The all knowing poster (54,376) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
A certain poster here acting like their own nick name think they are all that, oh well, I guess we have now seen all kinds of locos. "Predicting" (and failing) things that were supposed to happen (right after the BBMAs performance was it?), shooting down almost anyone who dares to say a single negative thing, pretending they can sense (and failing) what's coming out in the near future, when clearly it's a whole lot of bullshit that their mind has conjured. It's one thing to be a good fan but to think they are the only real fans on this board or the world is stupid. Get help darling. I wouldn't be writing this post because I don't believe in being rude to people and slinging mud, every person with whom I disagreed with, I have at one point or the other apologized to because I really do appreciate different views coming in. But someone here think they are royalty and everyone else are peasants. They are delusional enough to think their opinions are facts and they know exactly what's going on. Someone here almost thinks they are Mariah themselves. Come back to reality honey. You are really just making a joke out of yourself.

Ben / her choices (54,375) by Marcus from Brazil
I agree with you. Not every time something's wrong on Mariah's camp somebody else should be to blame. I consider JD a real friend of Mariah's, so when he says that she doesn't take her career seriously anymore, it is something to think about. But then again, according to some fans, Mariah's always the helpless miss goody two shoes that people like to pick on. Mariah's declining career has to do in part with the choices she has made, so let's stop looking for a scape goat in everything. The music business is about "timing", when a plan has been put in place and Mariah hasn't filmed her video because she's overweight, it is easy looking for the next one to blame. She was vacationing and having fun with Brett, yet she started her residency without having the video filmed. But oh well, let me find an excuse: she's a mother now, she doesn't have time for that. If I were her mother, I would slap her into being a grounded person because grounded she is not. She's floating.

Morgan (54,374) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Why are we even on this topic? No body cares. Jeez, even the internet let that story slip without making a huge deal out of it. Something that was unexpected since people jump at the chance of drowning Mariah. Morgan is done, he sold out his sister and to National Enquirer no less because all the others probably didn't buy his stupid story. The world has turned the other way on that story, why do the fans insist on bringing it up?

When life gives you lemons make lemonade (54,373) by Cgee54 from Usa
Why are we fooling ourselves? Infinity is not the hit we all where waiting for. #Beautiful was a potential hit and I'm so sad it wasn't supported the way it should have. I mean come on do we expect Sony to spend serious money on a single that came from a compilation album? I would be extremely worried if it was a full length album and it's getting this type of treatment. Mariah should realize that she can do things with Sony now that she couldn't do before like releasing albums cuts like the crave song, and other songs that got cut. She can even release the famous demo cd along with a remastered version of her first album. Instead of being mad she should capitalize on everything she can.

Re: Side effects (54,357) by Tijl Borgers from Belgium (54,372) by Baby from Dreamville...Where There's No Beginning & There is No End
How cosmic that your post should come right after mine with very illustrative commentary in the middle. Some of these posters think they slick when they try to pass of slander as news and scorn as empathy. Now you have them quoting anonymous "dialogue" on blogs and tabloids as sources. Mariah is extremely happy being back with L.A. Reid at Sony. We all see it in her smiles and laughter, her candor in interviews and her wardrobe choices. She looks healthy, is beyond beautiful in the Infinity video and speaks like the confident and powerful woman who has earned her every accolade, #1 record and place in the pantheon. Not to mention the deadwight in kilos she just lost. Mariah is the most transparent person in the world. So why would she be more upset over a completely benign sentence by L.A. and give nair a reaction to her own brother's caustic betrayal? Just utter idiocy. And yes, the original perpetrators of the Mariah Carey sabotage are very much still active, they have since recruited many of her collegues, songwriters and film industry people who casually bash Mariah on Twitter for sport. Even so called "friends" are dissing her. On the Jimmy Dore show a cohost told how she had been advised by the LA PD to shoot to kill if she was ever in the position of confronting someone, unarmed or not, and decidided to pull the trigger. Why not just aim to injure? Because the dead don't talk and the killer is less likely to be sued. That's how psychopaths think. No moral codes.

The problem (54,371) by George Golden from UK
The problem is the material. Mariah should not have released "infinity" as a single. Its her worst single ever. Seriously and to include it with her number ones was a bad decision. She has reduced herself to just an rnb artist and the music is suffering. If she releases a song like Paloma Faiths' "Just can't rely on you" do you guys think radio won't play it? And it won't blow up in the charts? It's her type of music that is too childish for her age and her celebrity has chewed up her music.

