Dior hire Mariah already (60,044)
by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
| |
|
|
Anyone else getting a "Honey" and WBT feels from this Dior ad? Why not just hire the O.G. goddess and have her be the new face of Miss Dior. After campaigning (and then succeeding) in getting Mariah to be the face of MAC, we gotta start a campaign for a major fashion house (I am eyeing Versace/Gucci/Louis Vuitton/Balmain/Chanel to take our elusive chanteuse and make her the face of one of their lines. After all who knows luxury brands better than Miss Mariah Carey. Stella can we do this?

Yeah, Kelly was amazing. I love Keith too, the guy is so kind and wears his heart on his sleeve. I'd have to re-watch but I could have sworn Kelly used the word "Mariahisms" regarding vocals when critiquing one of the singers too.

True. I was shock when I saw the iTunes chart, it shoots up to No. 1 even though it has been released last November. By the way Kelly also mentions Mariah in that episode of AI, it's interesting because she is sitting next to JLo haha. Talent and soul will always win no matter what and it's nice to see that real divas and ballads are slaying again the charts, thanks to Adele and Kelly. So for our queen, just please sing your heart out with the coming era, just your voice, emotion, and the microphone then you will see, you will rise again and emancipated like the Mimi we are all been waiting for.

Darn Lee, making the duet almost impossible with the "co-writing" condition. I can't at you ruining the 5% chance of it being true. Ugh.

I'm glad Mariah has nothing but nice things to say about B and is up for it. But these rumors surrounding it makes it seem very unlikely. When was the last time you hear about B with a rumor title track or a date, she just drops it like it's hot. Well, I mean if ever this does happen I hope they can co-write it together. Bloop.

Her performance of Piece By Piece was touching. As a result, her song and album are sitting at the top of iTunes. If you have talent, you can bring even the most dead era back to life.

Mariah vs Beyonce (60,038)

I really hopee that the song will be nothing like Beautiful Lair (although the video was fine) or Can't Remember To Forget You. These two songs were lousy. I beg Mariah not to record anything like that. All or nothing. I like the video for Beautiful Lair. Bey and Shakira look like Mariah sisters or wannabes.

Will truly be a dream come true for me lol. I always wanted Mariah to do a duet with Beyonce and with this rumour swirling around, my heart [...] can't take it. Plus, this could be the first stage of Mariah's second comeback. I'm excited for the slayage that is the Empress Mimi and Queen Bey.

I think this "reality show" is in the same vein as Beyonce's HBO documentary. I hope it is because I can't see Mariah doing KUWTK style reality show.

Re: The expected single (60,028) (60,033)

Well since Mariah said "we are doing different things at the moment", in reference to Beyonce, it might mean the single is Mariah only, but she also said "I love Beyonce, she is super talented and I would work with her anytime", and that is what Miguel said about Mariah right before they dropped #Beautiful and rumors were swirling that they have collaborated. So I don't even know. Beyonce's next single will apparently drop in March. When MC said there "may be" a new single "soon" I thought maybe this is it. But I don't know. The whole "Hearts Down" title sounded to be like a fierce upbeat girl power song, or hey it might be a ballad. Anyways let's hope we get some news soon.

Without your voice: "Always a complete Greek in my good government I am not a new rich, I am former poor You know my name, I'm rising like Mariah Carey I'm always running around in circles, I deserve to settle down" The song is dedicated to his mother. Something like that. Francophones please correct me if I'm wrong.

I think it might be a 2-3 part documentary. I don't think Mariah would ever agree to a reality show, since she dissed reality TV a few times. Like Marissa said I would honestly love to have cameras follow Mariah haha so that I get the feeling that I am moving with her, but for her sake and for her brand's sake, a full fledged reality TV show would destroy her image, so I hope it's not true. But bring on the documentary.

Mariah has penned some of her most beautiful songs and even hits in under 15 minutes, I trust her genius can still do that. What Mariah needs though is someone interesting to work with, someone who might bring her a fresh sound, or she should refresh herself somehow. I liked what I heard in MIAM but some of the stuff felt old or recycled with a couple of overproduced tunes. The ballads were powerful and the lyrics very meaningful and I truly enjoyed Meteorite and where the whole bang was going. But I agree, wedding is right now in her agenda and can't blame her, she is in a happy spot.

The expected single (60,028)
by May from Denmark
| |
|
|
Will the expected upcoming single will be just Mariah or maybe is this whole Beyoncé duet single? Wow, that would actually be a shocker. I don't really know how both voices would blend to be honest, I personally don't like Beyoncé singing style but I can't figure in my mind how both together could sound like. What would they be singing? A mash up club song? I don't see something slow happening like with Whitney, then again both voices blended beautifully.

Well, Mariah does curse more than enough haha, let's not pretend she is not a human being, she has been caught a fair amount of times but definitely I don't see her throwing drinks around but if anything doing champagne splashes for festive moments. Even if she somehow threw a tantrum ala Kimora Lee, I'm sure it will be edited, lots of those realities are so heavily edited. How many times they show you before a commercial this very dramatic moment where the star says something and when they are back, it turns out to be a completely silly situation and nothing to do with real drama, these shows love to play on people. Real Housewives, after the first successful one, has been heavily scripted as well for example. I wouldn't mind watching a Mariah Carey reality, I think it could be cool. Realities are like a two edge sword, they either do great for your image and business or they destroy you. It did somewhat help Toni Braxton and her horrible washed up image (and helped her financially back up) and it definitely did help Jessica Simpson through a time as well, now she is being looked at as "the sweetheart" rather than the bimbo, image that haunted her for a long time in her youth. If they manage to make it look something like her MTV Cribs, with the fun moments, a homely life, what's Mariah going to cook , does she really cook or was always pretend, is she the woman of the "one recipe, the famous linguini" or it is like with that book where she claimed to cook and yet her personal chef was next to her telling her what to do, that was hilarious. I don't know, if they are innocent things like that I see it happening, seeing part of her work process, her morning humor, playing with the kids, randomly singing around the kitchen, getting ready for an event and dunno, going through the struggle of which show to wear. It could be fun and good if it's done the right way. I would definitely watch it.

Documentary will be good. I think the rumor of "Butterfly in Vegas" last year is a documentary so I wish they will push through that not a reality show. Besides of that being cheap for Mariah, she will also get criticized because she is always mentioning reality shows in a negative way. Be it a documentary then we are all good, a reality show can really downgrade her star.

Omg please shoot this down. This will ruin her. What mega music superstar does a reality show? Christina Milian? TI? Ja Rule? Ray J? Kim Zolciack? It's tacky and cheap. Don't get me wrong, I love me some Real Housewives and Love and Hip Hop but I love it for the ratchetness of it all. A 2 part behind the scenes/day in the life special I can deal with but not a series. No Stella no, this is the wrong direction. We might as well put her on Dancing With The Stars then so everyone will know she's a real hasbeen. Mariah's too big of a star for this. There are already 2 Mariah's and a Mimi in reality tv, we don't need anymore and not the real one at that. I vote no.
