Mariah Carey deserves respect. I don't know how some of you can even call yourselves fans. It's beyond me. You make horrible remarks about her and the decisions she makes and try to say it's tough love or constructive criticism. Saying Mariah needs to work with new producers is constructive criticism. I want her to work with the producers that Miguel and Frank Ocean work with.

Mimi L Re: 54363 (54,391) by Dove from USA
It's possible to state your truth humbly. She could have replied, "It is a dream of mine to hold the record for the most #1 singles but I'm thankful to have more #1's than any other solo artist. That's an amazing accomplishment. I'm grateful to have had such a long and successful career and that my creativity well is still running. I'm still writing quality songs that the public enjoys." I know those are my words but I'm sure she could come up with a way to say it while not sounding snobby.

Why must everything be called an excuse? (54,390) by Amber C from USA
im going to use nonsensitive language so I don't get censored again. Lol. Everytime a lamb comes on here and refutes what other lambs (with plausible evidence) takes time to present to everyone else, the whole lamb movement is taken back 50 steps. When it comes to these "conspiracies" can we have a progressive argument? If [...] don't agree that Mariah is being sabotaged bring evidence why you don't believe so, [...] those who think that she is have brought good evidence. It's only fair. I will say that Mariah probably can't trust anyone on her 'team". From the black handler who never cracks a smile (I'm not being rasicst, I'm black as well) to that red head rouged cheek woman with all that strange jewelry. I don't care if [...] call me a conspiracy theorist, if [...] have evidence against my claim, please disclose, don't just criticize. Thank you.

Ben / Marcus / Marissa (54,389) by Licia from USA
You three have made excellent points. When MIAM flopped fans immediately blamed everyone except for Mariah. JD may not have been the best manager, but I feel he got a lot of backlash unfairly. We tend to not hold Mariah responsible for anything that goes wrong. She's not a new artist. She knows this industry like the back of her hand and she knows what she needs to do to be successful. As Marissa said despite all the obstacles that people have put in her way throughout the years she still promoted her music and worked her behind off. It's not the kids, the divorce, the record company or the managers. Unfortunately sometimes it's just Mariah choosing not to do what needs to be done. Before you all go into the "you're not a real fan" rants, I have been around since 1990. I'll continue to support her as long as she makes music I enjoy, but I won't pretend like everything she does is right when something is clearly wrong. For me it's not about number ones, it's about her regaining her respect back. People can't take away her accomplishments, but all the nonsense is overshadowing what she's worked so hard to gain. People are forgetting why she's one of the greatest.

Morgan and Shawn (54,388) by Paul D from USA
Isn't there a photo of Morgan with Mariah and their mom at an American Idol taping from 2013? Isn't Morgan in the video for When Christmas Comes? If so, it seems like they've kept in touch recently, so I don't understand how some are saying that they haven't kept in touch and are estranged. Allison, I get, but I thought Morgan and Mariah were always on good terms. Didn't she help Morgan promote one of Morgan's artist friends, the Japanese musician Skull? Then there's Shawn. Is it possible that Shawn is on Mariah's payroll? She paid for his college tuition. What does he do in Portland, for a living? If you look at his Twitter pics, he's photographed with lots of disgusting Playboy-type models. Seems like he's enjoying a good life.

Epic rereleasing #1's and Merry Christmas in 2015 which is Mariah's twenty-fifth year in the industry. These albums are being rereleased to coincide with her anniversary and to keep her relevant until she releases her next album. She didn't promote MIAM because of personal and professional issues. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't Mariah Carey an R&B artist? #Beautiful peaked at #15 on the Hot 100. You're Mine (Eternal) wasn't a hit but it wasn't a flop like the media and some of you seem to think. YME reached #24 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, #12 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Songs chart, #41 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart, #15 on the Hot R&B Songs chart and #20 on the Adult R&B Songs chart. It peaked at #26 on the Adult Contemporary chart, #36 on the Mainstream Top 40 (Pop Songs) chart, and #35 on the Rhythmic chart. Mariah Carey is still relevant. Mariah is slaying in Vegas. Her residency was extended into 2016 and she has the Beacon shows in December.

