L.H. (53,523) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
She also sang "We Belong Together", "Always Be My Baby" and a snippet of "The Roof", yes "The Roof" but those weren't aired either and it's not new. From what I gathered, they air 1 and 1/2 or 2 performances and they sometimes air other performances on other nights or on YouTube. We know obviously that VOL and "Infinity" were chosen to air first because it is her first and last single to date. Plus, she is promoting the latter and also both kind of show the beginning to current position of her career.

Jimmy Kimmel (53,522) by Will from England
Perfect performance. Better than the BBMAs. She belted out the last part of VOL like it was nothing, and the high note at the end of Infinity was most certainly live. Did she have some backing track? Yes. Was it 90% live? Yes. Overall, her voice is better than what it was a few months ago. It sounds thicker and rich, compared to how it sounded thin and stuck in a high part of her chords. I don't know the terminology, I'm no expert. Side note, I laughed at the Infinity clip. It was just too funny, with her slamming the door on all those guys. I think the video is going to be the tongue-in-cheek video like TMB. Also, her response to "Do you watch Wives With Knives" was perfect. A good start to the week.

Where's the video? (53,521) by Lara from Middle East
Enough with the teasing, drop it. They hyped it so much so I hope it's worth the wait. Finally I've heard Infinity on the car radio here at 4:00 am. She posted on instagram her singing Touch My Body on the Kimmel mini concert (and Roc is so cute clinging to his mom) but I have seen her video where she sang the same medley of the BBMAs (only much better) and no Touch My Body, so I'm confused.

Re: B LA (53,520) by Xavier Peoples from United States
B, I totally agree with you. LA sounded so negative in that interview. I would be so disappointed if Mariah did a duets or covers album. That would be so lame. She needs to wait until she's like 60 to do some mess like that.

Video release (53,518) by Lee from UK
What is with the massive build-up to the Infinity video release? I wouldn't mind if it was a good song but I am just not feeling it. Sony have their act together with promotion at least. I've seen more of Mariah in the last few weeks than I have in the last 5 years in the British media which is a bonus.

You really took the words out of my mouth. There is something really wrong with the attitude of the youth from this generation.

Correction (53,516) by Musti from UK
I take back what I said about Jennifer Lopez yesterday. She is still deceitful and pointless as ever. I'm not sure why she's in a room full of singers and artists. She's never been either.

Kimmel (53,515) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Woah she blew my hair away with the VOL performance and this time the transition from VOL and "Infinity" was so smooth and all the time she was so relaxed and she was interacting with the audience. My gosh, people should be exposed to this Mariah. Oh and bonus, this time she did the "punching" dance moves at the end of infinity. I love how she hugs herself during "loving me more and more", it's so cute.

LA Reid (53,514) by Lee TS from USA
The man worries me. I can't quite put my finger on it but there's something about him that just seems sketchy. He gave Billboard an interview and said for radio to just play M is already winning to which I agree. But I don't know, he is very hit or miss and is the "forever picking the wrong second singles" powers that be. The only thing he's got going on for him is Meghan Trainor. Like, poor Ciara with her dismal 19k album debut, the Fifth Harmony girls getting their Billboard performance nixed and it seems like they're taking forever to blow up. Toni's little sister Tamar is like a one hit wonder I suppose, but I still find her hilarious. Well, all that to say if Mariah feels supported and heard as an artist then coolies.

JLo (53,512) by Rene from US
I will mention JLo's name. I am a Mariah fan. I can be objective though. Let's not sit here and pretend Mariah has been nice to JLo. The Mariah and JLo "feud" had gone on for a while. You might say JLo started it by stealing Mariah's song. JLo never stole anything, she just sampled the same song Mariah sampled. I think all this could have been orchestrated more by Mottola to instigate the "feud" and retaliate against Mariah. JLo was just a pawn. Mariah fell for it and took JLo as an rival.

What #1's should she perform (53,511) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I think Mariah should leave VOL for now in public appearances. It's not appealing to the current music buyers. Yes I am ready to be shot at with arrows by everyone on this board, but after yesterday's performance all songs mentioned namely "Infinity" and WBT started re-charting. VOL was no where to be seen. I personally never (oh my gosh please don't kill me) was a fan of VOL. I tried, I really did, but I couldn't, but I have the utmost respect for this song because 1) It is the song that introduced Mariah to the world. 2) It is the song that has inspired more artists than probably any other song. So yes, but I think it's time Mariah pumps up "Someday", LTT, "Heartbreaker" and "My All" (I know she sings the last 2 a lot, but those were mainly for her own concerts, not the TV shows). It's summer time and "Heartbreaker" is perfect for a feel good song and people can sing along, "My All" and LTT will showcase Mariah's beautiful range and her classic ballad moments "Someday" again will be the sing along anthem to every girl with a broken heart and that note at the end will be the cherry on top. What songs do you think she should use for her upcoming appearances? I am talking about TV shows and music awards and all, not personal concerts, so bear that in mind. The GP has to be hooked in with these more commercial songs and then bang, she can slip in VOL. With all this said, I am sorry if I offended anyone with the post, this is just my opinon/suggestions to get MC back on top.

