Candid Carey (53,817) by B from USA
Mariah hasn't been this candid in years. I knew the AI feud was fake. It was painfully obvious that producers were behind that mess. Nigel blaming Mariah and Nikki for his failures is absurd.

Dahling (53,777) by Deedre aka MiTodoChop @HBF from Canada (53,816) by Baby from Dreamville...Where There's No Beginning & There is No End
Even if I rarely encounter lambsb IRL I've never really dealt with people who dislike her music or her persona. And I could never fall for some guy who didn't appreciate her importance in my life. Same with MJ, it's a basic litmus test for me that trumps any other affiliations one might otherwise go by like religiosity or political views. They matter, of course, but some people change their politics and faiths like Twitter changes its trending topics. It's easy to lie about who you voted for in the last election or pretend like you are an aware citizen and a spiritual person when you are as snowed-in and ungodly as they come IRL. But there are tell tale things about you that never change and they show up in the art you enjoy in your day to day life. That is too hard to fake beyond 6 weeks. The same goes for certain films. But I don't judge any books by its lover in the same way though. Do I make any sense to you? All of this was to say that the biggest cultural impact Mariah has had on my close friends through me has been the gradual insertion of the term: dahling. They don't even know that it's a Mariahism because I've also been a grand fan of AbFab since the 90's. I'll never tell.

Music video news / M (53,815) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
M thanks for the info. I wonder if they'll give any announcement prior to the video release or they'll just drop it and tweet about it. I hope they don't decide to release it after uploading her commentary on the videos of all her 18 #1's. Then it'll be too late and it will be like trying to revive a dead body that has been dead for weeks. Anyways the whole video release situation has been a mess. Thoroughly disappointed because had it been released on time, the video combined with her amazing performances could have shot the song up the charts. I can't fathom how Epic was so disorganized. Mariah seems pissed about it too, but I won't exclude her from the blame because she could have pushed them to shoot the entire video earlier and just left the Vegas part for later. We were given the impression the video and single was ready the time MC and Brett called into the radio show months back. Then there were rumors of her apparently pulling some stunts in the video. Which would have been fresh and exciting. Lol I wonder if MC changed the video because Taylor Swift stole her intellectual property and put it for "bad blood". Now I don't know what to expect from it.

"The video should be coming tomorrow but everything with this video is been like taking longer than I can't even say or tell you so I'm hoping for tomorrow." - MC on "Fitzy & Wippa" (Nova 96.9) *Fingers crossed* for the Lambs.

I think the issue with Dre is his strong relationship with Eminem, though that didn't stop Mariah and Damizza from working together. But then again, Damizza was still hungry for recognition when he first started working with her. I think it's safe to say Dre is very popular and doesn't feel like he needs Mariah's name to be even bigger. RJJ12 indeed please do elaborate. I haven't read Damizza's memoirs. It would be good to know exactly why.

You made me curious, could you elaborate the "why Mimi and Dr Dre will probably never work together" part? I'm sitting here wondering.

Bubble (53,811) by 123 from USA
I'm shocked that people are questioning why Mariah would live in a bubble and might be oblivious to processes her team have put in place without her knowledge. What comes off as requests from a demanding diva could really just be her team trying to protect her. From the 1999 interview posted here recently were she talks about "secret people" following her, to her crying in Michael Jackson's arms admitting that Tommy would tap her phone and have her followed, to people being offered money to spy on her so they can keep tabs and sabotage her. After her intellectual property was not only stolen, but used against her to temporarily sabotage her career, I would be paranoid about everyone's intentions. She probably doesn't want to get hurt again by someone she ends up trusting (Brenda K Starr, Tommy, Walter, Kelly Price, Damizza, Nick) and then ends up speaking negatively about her either publicly or privately.

Damizza (53,809) by 123 from USA
Like every man that she has ever been linked to (Tommy, Eminem, Nick), he still holds a candle for her and can’t stop talking about her. She’s divorced and his career is non-existent so he sees his chance. I used to like Damizza, great producer, especially after reading his memoir. For all the lambs that haven’t read it, they should. He speaks about her amazing work ethic, to her vast knowledge of music. He also goes into the juicy details of Tommy trying to put him on his payroll to spy on her, to her breakdown, to why Mimi and Dr Dre will probably never work together. Then, I see this interview where the interviewer gives him credit for being instrumental in bringing Mariah back with the Mimi album, and he sits there smugly basking in taking the credit, instead of correcting the interviewer. I questioned his character after that. I hope she stays away, he admits to being an alcoholic and being around someone like that wouldn’t be good at this time in her life. Her voice has sounded healthier and she seems to be in a good space personally and professionally. His musical suggestions were bad during the Charmbracelet era were bad anyway, whispering, and bad features. Why wasn’t she singing on Fat Joe’s hooks or whatever other rappers that were hot during the time. He said the Vegas show was too much for her. Well, she got through the first leg in a better space than when she started. Guess enough time has passed where he doesn’t really know her after call.

MV (53,808) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Ok so I heard all the radio interviews but I seemed to have missed her talking about the music video. Can someone tell me exactly what she said?