Listen all of you, it's a sabotage a.k.a. this is why we can't have pip things (54,386) by Baby from Dreamville...Where There's No Beginning & There is No End
It's no coincidence that they waited for her to become a divorcé and single mother to get Morgan all of a sudden talking like he's making up for all the years he said absolutely nothing. It's to keep as many serious, financially secure, powerful and respected suitors from potentially pursuing Mariah. What decent man of Mariah's stature listens to Nick's slanderous rants and raves, over sharing intimate of details, trash talking, bad jokes, comments laced with passive aggressive intimations about Mariah and not think twice? What no drama tolerance guy reads Damizza's "misquoted" me-and-Mariah love story and doesn't go hmmm? Who in their right mind that only casually knows Mariah's music and personal story watches Morgan, her own flesh and blood brother, accuse her of being everything but a child of God while name dropping Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston, wouldn't look at her differently? Like I've been saying, aside from the usual, there is also a major element of cockblocking. It's no fluke that Mariah's abilities as a mother and spouse-partner are being attacked. They want her alone and isolated to easier sell the narrative of her "bubble life". Morgan's story turns up, what, one day after the release of the Infinity video where Mariah's storyline is explicitly advertising her divorced status and actually creating a real dating profile on Match? Did I mention how fucking beautiful she looks in every angle? There is a reason the term power-couple is in our vocabulary.

Everyone is a critic nowadays (54,385) by D.D. from USA
I just love love love how everyone is so certain of their theories and seems to be next to Mariah the whole time to know exactly what's happening. The truth is that nobody here has the inside scoop, unless you're Mariah herself, you don't know crap. Believe what you want, but don't come here so certain with your negativity. It's easy to hide behind your computer screen and say any stupid thing that comes to mind. No one in particular is being pointed out here, just all the know it all negativos. Girl please. Next. PS I'm not here to be liked, since I do not know any of you personally.

Thanks for your post, glad you agree. I can't help it, I have had it with all those excuses and conspiracy theories. First of all I doubt Tommy's power to sabotage Mariah's career, let's not forget the huge success of TEOM and three #1's since she left Sony, he hasn't been able to stop her from achieving that. He hasn't been able to stop Sony from resigning her. He hasn't been able to stop her from receiving a huge paycheck for Vegas. Honestly I think he moved on with his life, maybe even wishes Mariah the best these days. After all 1998 is a long time ago. And this talk about so called buzz-singles, I just don't buy it. I think it's very sweet and loyal that fans try to find reasons not to blame Mariah for things that go wrong but maybe there's a chance that reality is a bit different.

Failure to figure out the scheme (54,383) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Haha wow I see you figured it all out. "The Scheme" starring Child. I never got to know what hit the DJs right after the BBMAs. Also I don't claim that Mariah wants to be me, when she says she wants to be Regina George. Neither did I go around pretending Mariah is giving us clues or sending us messages telepathically. There are many people on this board with monikers that have something or the other to do with Mariah (um because it's a MC board or haven't you figure out that scheme yet?), and then there is you, who chose the perfect nick name to describe your tantrums.

Mariah's sabotage (54,382) by D.D. from USA
Hey guys, I hope everyone is doing well. I always enjoy coming here for news and now for the messageboard. I like reading your opinions and even enjoy the occasional cattiness posted. But anywho, I believe that Mariah is not playing the game that the music industry wants her to play. She is tremendously talented, no doubt. I just think there are people in the industry that make things happen and are the same people that are standing in the way. You can laugh all you want, but it's very much real. Ignorance and denial are very much real. Wake up people. Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston dying were no accidents. Period. I love Mariah and I do worry about her well being as a person, beyond the celebrity, she could be in bigger trouble than we realize. Please support her and show the love you would want someone to show you if it was you in her shoes.

The excuses must stop (54,381) by Marissa from USA
I agree Ben and Marcus. I'm tired of every time something doesn't go perfectly in Mariah's career it's reduced to a conspiracy theory. MIAM was a great and deep album, but it flopped because it was poorly promoted. Not because everyone's against her. Infinity didn't go to #1 because it wasn't worthy of being a #1. It sounded like a disorganized rough cut. I will admit that at times it seems like there are forces working against Mariah, but the cream always rises to the top. When Mariah was busting her ass and extremely driven, it didn't matter who was trying to pull her down. Her music was still slaying the charts. You know why? Because she was out of her own way. She was doing everything in her power to succeed. She was making the hottest music. She was making iconic videos. She was promoting the hell out of her material. Therefore, no one could keep her down no matter how hard they tried. We can't start blaming outside forces until Mariah is 100% out of her own way.