Mariah seems to be making front page alittle too much (54,369) by Amber C from USA
Mariah is still A list but why is she one of the celebs always front page for a negative story? Why is Mariah now infamous instead of famous. The whole system is trying to bring her down. I believe it's the whole industry. Her "friend" [...] stole from her, the [...] and the non respect from the other celebs. The whispering from Taylor [...], the shade from [...]. To be honest the only person who knows what up with [...] is Trey Lorenz. Also I think the only think that could save Mariah's life is an honest tell all book. Nick please [...] it. The truth will set Mariah free. Maybe if other stars had someone expose the craziness around them they would be alive today.

Sabotage? (54,368) by Amber C from USA
Who could it be? Does anyone remember the time period where Mariah was very close to Jay Z? Like it almost seemed intimate. That was the Emancipation high point, if I remember correctly. LA Reid released a single which he doesn't see going number one on a number ones album. Why would he do that, and then come out and say that he doesn't believe she could have #1s? I don't think Mariah knows people are out to get her. I honestly feel she is naïve. I also believe who ever was sabotaging her saw the downfall of her voice. 1996 and 1997 are two different voices. Hmmm, [...] are [...] there? Also remember the YouTube videos of the demos? What was that all about if Mariah never released them in the (let down) #1 To Infinity album? Don't act like [...] didn't expect better lambs. Why is Mariah working with the same folks that [...] worked with for This Is It? Is she that naïve? Guys is Mariah naïve?

Walmart shareholders show (54,367) by Reuben Walton from United States
She was more on point on this show than I've seen her be lately. ABMB she went for the notes again and I could hear her live voice almost the whole time except for some parts of the last chorus.

Being realistic (54,366) by trox from united states
I saw the video of Morgan's interview, it's quiet serious. I do believe there's some truth to it. He ain't saying that Mariah is bipolar but that she inherited some bipolar and alcoholism patterns of their mother. He is basically saying that she lives in a bubble, surrounded by enables and doesn't have much limits, that her "ego is out of control" (as it is with many other superstars). She thinks she can do anything with her body and that medication mixed with alcohol won't do her harm. We all know there's some truth to it. We just don't know the extension. And I do think if Morgan only wanted money it would be easier for him to have a conversation with Mariah, his sister, and ask for it. It's not a tabloid interview that will make much difference for him financially. It's quite the contrary, it will put him in a bad position with Mariah and the world. He is being brave to do it. If he is doing that, it's because Mariah won't hear anything about her health. She will do only what she wants to do. We have to understand that these mega-stars have the power to create the reality that they want for them. I hope Mariah takes care of herself - what she seems to be doing since her Vegas announcement. But we can't see Mariah as a victim of her family or record company, she have her own problems and can be quite difficult to deal too. She's human at the end of the day. I will support her always but I believe in Morgan. It rings true at certains aspects.

Marcus (54,365) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I think the damage control is more of the work of Stella and Co. than Epic. Stella is quick to emphasize big stories about Mariah and get rid of the bad ones before it spreads like a genius. Epic is not doing that. This is what Mariah's hero, L.A. thinks "The boss even said the veteran singer should just be glad that radio stations would even pick up her song." Setting the bar real low. I mean what the major fudge? Anyways I get pissed thinking about Reid. I agree that MC probably jumped at the chance of working with L.A. (hoping for another TEOM) without even looking elsewhere and at other options. I also agree that sometime "Infinity" does sound like it's a bad edit job. But bear in mind if Epic didn't think it would work, they wouldn't have released it. L.A. Reid is notorious for messing up single choices for Mariah since a long time now. Plus every time after a release he feels that it won't work, he looks the other way and lets it sink.

Sabotage? (54,364) by NHYTG from nyc
I don't want to be rude or negative on anybody else's posts but reading about Sony trying to sabotage Mariah seems a bit odd to me since they have just signed her. Any record company wants to make money, I think Sony isn't any different in that. Infinity has had lots of promotion in the US and it just didn't work out well. The general public didn't like the track or, more serious, don't care that much about Mariah at all anymore. There have been plenty of flops before and the last few years I think Mariah may have a big image problem. I have a very strong feeling that the brand Mariah Carey is seriously damaged by things that have happened in the past. When I read anything about Mariah in the Dutch press most of the times it seems like Mariah is a bit of a silly person, living in a fairytale world doing her own silly things. Some really bad performances didn't do her very well either. Most of the time reactions of non-fans are negative: she can't sing anymore, she's fat, she's foolish, she's old, she dresses to young etc. I wonder if it's still possible for her to regain love and respect of the general public again, I also wonder if Mariah herself cares that much or is willing to work hard enough just to try to achieve that. Especially JD telling the story about Mariah not taking her career too serious has made me wonder if she herself is not, at least partly, to blame for all recent flops and failures. We all know how quickly she seems to abandon singles and albums lately.

