The situation was so weird to me, it was like she went to the spa for a visit to replenish herself. First of all I'm glad she's feeling better because when I read "hospitalized" my mind raced, "Oh no, not again." The reports with her people commenting made it seem like they needed to make sure Mariah the moneymaker didn't stop. Now, I'm glad Mariah is making bank on simply being Mariah Carey but she can certainly afford to not take on these gigs. No one goes to the hospital for a simple flu unless it's some celebrity trend I'm not aware of. All I'm saying is can we let the woman rest when she's sick? She's a human being, not a robot, remember? It's now the eve of the Beacon show, she has no excuse but to sound spectacular. The flu excuse is now null and avoid, because if you were that sick you should've stayed your ass in bed. And it's going to be a week since the flu, most people are healed and well unless celebrities take longer that I'm also not aware of. I kid. But what ticks me off is after trooping through her 300k-an-hour appearance and breaking down in the hospital, she doesn't rest but shows up for some rich white lady CEO, and then support her friend for a flyer she wasn't even on. I just hope the lambs don't have to suffer, you know, the ones who support and stood by her all these years. Priorities man. But of course, I'm probably just being Wendy and these are all in my mind when in actuality she's in great shape and ready to go. Sleigh on Mariah, sleigh on. She better slay. Hot for the Holidays (58,268) by darrian liu from taiwan I thought her performance was pretty good. Nicely done whisper voice (although she did crack once while singing the chorus, it's however obvious that she's been warming up properly as her head voice sounds smoother and less airy). Her chest voice is nicely supported and her runs were mostly on point. No pitch issues (lol Mariah seldom goes out of pitch) and there's little roughness in her belts. She's showing improvements consistently and her tone is actually getting smoother, healthier and less dry. It is not her best, but then it's far from being her worst. I don't expect her to come out with a mindblowing vocal performance with this song because it's a song that has a simpler vocal arrangement and obviously doesn't call for Mariah hitting perfect high belts or crazy agile runs. I do think she's a bit too still on stage and she should've added more movements but her vocals are actually good. (Tuesday 8 December 2015; 4:19)

I went the day of the concert a couple of hours before the show to buy tickets. I begged the lady for the best seats possible and advised how big of a fan I was. After the attendant worked her magic, she got me really good tickets. When I returned for the show, the line to buy tickets was long and the line to get into the venue was even longer. People buy the tickets the day of. When I went into the venue, every seat was filled. They even had attendants that walked everyone to their seat and when a guy tried to sneak and take the seat next to me, an attendant brought the person who actually paid for the seat and walked the guy to their actual seat. I wouldn't worry. If they didn't think she would fill the seats, they would have never gave her a third run in February. (Tuesday 8 December 2015; 3:51)

I have checked everyday and it has yet to budge. It could go top 10 but for some odd reason she is not promoting it. I don't get it. It is increasing in sales and climbing rapidly on Spotify. She needs to promote now. In the U.K. AIWFCIY is averaging over 200,000 streams AIWFCIY is currently #5 on Spotify according Kworb in the UK. Performance with Busta (58,263) by Randy from USA She didn't sound bad. I can't even criticize her considering how bad she has sounded in the past. My problem is for someone considered the best singer in the world because of what she does in the studio, this was dreadful. And I'm tired of the excuses, she's been singing for 25 years, she just got out of the hospital, she couldn't hear herself. She started this scratchy pitchy live foolishness on Oprah 1997 and has been pretty consistent since. (Monday 7 December 2015; 23:19)

I'm the first to point out when Mariah pulls it out of the bag, but I'm not deluded enough to think that every performance she does is amazing. It's also called an opinion. Everyone has one. Mariah sleighs even at her worst (58,258) by Baby from Dreamville...Where There's No Beginning & There is No End Why do all these people seem to have the collective memory of a single goldfish where Mariah's live performances are concerned? She was in the hospital on a drip less than a week ago suffering from severe flu symptoms. It was all over social media, TMZ, YouTube and MCA. Yet that is somehow irrelevant when reviewing her performance with Busta Rimes on Hot For The Holidays. When is the last time any of you checked out of a hospital straight into full make-up, hair and wardrobe and performed a full set for a corporate lumber company's Christmas party and probably had to fly miles away from home to get there? You people are just determined to relive the Rockefeller 2014 experience one way or the other, come rain or snow, aren't you. Sad, yet predictable. Mariah showed up to support her friend to help celebrate his milestone longevity in the music industry for free and the crowd loved it. But I guess if you're gonna be a Grinch, now would be the perfect time. (Monday 7 December 2015; 19:53)

Billboard charts became a business some are willing to follow but I'm happy MC is beyond that." You're right Sofia. And you know It could only have been someone like Prince who could have exposed them like he did. As he doesn't have anything to prove and he is known to release his material in ways Billboard doesn't always credit as legitimate sales. Of course the usual suspects are gonna wanna try and make this rather disappointing revelation about the bribery based culture at Billboard Magazine about everything but that. Corrupt losers. But in hindsight I'm really happy Mariah didn't get any of their fake awards. It just further endears her to me in light of recent events. I've watched a couple of old videos of her and some more recent and now at days Mariah is pure glam, she is looking like those big Hollywood stars from the 1930s in all their light, there's an evident evolution. I know a lot of people dislike her mermaid dresses but I just love them, she wears them with lot of grace. That video shows that Mariah is made of diamonds. (Monday 7 December 2015; 12:57)

Busta bust (58,252) by Lee TS from USA Here's the HQ video of Mariah's performance with Busta. I initially thought she did pretty good when it came to her verse, but here you hear the slight scratch when she was trying to sing the chorus. Please don't hate me for this, but I have to agree with a lot of the reactions calling it a senior moment. It was her aura and stage presence, she was so stiff. Like if she was 75 doing this, I would be impressed but she's not. She just needed to work the stage more, maybe strut across stage with one hand holding the mic and the other doing the spirit fingers pretending to touch the audience. Something. And the shades did not help either. I know Busta was just being friendly with M, but the way he was holding her as if she was going to topple over. Anyway, it was still a fun moment. She seemed comfortable next to Busta to just let her voice flourish. To my ears, she sounded wonderful and I loved how she changed some parts. Nowadays it seems like she does a lot of excessive belting and runs and although they don't sound atrocious, they do emphasize the strain in her voice. Vegas tickets (58,247) by Rene from US I told a friend Mariah tickets seemed not to be selling as much as they should be. He said, as an evil joke, maybe she'll start cancelling shows. I'm concerned.