My opinion on "the haters" (53,510) by Ardis Logic from Earth
I will admit I have done plenty of hating on J-Lo in the past, but there comes a time in your life (hopefully) when you realize that it's ok if people don't like you. Maybe J-Lo and other Mariah haters may not like certain qualities in her because it embodies a trait or talent that they wish they, or their favorite performer had more of. No matter how amazing or successful someone is, there will always be someone hating on them, because they feel they are on a lower level of greatness than that person. Above all, it's best not to take it so personal. Mariah was shining like the sun last night, and even if you look down at your phone, or put on your sunglasses, you could not hide from it. She was stunning. Let them hate if they want to, it just shows how uncomfortable they are with themselves.

Live Nation CD cancellation (53,509) by David from Australia
I just received an email saying the message was sent in error to everyone who preordered, so we'll still be getting the CD. No need to worry.

Trouble finding CD (53,508) by Adam from US
So, the CD was released today, but I went to Walmart to buy it (I pre-ordered it, too) and I searched the whole department. I couldn't find it. I asked someone, told them CDs usually come out tomorrow, but Mariah Carey's was released today. She told me Walmart won't stock a CD until midnight today, no matter when the release date was, today or tomorrow. So, I left empty handed. I will be going to Best Buy tomorrow to buy my copy. I also received an email stating something in the pre-order wasn't available, but my order shipped and will be here Wednesday, so I don't know what that's about. However, I thought with pre-orders, you got them the day it was released. Sure Wednesday is around the corner, but still. Anyone else having trouble with this?

She who shall remain nameless (53,507) by Abraham from USA
Why are some of you so upset about her? As [censored] Stacey would say "It ain't that deep." Everyone should know that she's jealous of Mariah. She'll never have a voice, Mariah's number of hits or legendary status. People forget that if Selena never passed "you know who" would have been a back up dancer for a no name artists lol. Let her be as salty and as rude as she wants to be. Same goes for the loser sisters.

I got the same message today after being told my order had been shipped a few days ago. It's very confusing. I might call them just to clarify.

Yeah Ethan, I got the same email on the 18th at 22:58 CET. Don't worry though, this is by all accounts a good thing IMO. Tell you what though, I'm surprised so few lambs picked up on the big and small hints Team Mariah has been dropping left and right lately. It's only a matter of following the breadcrumbs. I refrain from going into great detail firstly because it's tedious and somewhat difficult to explain what triggers a gut feeling in me and secondly because I know it's not only friendly ears listening in on our conversations. So not knowing what were intentional slips of tongue from Mariah and Co. and what perhaps were glitches in the matrix I wouldn't sabotage a project or jeopardise anyone's standing by blabbing about something I found out on my own just because. To be 100% clear, no one has leaked anything to me.

JLo throwing shade (53,503) by Ty from USA
Pics are surfacing that she was texting during Mimi's performance. Now the beehive would storm her page with bee's, maybe the lambs should do butterflies on her IG. She's a shady tranny.

LA (53,502) by B from USA
After reading LA's comment about Mariah I think he doesn't have faith in Mariah which is sad because she's clearly still interested in her career and an American songbook album is not going to work for MC or her fans. Who does he think she is, Frank Sinatra?

VOL slayage (53,501) by Marissa from USA
Damn I wish she would have sang it like this at the BBMAs. I love when she does the bluesy/jazziness at the end of the song. Slay Mimi.

#1 To Infinity is doing well (53,500) by Travon..SweetSweetFantasy from USA
Mariah Carey is on fire. She is still rising up iTunes and Amazon. She is #19 (+10) on Amazon USA. In iTunes USA she has risen to #36 (+2) and has risen back to #12 (+3) iTunes UK. What makes this more impressive is it's the evening and she has been climbing all day. This trend is great considering Mariah usually goes top 10 in morning and then falls out by evening. She needs another OK performance tonight on Kimmel but she will go top 10 if she gives more than OK. As an artist I am sure she is fully aware of the fact she is trending and needs a great performance tonight. The public has always shown to come through for Mariah Carey when she is on point. If she does great, well, it will be #1 To Infinity.

Jono / Lee TS (53,499) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Jono, don't you worry darling, the little fake lipped brat and her sister got what they deserved by the end of the show, when they got up on stage to introduce their "brother-in-law" (whom they are by the way using to get into the A-list zone, fooling him by feeding his ego so that he does everything in his power to get them to the A list). Anyways so when they went on stage to introduce Kanye, they were booed so loud by the audience. TMZ has a recording but apparently the boos were heard louder by people seating in the audience who called if "deafening". So karma didn't take long to teach them a lesson. They got what they had coming for disrespecting a legend. Lee TS, yes Lee, that and even other snippets from throughout the night were mind blowing and MC effortlessly went on a vocal circus. This is what I meant in my last post and the contrast couldn't be clearer. Same night, within a matter of hours, MC goes from impressive to spectacular singing the same song. Our girl still has fight left in her.

JLo on Mariah BBMA performance (53,497) by ADAM from USA
Give me a break. JLo gave a respectful round of applause and smile when the camera was on her after MC's performance. There was nothing shady about her behavior. I saw the TMZ footage and what's wrong with scrollling through one's phone during an award show? There was no disrespect. Stop trolling for responses and just let these two women be. Why can't either one of these women attend the same event without fans from either camp pitting one against the other. In reality, they may hate each other however everyone is entitled to their own beliefs but as viewers and fans, why do we have to engage in sexist behaviors that do nothing but reinforce negative stereotypes about women in the industry.
