a dent on the charts. She still has many fans, but not concentrated in a certain area to make a huge impact. If people don't like her music, it's a big wrap. Those days when fans would call radio stations in the United States from different parts of world are long gone. We can buy each one 10 copies, and it wouldn't make a difference. The GP hear good music, and they buy it. It's as simple as that, they don't have to necessarily be fans of a particular artist, it's all about the music. Even though in her case it's clear that it's not only the music she'll have to sell, but also a much more likable persona, something she doesn't seem willing to do. I'll support her by getting a copy of the single from Amazon and watching the video several times if it's worthy of that. If it isn't, I won't torture myself.

Re: Do we complain or get her to nbr 1? (71,967) (71,969) by THE TRUTH from USA
Exactly. If Mariah knows her lambs are sheep that will support anything she puts out regardless of the quality then she will keep releasing junk. Lets hold her to a higher standard than the one Stella holds her to.

Re: Do we complain or get her to nbr 1? (71,967) (71,968) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Ugh I don't get why Mariah insists on always releasing singles with the same collaborators. Why can't she just go ahead and surprise everyone with a new collaborator, and this is coming from someone who loves the MC-JD pairing but honestly I'd rather they collaborate on album cuts and leave the single to fresh new collaborators. She's so adamant about wanting to work with JD that she even didn't use the "Empire" team for her song there, I don't think they ever had any other guest who didn't collaborate with their team.

Re: Do we complain or get her to nbr 1? (71,966) (71,967) by Webmaster Eric from the Netherlands
Do you want another number 1 with a song you don't like? Because if you support songs you don't like and you unite with others and get that number 1, Mariah will record more songs like this. So my suggestion is, if you like "I Don't", buy the song, stream it on Spotify and watch it on YouTube. If you don't like "I Don't", don't buy the song, don't stream it on Spotify and don't watch it on YouTube. I know I don't.