Ugh don't get me started on the music video again haha. I went on a major rant about why Mariah didn't shoot the video while on vacation and before going to Vegas. I feel the whole Vegas show scene was shot as an after thought or last resort. The supposed original video was apparently going to be epic and all, what with all the promises of stunts and all really but the most stunt we got was Mariah prancing down a stair without a bodyguard. I love the Vegas shots, but honestly save it for the documentary about the residency. She got 3 celebs to be in the video, and couldn't even incorporate a good story line in it. Also sorry, I thought in your last post you wrote "she went to Epic without thinking", but I was clearly wrong. But ya I felt like she jumped at the chance of being with a boss she is comfortable with.

Re: Being realistic (54,366) by trox from united states of goats (54,377) by Baby from Dreamville...Where There's No Beginning & There is No End
Why so modest? Why not believe Morgan 1000%? Why don't you believe Mariah is in fact 100% bipolar since 2001? Why isn't she a full blown raging alcoholic? Why can't we know the full extent of her addictions when Morgan just spelled it out in plain English? How much more clear does Morgan have to be for you to take him on his word? Don't you have any trust in him at all that even though he's on record in clear-as-day-video, saying Mariah is beyond a danger to herself and her children and is on the verge of dropping dead from mixing drugs and alcohol, you still have some doubts? You're such a joke it's almost funny. The Earth isn't round to a certain degree, it's a perfectly round sphere all of the time. It's not, a somewhat flat bubble in which Mariah lives. Only an imbecile could make sense of these dumb oxymorons. Morgan is nothing but a wicked foultongued Judas. He can't be half-telling the truth without completely lying as you stupidly suggest. You sound just like the supposed yes-men in Mariah's bubble when you say you support her still. What kind of fool supports that type of behaviour? You apparently. Somewhere there is a mass grave of dead girls and live boys with a lot to say. Money isn't the only incentive. Self preservation is the greatest motivator since we lived in caves. And that goes for all of these Mariah bashers. Money is just a euphemism for whatever is being held over the current Anti-Mariah ranter's head. Anyone with discernment can see that.

The all knowing poster (54,376) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
A certain poster here acting like their own nick name think they are all that, oh well, I guess we have now seen all kinds of locos. "Predicting" (and failing) things that were supposed to happen (right after the BBMAs performance was it?), shooting down almost anyone who dares to say a single negative thing, pretending they can sense (and failing) what's coming out in the near future, when clearly it's a whole lot of bullshit that their mind has conjured. It's one thing to be a good fan but to think they are the only real fans on this board or the world is stupid. Get help darling. I wouldn't be writing this post because I don't believe in being rude to people and slinging mud, every person with whom I disagreed with, I have at one point or the other apologized to because I really do appreciate different views coming in. But someone here think they are royalty and everyone else are peasants. They are delusional enough to think their opinions are facts and they know exactly what's going on. Someone here almost thinks they are Mariah themselves. Come back to reality honey. You are really just making a joke out of yourself.

Ben / her choices (54,375) by Marcus from Brazil
I agree with you. Not every time something's wrong on Mariah's camp somebody else should be to blame. I consider JD a real friend of Mariah's, so when he says that she doesn't take her career seriously anymore, it is something to think about. But then again, according to some fans, Mariah's always the helpless miss goody two shoes that people like to pick on. Mariah's declining career has to do in part with the choices she has made, so let's stop looking for a scape goat in everything. The music business is about "timing", when a plan has been put in place and Mariah hasn't filmed her video because she's overweight, it is easy looking for the next one to blame. She was vacationing and having fun with Brett, yet she started her residency without having the video filmed. But oh well, let me find an excuse: she's a mother now, she doesn't have time for that. If I were her mother, I would slap her into being a grounded person because grounded she is not. She's floating.