MC calling in to "Kyle & Jackie O" and "Fitzy & Wippa" Aussie radio shows (53,807) by Baby from Dreamville...Where There's No Beginning & There is No End
As always, M is showing mad love to the Lambily and Olivia Newton-John. Also she casually broke the news of the Merry Christmas re-release later this year. The Infinity MV is on the way and it might be just hours until we get to see it. I'm excited, these things make me happy.

Infinity music video (53,801) by Malcolm from Asia
So MC is uploading a video of her "memories (and rants)" from each of her #1 singles from her facebook. As I have noticed, she might upload one video per day and I have a feeling that we might be getting the Infinity MV after all the 18 #1s memory videos are uploaded (that is less than 17 days ). More than 1 month after the single release? That's too much, is there anybody who knows a singer releases his/her MV months after the song released? Well after all, I love Mariah more than that MV so I just hope that it is worth the wait and not a typical MV, it must be something different, fresh, and new. Have a nice day Lambily.

Re: Lamb_O_Chop from Australia (53,800) by MimiLamb from Germany
I couldn't agree more. Of course we don't have to praise Mariah when it's not deserved but that doesn't make it right to stomp her into the ground either. To be absolutely honest I didn't want to post here for the longest time because of the tone of a lot of the messages but I was also afraid I would come across as "too positive". I have Mariah's back in good and in bad days, do I agree with everything she does? Not at all. Do I think she is innocent in everything that happens around her or to her? No. I'm very happy to come here again and not only to read the articles but also to read what people posted on the messageboard. I don't miss the alltime negativity at all. The critique I have been reading is milder and not as harsh then it used to, but with that more relatable and even to a point were I think about it from another perspective. The messageboard has a healthy balans again and I hope it stays like that.

Highlights (53,799) by Luke from United Kingdom
Here's a video of some highlights from her shows. My All sounds so amazing. It's kinda hard to believe how clear her voice is becoming. Is this the third coming of Godriah?

L.A. Reid's comments were blown out of proportions by the media just like many of us feared. JD is not vilified, he just wasn't capable of managing Mariah. Damizza is a cockroach coming out of the woodwork. Nick broke our girl's heart. These type of comments no matter how you and Andrew try to justify them are disrespectful to the others and to Mariah.

Lamb_o_Chop (53,797) by B from USA
They are still here. They just don't have any valid complaints at the moment. They are still claiming she's lipping and that she's lazy because the video to a song that's destroying her legacy that they hate hasn't been released yet. I just no longer read post by recent individuals.

By the same token, it's one thing to be objective and fair concerning Mariah and it's another thing to never have her back on anything (even when she's truly been betrayed or wronged) and only come here to vent negativity. I'll go on record of saying the energy here is much better since many of the pessimist have put themselves out of their misery. Every other fan base has their faves back, when chips are going down, so why shouldn't we?

Still no video (53,794) by Ty from USA
We should all be used to this, say what you want but Benny [..] and [...] Reid got those Mimi videos out one after another, after that record. [...] was late, [...] was dry, [...] never appeared, [...] never appeared, I miss the Mimi era. [...] is the best vocal live she has done in years. If she would have sang this at the [...] she would have gotten a standing ovation [...].

Mariah's pride / TGIFY in Vegas (53,793) by this_is_qhm from the Philippines
I'm really glad that Mariah isn't one of those artists who are too proud to drop keys when they perform their songs live. I'd much prefer her singing on a lowered arrangement than lip synch pretty much an entire song just because it's harder to for her to replicate it live than it was for her before. With that thought out of the way, I know it's practically gotten universal acclaim here but can we just once again bow down in respect for that stripped down rendition? It's interesting because TGIFY is probably her most maligned #1 and is often considered one of her more forgettable hits. So how ironic is it that she turned it into the night's highlight? Said it before, I'll say it again - it's consistency that she struggles with. On a bad day, Mariah is still a force to be reckoned with. On a good day, she's in a league of her own.

The Damizza arguement (53,790) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Why is this even a debate anymore? The man himself has issued statements both personally and through his manager/publicist that he was misquoted, even going so far as to say that he didn't even say those lines. So please tell me again why we are dragging Mariah through dirt when the woman didn't even say one word on this topic.

Baby / Mariah fandom (53,789) by this_is_qhm from the Philippines
It can be sad to be the only Mariah fan from where you are, though I think there are others out there, you just have to look. If it's any consolation, it's not like there are a lot of Mariah fans here as well. Most just know her name and associate her with her biggest hits. Although there are hardcore lambs out here who are very active even in social media (I mean, they hold regular gatherings and stuff, they print Mariah shirts out of her latest single/album covers, and even they raised funds to buy Mariah a fan club gift, among others, during her latest tour when she stopped by last October), the masses here usually identify with songs first, then when they like more than a few, they start to become fans of the artist and start following them, and once they do, they're usually extremely loyal. It's not like Mariah's a topic worth discussing here on regular days, but when she releases new material or visits the country, it's amusing to see the "closeted" lambs suddenly come out of the woodwork. Haha.
