Does she still care?

Re: MW new trailer (68,417) (68,419) by RibbonB from USA
Girl, stop trying to drag me into this fray, I'm trying to stay above it. It is so declasse' Hahaha. You know I called stunt from day one, practically. It is a reality show mess, very scripted for dramatic effect. I am holding back on this spoiler alert that I have imagined, but they seem to have telegraphed the thing with leads, leaks, clues and down right hitting people over the head now. Lol I just think about those little cute babies and hope it all somehow ends well. I am still hoping for Mariah to back hand slap Stella until the blush smears. On the show of course. Lol I think there will be some dramatic conclusion, perhaps Stellar's firation? I will trust you to keep me informed because I don't watch train wrecks. Please tell me when the babies appear so I can try to catch a repeat or video of it.

Action speak louder than words (68,418) by Butterfly from
Some of us talk about other people and what they do and la la la. But I'm not that person (on the Kardashians). "I refuse to call it a reality show. I thought it would be a good opportunity to kind of, like, show my personality and who I am, even though I feel like my real fans have an idea of who I am. A lot of people have misperceptions about this and that," Carey explained. The lies and disturbing personage. You're no better than a Kardashian.

Now there is no doubt (not that I had any before) that the whole Tanaka being spotted out with Mariah every night recently and being photographed was a promotional push for the show. I don't get the need for a subplot in a so called "docu-series about the tour". I was cringing away at the whole "Tanaka taking Mariah's measurement dance move" and then the "Mariah sitting no Tanaka's lap with a flirtatious grin", then "Mariah with a shirtless Tanaka on the couch". Why on earth does an engaged woman (who said "she couldn't be happier") feel the need to do these with someone who they have explicitly mentioned has a crush on her? And all these while she was supposedly getting ready for her wedding? RibbonB, where you at?

Haha yeah Mimi L. I was surprised that they would even mention Bryan Tanaka's crush, I wonder if they'll go beyond with the truth and actually shed light on the whole thing. I'm still not sure how I feel about this show, all I cared for was some new music, so I gotta just live with it for now. I really still think the majority of the show will be scripted, just like every other "reality" show.

Such a shame someone with a legacy like Mariah has succumbed to antics like this whether real or not. It's really sad and tragic. Her stats and talent are so above this fray she has wanted to be a part of. Goes to show you the lengths some people will go to, to stay relevant whether it's positive or negative press. Yikes.

Woah pot brownies, "Tanaka obviously has a crush on Mariah, what are we going to do about it?", on-camera firing employees for dramatic effect (this leaked a long time back but I thought it was a joke). And I'm laughing at that whole weird dance between Tanaka and Mariah, what on earth is that? I can't.

Re: Pictures from Disneyland taping (68,400) (68,410) by ADAM from USA
Does anyone else think that she had the flirtation with Bryan Tanaka throughout the whole Packer relationship? She just has no respect for herself because she can't appear to be by herself for any period of time. It's interesting she seems to think that the comfort of a man is the problem she's trying to fill the void when it's clear she's the problem she's not working on. Bryan is on the payroll and this initial fascination he has with her will eventually fissle out like the way Nick Cannon did. I just think the way she paraded around Snapchat with Bryan and DJ Suss One a few months back while being drunk and still engaged was so disrespectful to James. I hope she gets its together because she's aging whether she likes it or not and this antics have a limited shelf life.

Vanessa Williams (68,406) by enwar00 from usa
Love her. She being added to the Divas Holiday lineup made me happy. Her Christmas album is one of very few that I own, and I love her version of What Child Is This. Since this has been brought up infinite times on this board, in my opinion she is someone that always exudes class.

Spotify will kill Mariah's record eventually (68,402) by Martyn from England, UK
Unfortunately, Spotify has ruined the charts. I agree that streaming should be included in chart positioning because it's how many people consume music nowadays, but what worries me slightly is Spotify's playlists. Their "what's hot/top 50/popular" playlists are the go-to for many people who want to listen to music, so essentially Spotify have a huge amount of control over what's in the charts. In the UK, Drake's One Dance was number one for about 15 weeks. I read an article about how the majority of that reign was down to plays on Spotify's playlist, and had people not been doing this it would've been dethroned after several weeks. Spotify has slowed down movement in the charts a lot, with many songs remaining in the top 40 (or Billboard Hot 100) for a lot longer than they used to and with very little movement. It's unfortunate, because when Mariah's record eventually does get beaten, it will feel like less of an achievement to me. Hitting shuffle on a playlist of songs isn't the same as purposely going and seeking out a song because you like it.

She looked really pretty and the kids are adorable as always. Although Roc has a look on his face like he's up to no good. Lol I hope she performed well. I'm a harsh critic at times, but I always root for to be at her best. I'm going to ignore that last picture. Not going to say a word. Lol.

Mariah looked really good during the taping. Here is she with Roc. Here is a full length shot. On stage with the dancers. With Monroe and Roc. Next we have a nice firework moment. Last but not the least, we have a "Manaka" moment.

Yeah the 16 weeks with OSD are really impressive. But I remember in 96 we had a Mariah-mania around the world. I will never forget, I loved that Mariah was played all day and night.

Re: Merry Christmas 2 You (68,393) (68,398) by this_is_qhm from the Philippines
Yeah, especially the AIWFCIY redux. That was borderline offensive. This to me was officially the point where Mariah, who invented the art of creating successful remixes, had not only lost her touch - she completely forgot what "remix" meant. And I had no idea that adding a few more bells and little flourishes here and there apparently is all it takes to make something more "festive". It's like re-receiving the gift you got last year only after tearing through a different wrapper.

MILG (68,397) by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)
"Make it look good" was produced by Jermaine Dupri. Mike Will Made It was only responsible for producing Faded on MIAM and I have to agree both of these songs are underrated gems.

Far from being a mistake. Oh Santa, When Christmas Comes, Christmas Time Is In The Air Again, and O Come All Ye Faithful with her mom are the best, thankful that she did that album. In fact when I'm still a casual listener of her, I really thought Oh Santa is one of her 90's Christmas songs alongside with AIWFCIY, for me it's such a brilliant holiday song, so festive.