Morgan (54,374) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Why are we even on this topic? No body cares. Jeez, even the internet let that story slip without making a huge deal out of it. Something that was unexpected since people jump at the chance of drowning Mariah. Morgan is done, he sold out his sister and to National Enquirer no less because all the others probably didn't buy his stupid story. The world has turned the other way on that story, why do the fans insist on bringing it up?

When life gives you lemons make lemonade (54,373) by Cgee54 from Usa
Why are we fooling ourselves? Infinity is not the hit we all where waiting for. #Beautiful was a potential hit and I'm so sad it wasn't supported the way it should have. I mean come on do we expect Sony to spend serious money on a single that came from a compilation album? I would be extremely worried if it was a full length album and it's getting this type of treatment. Mariah should realize that she can do things with Sony now that she couldn't do before like releasing albums cuts like the crave song, and other songs that got cut. She can even release the famous demo cd along with a remastered version of her first album. Instead of being mad she should capitalize on everything she can.

Re: Side effects (54,357) by Tijl Borgers from Belgium (54,372) by Baby from Dreamville...Where There's No Beginning & There is No End
How cosmic that your post should come right after mine with very illustrative commentary in the middle. Some of these posters think they slick when they try to pass of slander as news and scorn as empathy. Now you have them quoting anonymous "dialogue" on blogs and tabloids as sources. Mariah is extremely happy being back with L.A. Reid at Sony. We all see it in her smiles and laughter, her candor in interviews and her wardrobe choices. She looks healthy, is beyond beautiful in the Infinity video and speaks like the confident and powerful woman who has earned her every accolade, #1 record and place in the pantheon. Not to mention the deadwight in kilos she just lost. Mariah is the most transparent person in the world. So why would she be more upset over a completely benign sentence by L.A. and give nair a reaction to her own brother's caustic betrayal? Just utter idiocy. And yes, the original perpetrators of the Mariah Carey sabotage are very much still active, they have since recruited many of her collegues, songwriters and film industry people who casually bash Mariah on Twitter for sport. Even so called "friends" are dissing her. On the Jimmy Dore show a cohost told how she had been advised by the LA PD to shoot to kill if she was ever in the position of confronting someone, unarmed or not, and decidided to pull the trigger. Why not just aim to injure? Because the dead don't talk and the killer is less likely to be sued. That's how psychopaths think. No moral codes.

The problem (54,371) by George Golden from UK
The problem is the material. Mariah should not have released "infinity" as a single. Its her worst single ever. Seriously and to include it with her number ones was a bad decision. She has reduced herself to just an rnb artist and the music is suffering. If she releases a song like Paloma Faiths' "Just can't rely on you" do you guys think radio won't play it? And it won't blow up in the charts? It's her type of music that is too childish for her age and her celebrity has chewed up her music.

Mariah seems to be making front page alittle too much (54,369) by Amber C from USA
Mariah is still A list but why is she one of the celebs always front page for a negative story? Why is Mariah now infamous instead of famous. The whole system is trying to bring her down. I believe it's the whole industry. Her "friend" [...] stole from her, the [...] and the non respect from the other celebs. The whispering from Taylor [...], the shade from [...]. To be honest the only person who knows what up with [...] is Trey Lorenz. Also I think the only think that could save Mariah's life is an honest tell all book. Nick please [...] it. The truth will set Mariah free. Maybe if other stars had someone expose the craziness around them they would be alive today.

Sabotage? (54,368) by Amber C from USA
Who could it be? Does anyone remember the time period where Mariah was very close to Jay Z? Like it almost seemed intimate. That was the Emancipation high point, if I remember correctly. LA Reid released a single which he doesn't see going number one on a number ones album. Why would he do that, and then come out and say that he doesn't believe she could have #1s? I don't think Mariah knows people are out to get her. I honestly feel she is naïve. I also believe who ever was sabotaging her saw the downfall of her voice. 1996 and 1997 are two different voices. Hmmm, [...] are [...] there? Also remember the YouTube videos of the demos? What was that all about if Mariah never released them in the (let down) #1 To Infinity album? Don't act like [...] didn't expect better lambs. Why is Mariah working with the same folks that [...] worked with for This Is It? Is she that naïve? Guys is Mariah naïve?