What Mariah should have said (54,363) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I don't think it would have been wise for Mariah to say "Yes" when asked if she wants to overtake The Beatles. She would come off as arrogant and full of herself and she really had no good record at that point (due to all her recent singles not making any impact) to make such a big claim. Mariah is very careful everytime people say "You have more #1's than Elvis" because when she did cross Elvis, there was a lot of backlash from Elvis fans, so every time people bring up Elvis, Mariah gets careful. The Beatles are held in a really high place in the music industry even now. For Mariah (with her recent track record and GP already thinking she's an arrogant diva) to say that yes she wishes to take The Beatles' throne would be career suicide. Confidence is one thing, but people think Mariah is arrogant, so yeah. I would have preferred her saying "All I want is to make good music that my fans would love and if it becomes a hit then it's a bonus because who doesn't want a hit?", instead of straight up saying "No".

Oprah's New Chapter (54,362) by Dove from USA
Thinking back to when I was a teen and preteen, the artists that were popular were the ones who were on MTV, VH1, and E all day. They had their videos, interviews, specials talking about them, etc. There was no way people didn't know who they were. Remember what Newlyweds did for Jessica Simpson's career? That show was on about three times a day. The trick is that they made her relatable and likable while showing the fancy lifestyle of celebrity. It was entertaining. I would love to see a few episodes of cameras following Mariah around. She could do the New Chapter on Oprah that shows her overcoming some struggle. It has to be a real struggle, though, because people can tell when things are fake. The idea is to make people feel something.

Power ballads (54,361) by Dove from USA
I love Infinity but I can sorta see why it didn't go to #1. It's a great show closer, empowering to people getting out of relationships, and I'm glad it exists. But Mariah still needs to get the public back on her side. The thing people love about Mariah's songs is that they make us feel something. Sometimes the video more than the song is what makes us feel something like with Honey. The Honey video was exciting and a new look for Mariah. I'm about to say some negative things but I am not trying to be shady. I was watching the BMA performance again and I noticed when the camera cut to some of the celebrities they looked bored and Taylor Swift looked at her boyfriend like, "I told you so." Like they had made a bet that it would have a sustained high note at the end. Maybe power ballads from Mariah are not exciting anymore because she's done so many of them. Maybe she should still do them (for the fans) but just leave them on the album and not make them the singles.

Side effects (54,357) by Tijl from Belgium
Hello Lambily. I think we all agree on the fact that there are definitely some people with power trying to work against our girl. As a matter a fact a very close friend of mine met a presidential bodyguard when he was escorting president Obama during a trip to Europe. This bodyguard had also worked closely with Mariah during several occasions. He confided to my friend that indeed some forces are working against her. He mentioned something about links to mobsters. We all know for a fact that mister "Side Effects" is very powerful and has many times debunked Mimi's career. However that certain bodyguard was very carefull in giving too much information but he pressed on the fact that people he used to be on her side are now working against her because they are told so. I don't know how accurate this information is, but we should accept that in every business there are politics involved and that if you don't play the game according to the powers that be like it, you are in for a tough ride. Mariah has made some of her strongest and deepest music over the last years yet everything seems to fail. Clearly something is going on behind the scenes. Too many undermining stories pop up randomly. These stories make my blood boil as I believe she is a genuinely good person.

Mimi L. / the Paris coversation (54,356) by Marcus from Brazil
Mimi L., if that conversation really took place, there must be something really wrong with Mariah and her team then. Signing with Sony again wasn't something she didn't think thoroughly, she signed because she definitely saw the potential and support. As of now, they have been doing excellent damage control, to the point where bad press about her have come and gone very quickly, that is not coincidence, that's excellent team work from Sony. I don't know if Mariah has understood that her name along won't carry her singles anymore. As for "Infinity", if Mariah wants a hit, then she should produce a hit, not a half-cooked hit wannabe like "Infinity", it is not single material. When a lamb takes a single and mix it better than the original, you can actually see that "Infinity" was a rush half-cooked project. Why should Sony promote something that even us fans know ain't going anywhere, the decaying music business doesn't work like that anymore. Big budgets for music videos and huge advances are a thing of the past. They put the money on a song that has legs and will eventually not only benefit the artist. I know we all love Mariah, but we all know she also has a huge ego, she's not the goody two shoes helpless lady we thing she is. She's very talented, intelligent and a business woman, but she should burst her bubble to come down to the real world for a little while.

