Happy (44,060) by Sasha from Nomansland
I wasn't expecting so much greatness. This album is like a soft caress to my ears. It's sweet, soulful and emotional. I've been waiting for songs like Cry, Camouflage, Make It Look Good, Faded for years and then it happened. All songs are good. I might be the only one who likes One More Try, actually in the original version I find difficult to distinguish the melody of the song and with this cover it's more clear to me. I also think that she will probably release another album within two years because she probably has a lot of new material under her sleeve.

"Money" and "One More Try" (44,059) by Geronimo from USA
I really like "One More Try" following "Money" because Mariah uses the cutest most innocent tone I've ever heard from her in those two songs. I am glad she doesn't use that tone in most of her songs because that would annoy me. But I appreciate this tone on those two songs because it matches the sentiment of both songs. At first I didn't love her rendition of One More Try because I thought she should have used a deeper, warmer tone. Now I think I get what she is trying to convey. Simply genius.

Edward (44,058) by Marcel from Montréal, Canada
I kind of feel the same. Those 2 tracks are a mess. About Walter they didn't work. Sofia announced they were about to but then it didn't happen. Walter said he was asked by Randy to work with Mariah and he said yes. but that he didn't know what happened because the plan never materialized. Sure we all know what happened, maybe that's one of the reasons Randy got "fired", unless Walter and MC are the best on keeping it secret. I guess what Walter said on that radio interview is true: he'd really like to work with her but she doesn't feel the need. We all know pride and ego are big in our girl and I don't think she's giving up on her absurd idea that Walter is a traitor just because he wanted to keep his job. Anyway, it'd be a dream come true for me and to a lot of us - you know, we the haters - to have them reunite. Walter is the best and can do almost every single kind of music from Hero to So Blessed to To Be Around You to Do You Think Of Me to Savage Garden's Affirmation album. So saying Walter is a step back is ridiculous. His only sin seems to be white and to have given her her best songs. Love them together.

Re: Edward and Licia (44,057) by Isabelle from USA
I'm not sure about she saved those songs for a different album. She did many songs during the Charmbracelet era like the Wedding song, Satisfy featuring Michael Jackson. I don't know if she actually worked with Walter, the way they ended things. Reasons why I think she is not going to use them for a later album is because she usually doesn't save material for another project. She only saved Close My Eyes since her Music Box era because she never finished it. She didn't save Heartbreaker for it to be release on the Glitter soundtrack. She chose to discard those songs due to the fact that the album started going to another direction. But I hope one day we will be able to listen to them. I know they started asking her questions that she has already answered in the past and her personal life. I really wanted to know why Save The Day didn't make in the album at all, she said it was going to be released as a charity song on the album, or the Beautiful dance remix or the remix video.

Track by track (44,056) by RJJ12 from USA
Cry - Loved the vocal climax at the end. The way she sang "Maybe I shoulda held on a little bit longer, but I was seduced by you." The power, the rasp, and emphasis on the word "by" is what soul singing is all about. You feel that line.
Faded - My favorite ballad, very current and bass heavy, yet the lyrics are deep and the big vocals at the end with the multitude of Mariah's.
Dedicated - Love this laid back track, and James Fauntleroy's backgrounds.
Thirsty - Nice club song, still doesn't beat ILT.
Make It Look Good - I wanted an old school track and I got it.
Don't Know What To Do - Top notch, from the intro (minus Wale), the lyrics, the singing, and the beat. JD has been vindicated.
Supernatural - The vocals when she raises the key at the end are so good. One of my favs.
Meteorite - Hasn't had a song like this as an album track that wasn't a reprise or a remix. Experimental with a message for those here today gone tomorrow Meteorites. Madonna inspired, they need to duet this since they are both legends.
Camouflage - The lyrics are very deep and give us a peak into Mariah's heart and soul in 2014 much like Looking In, Outside, and Petals.
Money - The most experimental, it starts off with a smooth sung melodic verse, to a rap sung spare hook, to Fabs rap, to her ending the song with jazzy styled vocals.
OMT - Too pretty sounding, I wish she used more soul on this one, and her vocals sound way to high at the end.
Heavenly - Wished she would have wrote an original gospel number.

