Sugar Sweet being scrapped (110,700) by Chicago Lamb from USA
I saw something on social media saying Maria's label was scrapping Sugar Sweet as Type Dangerous rises on the charts. The plan is to release another single in its place. Has anyone seen anything with regards to this idea? It reminds me of when Gaga's team pulled "Eh, Eh, nothing I can say" and quickly released Love Game. Hoping for the same magic

Here For It All (110,699) by Shezz from Pk
Bobby A, in a way I'm glad those two are the radio/TikTok friendly songs which means the rest of the album is less "trendy" and trying to capture the younger audience and is more mature. Over the last few albums, her deep/album cuts have always been superior to the singles. I loved "Giving me life", "8th grade", "Caution" and "One mo gen" from Caution. I'm looking forward to the 70s inspired Anderson .Paak song, Paul McCartney cover, Clark Sisters song and HFIA. I'm sure there'll be a lot of good songs. At this point I hope lambs stop stressing about chart success for her singles. Even if she were to release "Heartbreaker" today, she'd barely chart. I'm just happy she's finally putting something out that she enjoyed making and is proud of (despite what her demeanor says). Nostradamous says one song is very reminiscent of "Through the rain" - though I really doubt they've listened to any songs yet themselves. I hope the VMAs performance is well produced and executed. Apparently right after, she'll head to Brazil early to shoot a video and a press tour. May God give her the energy to pull off all the promotion well everywhere. She'll have lots to do in the US when she's back. Personally, I don't think she's disinterested in the project at all, it's just her physical and psychological state that she can't control.

Yes, it's really the worst video. I watched it maybe 8 times, because I couldn't believe what I saw. It's the only Mariah video I won't watch again. Plus I try to forget that "horrible" time with Crustella. If Mariah chooses not to "acknowledge time", I choose to forget what happened during "I don't".

Mariah's best videos (110,697) by jaker20 from US
I love Up Out My Face video, it's cute and it has a good concept. I wish Mariah had done more conceptual videos in her career. I would say it's one of Mariah's last videos that I like. After that, a lot of her videos are so random with very little to no concept. Her videos in the 2010s have not been really good and badly produced and low budget, up until A No No, which I really like.

That is one of the worst Mariah videos ever. That and Auld Lang Syne. I can't believe she's in it, when I first saw it. She looked great, but it's like low budget and shot on an iPhone. At least Auld Lang Syne is camp.

What's wrong with MC (110,695) by Bobby A from United States
Stevie Nicks released Street Angel during a lowpoint in her life and career. Street Angel sold 500,000 copies and was certified gold. Maybe Here For It All will be MC's Street Angel.

She said she was copying Shakira who had done a dance with knives the night before on some award show or something. I agree she does need someone to help her but after the abusive conservatorship I doubt she trusts anyone. People have really not done right by Britney. I don't think Mariah is like Britney, though. Mariah just looks super fatigued.

I am going to pray for both of them to be protected from evil vultures who are out to dim their light and steal their wealth. Anyone else who prays should do the same.

I don't agree. Let's not go from one extreme to another. I'm here for whatever she's willing/able to give. I wish she would do the most but at this stage in her career she doesn't really have to anymore.

Here For It All (110,692) by Bobby A from United States
Journalist Stevie Musicfeelings posted on X that he has listened to HIFA. He said the the album is "quite different from Caution, a bit more soulful and even gospel-like towards the end. Stevie said, "Above all, the two singles are pretty well chosen in my opinion. They're the most radio friendly." The last part of his comment has caused some Lambs to have some concern for any HIFA future singles' performance on the charts. He said that he will give more individual song feedback once MC releases the tracklist. Do you think he's saying that the two chosen were singles for a reason or that the two are the only two radio friendly songs on the album?

Double the votes double the fun (110,691) by T from USA
I just realized that every day from the 1pm-2pm hour EST you can cast 20 votes for the VMA's. That means you can double Mariah's chances of winning two Moon Men if you do it during that hour. I think she'd love to receive the award for best R&B video for Type Dangerous.

Did you see the video Britney posted on social media? She was dancing wildly with two huge knives, and the police ended up at her door. While I don't think she should lose all control over her life and finances, it's clear that some kind of support system should be in place to protect her from herself. Sadly, Mariah seems to be in a similar situation, she doesn't appear to have many people around her who truly care for her, even if the "hen" stops laying golden eggs.

I had a mini marathon the last few days watching all of MC's music videos. I don't like the video for I Don't but what I really liked about it is her makeup. It's the best it's ever looked IMO. I like her outfits in the video for Say Somethin' the most. I really hope we get a lot of really good music videos this era. *fingers crossed*

If she was going to have this sluggish facade and lack of enthusiasm about her new material she should have stayed home. As much as I anticipated new music I feel like if she's not going to be sincere and excited to be here then what's the point? Maybe I should file this under another cash grab to fund her diamonds and yachts this Christina's season. It's becoming her calling card

Wing beneath my wings (110,687) by Dove from United States
I was thinking about that song Wind Beneath My Wings. Someone sang it at a talent show when I was a kid and it always stuck with me. Mariah, if she ever does get another serious romantic partner, needs someone who is going to be the wind beneath her wings. I say "if" she does because I've noticed in myself and some of my friends as we get older, we feel less of a need for one. Maybe she feels the same.

