The cringe of it all (101,950) by Robert-Anthony from United States
(Saturday 24 December 2022; 14:52)
When you have the world's attention and you are shining, there is always someone who is going to try to take your shine away. Walter A. is bitter because no one is calling him to collaborate with. His sound is outdated and quite frankly boring in today's pop music world. MC made him famous and now he is always speaking negatively about MC around this time every year. Ryan Tedder took his place in the music industry. Hopefully, we will get a Ryan Tedder/MC collaboration soon. Why you mad Walter A.?

Walter A. sold his rights (101,949) by Rashidi Rahim Rick from Malaysia
(Saturday 24 December 2022; 14:08)
For those who don't know, Walter sold his rights to a company named Hipgnosis a couple of years back. Meaning that he was paid loads of money, one off, and that's it. All other annual earnings or royalties would go to the company and Mariah. From what I've read, other singers like Justin Timberlake, David Bowie, Bruce Springsteen also sold all their catalogues. I hope Mariah would hold dear all her catalogues and soon pass it down to her children.

This song came on while running errands. So pretty. I have heard a fair share of AIWFCIY on the radio stations playing Christmas music. But it's been nice to hear other MC Christmas songs that are so so good (Baby Please Come Home, Santa Claus Is Comin To Town). I wish MYM would get more play. It's such a beautiful song.

Walter A seems to be in desperate need of a spotlight on his career. Why does the man insist on being a massive tool when it comes to AIWFC? He's credited and receives half the royalties every year. Get your degree and go write another hit if you're so pressed. Geez. Laugh your way to the bank and give it a rest already. It's giving bitter, girl.

And who's this Chan lady still going on about the QOC shizz? Wasn't the case thrown out or something? People will remember Mariah losing the fight for the TM before they'll ever remember her. And that's no shade to her career - she obviously has one. Maybe someday someone will know her outside of being referenced to Mariah. We love everybody.

Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas to all who celebrate it. May you have the good fortune to spend it with your loved ones.

Article: Mariah Carey scores milestone 10th week at No. 1 (101,946) by Robert-Anthony from United States
(Friday 23 December 2022; 22:16)
I really feel that all of the negative conversation on the web and TV about MC's petition for the queen of Christmas helped to propel AIWFCIY to #1 earlier on the charts this year.

(Friday 23 December 2022; 16:11)
Since Billboard calculates the last week of the year as two, should she remain at #1 next week, that's an extra week at #1. AIWFCIY would be sitting nicely with a whopping 12 weeks total till next Christmas season. If things continue this way, 2025 will be the year in which Lil Nas X will have to pass the torch back to the queen.

I wholeheartedly agree. I simply adore this song and was so grateful to finally finally see her perform this live. Thank you Mariah. It reminds me so much of my parents after such a hard year as well with this being my 4th Christmas without my mom and my first without my father. Something about the lyrics of this song always reminded me of Nat King Cole's Autumn Leaves. My dad always loved him. Gosh Mariah - there really is nobody that is like you. Merry Christmas to the entire MCA family and to Eric for keeping this wonderful place going another year for all of us to come. Here is to great things ahead and maybe finally a jazz album in 2023.

AIWFCIY is everywhere right now. And I still love it. But "Miss you most at Christmas time" is just as wonderful. Just the opposite moodwise. I love this song so much and it belongs to Christmas too. Pure Mariah, pure magic. "Every other season comes a long and I'm all right, but then I miss you most at Christmas time" so true. The video is pretty too. Just beautiful Mariah, nothing more.

This is a big deal and we can already predict that over time this song is going to be the longest running Billboard Hot 100 #1 song of all time, a gift that will keep giving until the end of time, literally. Sorry Lil Nas X. Lol. How is this woman so blessed?

The Star live (101,936) by enwar00 from usa
(Thursday 22 December 2022; 06:34)
So my dahling friend and fellow lamb Chris sent me this beautiful live performance of The Star from 2018. She sounds amazing to me, almost unbelievable how different she sounded just 4 years ago. Although that makes me think of some recent messages on here that stated never count her out, her voice can always come back. Also very touching and sweet interaction between her and Monroe.

Yes. I love how you ended that post with "Queen Of Music". I went to the show on the 16Th and boy did she come to prove to the "talkers" that she still has it. She sounded amazing. We were in the 5th row and it was like you could almost hear her sing loud over the audience into the mic. She really shined on Hero that night. Her into was to all who have supported her, stuck up for her, was there for her, a fan and what she likes to call fam and it was just beautiful. I sat next to a fan who flew in from Boston but originally from Brazil and he told me how she saved his life with Can't Take That Away. Next to him was a dad who was there with his young daughter wearing a sweat jacket covered in shiny butterflies. This dad was there because his young maybe 7 year old daughter was the fan. Amazing. She continues to transcend. She is something special and we do indeed as her fans, need to be very grateful with all that has happened to so many of the greats, be grateful she is up there and still going strong, and looking good while doing it. What a season it has been. Merry Christmas Mariah, Roc, Roe and Bryan. Hope you are enjoying Aspen. Shawn was there with his family too a few rows back. It was a beautiful moment and anyone who was fortunate enough to have gone, to have that memory of being a part of this special regardless of what show you attended. It's still a "moment". Merry Christmas To All and very happy to hear it was the highest rated program on tv that night.

Congratulations to the most successful female singer songwriter producer of all time. And to her amazing crew that put on a fabulous show. Jospeh Khan "the #1 primetime show last night with a strong retention rate, meaning you watched the whole thing". And in regards to her criminally underrated producer skills he said "Yes. Mariah personally stayed up three days straight to supervise the mix - something that normally takes weeks. And she did an incredible job." Unfortunately she won't get the recognition she deserves until she leaves this earth. Her resume and her legendary stats will speak for itself when all of us are gone. Merry Christmas to the queen Of music.

I caught the last fifteen minutes of Mariah's CBS special. It looked festive. She sounded as good as possible I guess. Congratulations Mimi. I missed Billy Porter. He can really belt out a song. Roc and Roe are getting so tall. Happy Holidays.

AIWFCIY dethroning OTR (101,931) by "MariahHater" from Hell
(Wednesday 21 December 2022; 04:13)
Likewise. I haven't heard the whole song as I continue to despise it to this day of breaking the OSD record. I remember I was in jitters at 2am waiting for Taylor Swift to be Number 1 to save OSD but yeah it happened. It was a sad day for lambs. The only thing that makes me grounded is the fact that Mariah's record may be broken that year but, her legacy continued to be strengthened as AIWFCIY jingles its way to Number 1 for 4 years and counting (insert cool with shades emoji).

As with the Billboard rules, I hope they really don't change their treatment with the Holiday songs. Why? Not everybody has a occasion staple song and less than 20 holiday songs ever did that in the entire world.

A lot of artists releases holiday songs which aims to be a classic but come on, nobody ever did create a bigger Christmas song than Mariah. Ever. So if ever there is a Billboard connoisseur here, please fight for the chart rules, not for Mariah but those artists whose legacies will live on even if we perish from the land.

CBS, Joseph Kahn, Charlene Manca, and Nicola Doring worked their magic with the production of the shows. I am really pleased how her vocals turned out. Lots of editing for the CBS special, but it is okay. MC might be nominated for a primetime Emmy next year.

It really is amazing and we should consider ourselves blessed to still have her be alive, looking beautiful as ever, being celebrated, giving us shows and so much more after many years in the spotlight. Less than 10 minutes until it starts (at the time of posting). Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone.