Ardis (54,355) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
While we can't be sure if Mariah did say those but it makes you think. She has moved away from L.A. Reid as soon as she got time off, we didn't see her wish him. She is openly giving out her schedule to fans in what seems like an attempt to inquire if they are actually getting to hear her new work by asking them personally. She probably feels betrayed by a lot of people, brother, boss, and who knows who else, so she is indulging in the company of her fans and Stella (along with children I am assuming are Stella's). I think she really had a lot of faith in "Infinity" and was taken aback when very little effort was put behind promoting it. I mean she left her last label because she thought they are not valuing her products and the same is happening here. About Don M (the X), I don't know much about him so I don't know if he is the type to hold on a grudge for over 2 decades. I think he probably moved on, I mean shit happens, it has been 20 years. I think MC's current problem is due to ageism in radio world and L.A. Reid's stupidity. Really he has no clue anymore about what to do with Mariah. I don't care who says what, that man is trying to make MC get into Granny Panty Zone. Apart from that, in Hollywood, there also always is the hidden agenda of many people who enjoy tearing down legends so the conspiracy is always there. Happened to the best of them.

L.A. Reid (54,354) by Dove from USA
I don't believe L.A. Reid is trying to sabotage MC. It would benefit him if she did well. I think maybe he doesn't know about the power of intention. It's better to try and fail then to not try at all. By stating that Mariah will never have another #1, he is setting that plan into motion. Even if he doesn't think she will have another #1, he should never say it, especially not to the world. Everyone who read that article, or heard Mariah say nobody can beat The Beatles, was programmed and are subconsciously working to make that happen. When Jimmy Kimmel asked her if it was her dream to beat The Beatles' record for the most #1's she should have said "Yes" and stated why. (If it is, maybe she really doesn't care.) L.A. Reid should have said that Mariah can still make #1 records and listed all of her virtues. Something like what Walter Afanasief said about her in this clip. I think Infinity was promoted. They had "buy Infinity" banners on every YouTube video the first few days it came out. She had televised performances on shows watched by a lot of people. I think things are moving in a good direction. Her voice is improving, she is regaining her confidence as a performer with the Vegas residency, she's dressing better and looking great, she has a fresh new team in place, she's at Sony where a large chunk of her catalog is, and I truly do believe L.A. Reid is on her side.

Mariah's sabotage? (54,353) by Amber C from USA
Was [...] Mariah's sabotage? Why does it seem like the media and the industry is trying to dissolve her? And can [...] believe that there are articles saying, "Mariah will die like [...] and [...]"? Guys before this, I was the only one saying Mariah should not have gone to Sony. The people working with her in [...] are the same ones who did Michael's [...] tour. Who would assign such a team for he?? LA? Plus Infinity is not a #1. We need to stop deceiving ourselves, it's one of the weakest songs that Mariah has written. But the real problem is that LA [...] probably gave her the impression that it was a hit. So when it didn't do well he looked the other way. This is all bad. Where is Racine?

Hello Lambily (54,352) by Kitty from USA
As my first post I just want to say that I have been a lamb for a long time and I always will be. I don't have anyone else to talk about "Mariah stuff" with so it's good that we have a place to be able to do this. I have been keeping up with the Mariah news on Google and have read a lot of the comments here about the latest stories. The Morgan story is very disturbing to me. He should be ashamed of himself. I can only hope that Mariah has people in her inner circle that are much more loving and supportive then her own flesh and blood. I don't want to make this too long but I also love seeing Mariah in Paris. She looks beautiful and fashionable. Her performances have been much better lately and I enjoyed so much seeing her on the BBMA. Show those other performers what a true singer looks and sounds like.

Billy from Greece (54,351) by Bill from the UK
Yes, her openers are always on point. Betcha Gon' Know is lyrically one of Mariah's best songs. She really paints the picture visually. My favourite album opener is probably Emotions from MTV Unplugged. Those two chords and the glorious gospel opening for me cannot be topped.

Re: Mimi L / Mariah sad (54,350) by Ardis Logic from Earth
It breaks my heart to hear this. I hope this is just a rumor. Somehow I think it could be the constant sabotage by her first "X", who we all know who that is, so I don't have to say his name. Is it possible that this man is that powerful that he is still trying to destroy her? Then there is the drama brought on by her so called "brother" that has to be hard to deal with also. I really wish that she could find happiness. She really deserves to be happy and have all her dreams come true. I continue to send her love and positive energy.

Haha Lee darling calm down, her make up was fine as seen in the picture here. Rousteing Mus have been out of his mind when he decided to put in a filter, which makes both of them have corpse skin and lips so chapped they look like they are painful. But the original picture posted by Mariah shows they both look alive with healthy glowing skin. Lol, I had a mini laugh attack reading your post and seeing you so frustrated.
