Re: Stella take note (65,566) (65,580) by darrian liu from taiwan
Mariah's vocal state is really good in this era, she even belted live F5s. Live F5s (all caps). We just need her to lighten up her voice so that it would be easier for her to access the upper belts and voila, third vocal prime.

Beyonce rumor (65,579) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
The Bey rumor is getting serious. A lot of sites are picking it up. I usually think it's better for Mariah not to respond to these, but I think in this case it'd be better to give a subtle "clap back" by maybe putting up a video of her singing along to Beyonce or playing her music in the background (like she had in an old video, where she was in the car and Beyonce's "Party" was playing in the background). This new rumor is getting so much importance that even people I know who don't even read the tabloids much and let alone bother to know about Mariah, are aware of this. But of course Stella won't take any measure to fix this, because previously when the rumors were buried before it spread the fire, the Chambers Group was the one representing Mariah and burying those rumors while flooding the news with more positive stuff. Ever since they left, we have a plethora of negative articles and no one from her camp can do crap. So now you should know that before you give credit to Stella for "reviving" Mariah's career, this woman will basically have immature and unprofessional clap backs as a response to things and she will only respond to it when people are doubting her intentions or attacking her daughter. Only Mariah can go from one messy group to another.

So Gone / Missy (65,578) by RibbonB from USA
Wow, wish Mariah would sing to a banging beat like So Gone. Would be kind of cool if she did an impromptu verse with Monica and Missy and Queen Larifiah or Lil Kim, for the nostalgia. The timing couldnt be better and the song and challenge are getting a lot of attention. So Gone is so good.

Re: Blind item about Mariah (65,573) (65,575) by Mike from FL, USA
P.S., the picture used in the story is of a woman diving into a pool. I'm sure we all notice the symbolism with the Honey video. This is standard operating procedure over at Blind Gossip. The picture is typically one of the biggest clues. I imagine once people start posting and making guesses, we will find that most people will guess MC. Again, I sooooo hope I am wrong, but I have a bad feeling. And by golly, one more thing, lol. If you click the link leading to the "related story" in the blind item that I believe is about MC, it takes you to a picture of Mariah and a previous blind item where she is mentioned. Not looking good at all.

Re: Article: "American Idol" contestants react to Mariah Carey (65,567) (65,574) by Tevin from USA
Wow, no wonder Mariah said she hated the show. Week after week she tried being nice to Lazoro even though his singing was off key a lot and he spent more time forgetting the lyrics then singing them, while Mariah was taking flak from everyone about being to nice of a judge and giving no critques. Then the one and first time she gives tells him she didnt like his performance he goes backstage a brings up one if not the most diffcult and painful time in Mariah's life in 2001. Low class dude, low class. That attitude will get you know where. By the way when is Lazoro's first album coming out? [sarcasm] I'm sure Mariah will be the first one to buy it while she sits reminicing on her days back in 2001 while sitting on her millions, oops I mean in a couple months billions.

Blind item about Mariah (65,573) by Mike from FL, USA
Does anyone here read Blind Gossip? They have a blind item today, and unfortunate I believe it is about Mariah. They give various clues throughout the article and all signs point to her. I've posted a link to the story. It basically says record execs are fed up with her shenanigans and that she may not have a record label very much longer. This also may fit with LA Rieds tweet. Hoping I'm wrong.

Gossip Cop, give us a break. You've been on Mariah's payroll since when? Like anybody takes you debunking any/all stories which shade Mariah seriously? Come on.

RJJ12 (65,566) (65,571) by Will from England
I recently watched some of the performances from Rainbow/#1s eras and I think she's considerably better than those performances. To me, her voice was stuck, not being able to reach the high belts, not being able to hold the note(s) the way she'd previously done (with the exception of some of the high notes). Compare this performance of VOL from the Rainbow tour to her performance at Vegas. Mass improvement in every way. Just my thoughts.

Beyoncé / new music video (65,570) by MusicfanJ from Germany
I watched Music Deluxe on TV and I saw the clip Sorry from Beyoncé. Must be very new. The clip almost looked like a Rihanna one and the song is so weak. For me Beyoncé is overhyped. Destiny's Child were fresh and a power "girl-group". But today Miss Beyoncé is totally mainstream. Her voice is ok, but not so special. Adele is way better. Mariah should do a duet with somebody special or even unknown. Something surprisingly would be nice and not again a rapper. Nothing against them, but we had it so many times. Retro-soul would be a dream. Leon Bridges has a beautiful voice.

Giovanni, I love you, but we must have not been watching the same show. His talent is marginal as with most of those kids performing on these talent competitions. These are folks you can find walking in a mall. Maybe his looks can get him a modeling contract but I wouldn't hold my breath for a record contract. Did you see what he said about Mariah in the exit interview video I posted, you might change your mind.

Re: New Vegas leg wish list and B-sides show (65,517) (65,568) by 123 from USA
Hi Sheila, yes it's been 80% live since forever. She lips the same parts. I'm ok with the first chorus being lipped as she needs time to catch her breath and come in big on the second verse like she has been doing lately, but the lipped belting parts need to go. I don't mind them anymore but her live voice outshines her lipped parts on the song which I didn't think I would ever see the day that would happen again. If you watch her live 99 version of My All from her Chicago concert from her Rainbow tour, she doesn't go for the F5 belts either, but just improvises and instead uses the rest of what she has access to still give a great performance. It's actually my favorite My All performance of the 90s. I agree with the B side concert needing to happen like since forever, but up until this year, I don't think she was capable of delivering those songs effectively. I do need Can't Let Go in full again, it's my favorite ballad of hers. Even though it's partially lipped, I love LTT in Vegas. I never thought she would do that song again.