I like how Kelly Ripa's husband took a backseat to her career and focused more on being a husband and father rather than chasing the spotlight. She needs someone who is going to accept she is a very bright star and isn't going to try to block her light. Tanaka seemed like he could be that but then I didn't like how he was pretty much asking for both jackets at Balmain when his luggage was lost on her reality show. I get that when you're dating someone rich they can afford to spoil you but they weren't even dating yet. It was a reality show, so maybe it was all staged.

Ew which reminds me of the annoying little daughter of the manager. When we said her team needed the young kids to tell us what's cool I meant the cool kids. Sorry to rip on a kid but that girl was as bad as her mother. Another grifter trying to block Mariah's light.

End rant.

I am sure MC has a lot on her mind right now with the U.S. promotion coming up, TD and SS chart and radio perfomance, album rollout, and how HFIA will perform when it is released. MC has a lot to grapple with, but she basically keeps it all inside. We will never know what she is going through because she just pushes through.

Tirzepatide (110,685) by Dove from United States
I just remembered I was on Tirzepatide for a few months earlier this year (to help me lose a few pounds) and I was so tired. When I wasn't at work I just wanted to be at home laying down. I wasn't getting good sleep so I was always tired anyway, even though I was "resting" so much.

A lot of celebrities are using weight loss injections right now so it could be that. I didn't even want to clean. My one meal a day was take-out so I wouldn't have to clean the kitchen, it was that bad.

What's wrong with MC (110,684) by Dove from United States
I kind of wish she would be open and transparent about what's going on with her so we would know she's not being drugged against her will like Brian Wilson and Britney Spears were. It could be nothing but it could be something.

My ADHD got a lot worse when I hit perimenopause. Maybe something like that happened with her too. I haven't seen her with a champagne glass in her hand all the time like during the Infinity era. A lot of people with mental health issues (I guess, I don't know what to call it) self-diagnose with alcohol, and sometimes other drugs, so this is not me blaming her for liking her splashes or anything.

I want to mind my own business but (almost) everyone minded their business with Brian Wilson and Britney Spears for so many years and look what that did to their brains.

I hope she's just tired because she hit menopause, or some medication she's taking (with good benefits that outweigh the bad) is making her lethargic. If she came out and said it, we wouldn't need to be worried.

And yes, I know she's a celebrity but some of us have been following her since childhood and she feels more like a family member than a stranger. She's given a lot to the world.

I'm glad Brian Wilson found a sweet partner to take care of him in the 90's up until he died this year. I wish Nick would have been that for Mariah instead of the self-serving narcissist he turned out to be. How disappointing.

Selena Gomez came out and talked about the changes in her weight and demeanor being caused by medication she needed. I don't follow her super closely or anything but I remember seeing her talking about it and it made me feel more at ease about the changes in her personality. Like, at least there's a legit reason.

I can't help but think something is wrong with M. It's written on her face. She's acting so different. Still loving the new era. But somehow I feel like we are loving it more than she is. Am I wrong?

Oh gosh I didn't know Nick directed that. Well good job because I love every shot. I know he gets hate for the "Up out of my face" video because people say it looks like an ad for Target but I really enjoyed that video too. Matches the playful nature of the song.

Vanguard Award - JLo? (110,680) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
She did have another one - My Love Don't Cost A Thing but what's hilarious is just a few years back she tried to start a "trend" to celebrate its anniversary where she wanted fans to recreate the part of the video where she keeps taking off stuff she's wearing one by one and walking away and only 1 person participated. Everyone else was like "I don't know her".

Jennifer Lopez has really only one truly award-worthy video and that's "If You Had My Love". The rest are pretty average. Mariah has many iconic ones. Here's my top 5:
1. Heartbreaker
2. Honey
3. Butterfly
4. Touch My Body
5. My All

Mariah would quickly but sternly correct you to "It's Type Dangerous dahlin." I forgot to add in my list I also really enjoy the ABMB So So Def Remix (or was it called the Mr Dupri Remix) video. The black and white one with her wearing a beret that was used for the actual cover.

Mariah vs Marilyn (110,676) by Tijl from Belgium
In a way Mariah can be considered as the Marilyn Monroe of pop music:
- Fighting their way up coming from a dysfunctional background.
- Both have an inate sensiblity of how to reach out to their public by being authentic and pure.
- More than often considered as created by some "Svengali" strong man in the background despite a blatant and honest talent. Scrutinized and mocked as just a pretty girl with a strong man making it happen for them while in fact both women were steadily pulling the strings behind the curtain, very much aware of their impact on their fans.
- Strong of heart yet very sensitive and a profound will to be taken seriously. (Marilyn joined the Actor's Studio and founded her own production company. Mariah still has to explain she writes and produces her songs.)
- Both iconic and unique. Often imitated, never duplicated.
- Unfortunately Marilyn came to pass at a point when she was about to really come into bloom (the exact cause is forever a mystery and very much debatable). Mariah has hustled and fought and she is still standing but still deserves more respect.
- Both are forever.
In my humble opinion.
