Re: Stella (59,374) (59,414) by May from Denmark I don't believe is just Stella all the time, her make up artist and close friend has also been on the yatch, on the vacations and even Aspen. It's like been said "a giant circus", and also the Asian nanny as well, sorry don't know her name. I thought alike that they were all living together in Aspen, including Packer. Mariah always had people living with her. At least Stella, beyond being her manager and very likely already a good friend (no one would have a person they don't like for that long around), all her other few friends were emotional support, they played zero part in her life, sometimes I even had the impression that friend Mariah always took in her jet trips was just with MC for her money, but we will never know. I can't judge Stella, she is doing her job and surely is around 24/7 because Mariah asked her, from what I know Stella is married and to someone also in thr entrepreneur/management area, yet we never see pictures of them together, when do they even spend time together, wouldn't she like to be with her husband? If Stella appeared and Mariah's friend dissapeared suddenly, then they were never Mariah's friends. And Rachel is not really someone Mariah sees often since years, I think is that kind of childhood friendship one keeps close to the heart and they see each other when the time for an occasion presents. Rihanna has a bop on her hands that has #1 written all over it with "Kiss It Better". Jimmy not getting a prenup would be so irresponsible, I think board members of his company would veto him out. It's true, no one can unbreak Toni's heart like she can. Impossible. Although superstardom didn't turn out the way Brenda had hoped for, I still appreciate what she did for Mariah. Not just handing the infamous demo tape, but like buying her a coat during winter. I really want to see Mariah in a backless gown. Hope she's being inspired for new music. It felt it's more what she eluded to herself during the interview, and her dreams being played out vicariously through her daughter. I didn't take it as her blaming Mariah for the fact that her career didn't exactly pan out the way she'd once hoped, but yeah, she does miss singing the way she did before. She's right in a way, at the level of celebrity, Mariah has reached, maintaining the relationship they had before Mariah got signed doesn't come without all the trappings of fame. I don't think we have seen photos of Mariah and the Packer kids anywhere, but I wouldn't rule out them having met in private without photographers around, just to keep it more intimate. Wendy only praises Jennifer because she went on her show. Regarding album releases this year, I'm honestly not looking forward for anyone. I wish Beyonce and Rihanna would just go away lol. Brenda (59,407) by Giovanni from USA Very interesting interview. I love how she said she's happy Mariah is successful. But I wasn't here for the crying. Brenda had a beautiful voice, face and had star quality. Especially for freestyle. But if she was dropped and wanted to still keep her career, why didn't she go and sign with another label? Mariah once said in an interview that if she wouldn't have gotten signed with Sony she would found another label to sign her. She was determined to make her dream happend. Jesus Was A Cross Maker by Judee Sill The upper register on the Minnie Riperton track are astonishing and I'd love to hear Mariah add her own flair to it. She really does put up a show and while JLo is also a good performer, there is no need to put down Britney since she did manage to have a very successful residency at Vegas for a long time now. I laughed at Wendy saying "If I am not too exhausted, I will go watch Mariah after I see JLo." Like girl please, you know you love yourself some Mimi, no need to make it sound otherwise. I agree she really didn't have the drive to go on. If she really wanted it she could've had it. Mariah's grateful and appreciative. She's jealous and bitter. I dislike how she's making it seem like Mariah never ever acknowledged her, she always did and she still does to this day. "If my shows of gratitude are miniscule, Inside your mind, sorry (I'm so sorry, please forgive me), there's only so much I can do I love you and did all that I could." This could be about Tommy but also fits with Brenda. I hope that her kid does well and she stops whining about not being appreciated. Mariah never took her for granted. Especially with "Angel". I love me some Sarah Mclachlan. My favorite songs are "I will remember you" and "Fallen". "Afterglow" is my favorite album. I really hate people who try to act like a victim when they are not. I mean most of the 80s dance pop singers didn't make the transition from the 80s freestyle/dance sound to the 90 sound. I hate when people blame others for their failure, if she wanted to be successful she would of work hard to get herself another deal. "This one is going to appreciate me and never forget me." It was simple, sleek and chic. I also loved how she was totally feeling like royalty and she looked like a queen meeting the commoners here and here. Love this too. Also I forgot to mention in my last post but I do love the messy bun situation she had going on in the pool scenes (if that was what you were referring to). That is so effortlessly sexy.