Re: Article: "American Idol" contestants react to Mariah Carey (65,545) (65,567) by 123 from USA
Lazaro is a shady, mean spirited individual. I'm sure he got picked on as a kid, but your disability doesn't excuse you from just being a decent individual. Not everyone in the world is out to pick on him. You can't be on a televised singing contest, not prepare at all (he said he never prepared his songs), do badly and not have it pointed out. Mariah was trying her best to be nice to him and tell him he kept singing in the same key when there was a key change in the bridge of the song. He was just riding the wave and didn't take winning seriously and had excuses after excuses. He waited until they got backstage to shade Mariah by telling her she had her bad songs as well, remember Glitter? Really? Loverboy went #2 and the Glitter album is multiplatinum. It's funny because when Mariah talked about his being courageous for being on the show, he said he preferred to be critiqued about his performance, yet when she did just that, he sunk his shady claws in her backstage. So she can't win with him. Which is it Lazaro, you want constructive criticism or you want people to only tell you nice things? She walked on egg shells when she critiqued him yet he still was disrespectful to her. Yet she's the one called a diva. Where is your music since you're so great? I missed your song on the charts. Mariah's flops would be dream numbers for him. Here is his exit interview (my receipts) of him shading Mariah throughout the whole thing.

Re: Stella take note (65,540) (65,566) by 123 from USA
I agree Marissa. I was confused as well. She hasn't sounded this good this consistently since the 90's and even then she didn't do as many shows/tours as she has this year. Before I was always holding my breath as to what vocal state she was going to be in and how bad she was going to sound. Her tone is very Rainbow era now (sweet and honey like) and her vocals are very smooth and fluid. She has even started belting again. She is just missing her upper belts and whistle register but I'm good with her continuing to tour as she seems to really take her vocals seriously and seems to want regain what she has lost previously. Can't wait to hear how she sounds for this latest Vegas run and especially her SA leg of her tour as she had a lot of great vocal moments on her European leg.

Re: LA Reid's tweet (65,541) (65,565) by 123 from USA
The world doesn't revolve around Mariah. That tweet sounds like he is referring to someone who has been begging him to sign them and he keeps telling them no. They have no reason to drop her anyway as she has already gave them another compilation album (1#s to Infinity) that she promoted more than her last two albums combined. Plus, she is releasing new music very soon so that doesn't sound likely.

Re: LA Reid's tweet (65,556) (65,564) by RibbonB from USA
Remember when Tamar was allegedly debunking her breakup rumors by using Mariah's break up song Always Be My Baby? Lol. Well now allegedly Tamar and Vince had a physical altercation. Ha, I was just hoping we wouldn't see that on the Carey Cannon front and here it comes with M's Calabasas neighbors. Maybe LA did drop her. Even her husband's own TV show dropped her. Harsh year for her. I have only heard her sing on tv performances I don't get the appeal, but people say her music is good. I'm sure we will hear more on one of her reality shows.

Article: Mariah Carey "threw a laptop out the window" (65,562) by Malcolm from Asia
This is ridiculous, who the hell are making this stupid rumors. I can't with the hate that Mariah is getting through the years, yes some things were her fault but this? It's like some of the media are just riding along with that hate by putting bizarre stories and not really aware of Mariah, not even researching. Just because Mariah have this diva/shady reputation, it's so easy for them to write whatever they want because people will believe it. And they really did this in time with the whole Nick's sex stories. Come on, give her a break.

Precious (65,561) by RibbonB from USA
Oxygen aired "Precious" last night. The movie is good, but so sad and disgusting at the same time. That is one reason I really miss MDJ because they used to keep us informed when Mariah movies etc would air on the TV. I am so interested to know what Mariah's character will be like on Empire. Her part in Precious was brief but good.

I would love a Mariah and Madonna collaboration. If it's not true they shouldn't use Mariah's name as the interviewed.

I can't dea with that rumor. It's just so extra haha. If we even assume it's true, can you picture James playing "Crazy in love" while having sex, and then Mariah throwing the laptop out while screaming and waking out the door? It's just too much hahha. I don't think it's true though. The only source that could give such a story is the Bulochnikovs because they live with her and how would anyone else know what happens inside the house. That being said, it's definitely not true, Stella wouldn't risk her position until she has her Kardashian fame.

Re: LA Reid's tweet (65,548) (65,556) by Licia from USA
I read on Twitter that they are claiming La Reid was referring to Tamar Braxton. If it is about Tay I'm confused because she is in fact signed to Epic. Unless they dropped her because her last album wasn't a big hit (which is a shame because the album was phenomenal in my opinion). If he's talking about Mariah, that surely would tarnish their personal and business relationship.

Re: Duet (65,543) (65,555) by MusicfanJ from Germany
Haha Mimi L. did you read about the thing with the laptop here on the news? Sounds like a rumor, but if it's true we will never get a duet with Beyoncé. I wish Mariah would do a single with Alicia Keys.