BGK / IAW (44,055) by Edward from USA
After listening to "Betcha Gon' Know" and "It's A Wrap", I can say I'm truly happy "The Angel's Advocate" album never saw the light of day. I won't ever ruin the great experience of listening to MIAM with those two tracks at the end, it would mess up the journey. I tried it and they ruined the moment for me at the end. So, I place the "Art of Letting Go" right before Heavenly, delete "BGK" and "IAW", and I'm in heaven. As I had said before, Mariah didn't give us most of the best songs she had recorded for this album. I truly think that she'll be releasing another album soon within a year or two. She definitely went in session with Walter, his daughter was called a liar for confirming it, but she defended herself by stating that her father had told her so, and that he told her it was ok to talk about it. I also think that the duets with R Kelly and Stevie Wonder were saved for another project.

Some personal observation for the new album (44,052) by Panos from Greece
After hearing the album for a second time I can clearly say that it's a solid, very good and impressive album. I can definitely hear it with pleasanse. I just wanted to express some personal observation for some songs on the album. Two-three songs were lacking something (someway, somehow). For example I would like ''Cry'', which is one of her best ballads in years, to have a slightly more pop production. I mean I was expecting during the second minute of the song for some pop drum beats to appear. They would be reminiscent of her nineties powerhouse ballads. I also expected Beautiful to be more extended, perhaps a version with intro just like that of BET Awards. I was hoping that we would be able to hear the Beautiful dance resung remix too. Furthermore, I hoped that I could hear one more latin-pop ballad like that leak we heard 3 weeks ago and of course a powerful dance or ballad one pop-rock song. A song with her passionate growls accompanied with high belting and rock whistling is really missing from the album. Then, I wish Mariah or someone else, will remove Wale's talking-clearing throat-clapping from YDWDT intro. Last but not least, I hope that someday we will get to hear country inspired ''Hope street' 'and inspirational ''Save the day''. Never say never (Mary J. Blige anyone). Finally, I hope that someday she will cover Donna Summer's "Be myself Again". It really suits Mariah's life. They had the same problems with their labels pushing them to be someone else. Mariah will nail it instantly.

Thirsty, next single? (44,051) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Mariah seems to think so. She calls it her next single on twitter. So has it been finalized? After that post there is no mention of it.

G.G. (44,050) by Twisterman from Brazil
I think the Billboard gives a lot of credit to Mariah, maybe not enough. But the Grammy and MTV swallow her dry. I think there's a lot behind, connections between the music industry and them. Who knows?

Cry. (44,049) by TR from USA
I completely believe that this song is the best thing I've heard from her vocally since Lead The Way. This song is brilliant. There is no other song on the album in my opinion that has the depth of emotion like this one, and I find it remarkable that while ordinarily a song like this would close an MC album, this one opens it. I honestly think that's why I'm slightly underwhelmed with the rest of album (don't get me wrong, the production is miles above E=MC2 and MOAIA) - she starts out on such an incredible vocal that there is just no surpassing it with the remaining 13+ songs. Cry sounds like its meant for the 60s/70s. The whole album is just so amazingly retro, rolling the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, and 10s into one great package. And I love reading comments here where people say certain songs feel like some obscure cut from Emotions or Mariah Carey or Music Box (Meteorite gives me a bit of the Daydream Interlude or Fly Away Interlude). She studied herself for this one, and for that I really, really appreciate her effort (I won't comment on One More Try ).

Isabelle (44,048) by Licia from USA
The fans on Twitter were really ticking me off with those stupid questions. There were so many good questions, but they got drowned out by the stupidity. It seemed to me like iTunes and Mariah abruptly stopped the questioning after a few fan questions. Did you notice that?

Make It Look Good (44,047) by Bill from the UK
I cannot stop playing Make It Look Good. This is the best Mariah Carey song I have ever heard. And I'm one of those untouchable 90s pro-Afanasieff fans lol. Stevie Wonder's harmonica playing has that pure celestial and distinctive beauty it has on his own recordings. The song sounds retro and modern. The vocals, the harmonies. Can you believe that when I was listening through the album, I reached this song and immediately hit the repeat button, and continued listening to it about 10 tens before getting to the rest of the album. That has never happened to me before. This song is so fine, so divine, and so, so sublime.

#Beautiful / You're Mine (44,045) by Gilbert from USA
I know it's probably not important but does anyone else remember Mariah saying there was a slightly longer version for both these songs? I know for sure on YM, Beautiful I'm about 99% sure she also said it would be a bit longer. I guess none of us would really know how it really works in the business, unless were in it you know? Anyway, I was just curious about that.

Old tracklist and Billboard (44,044) by G.G. from USA
Re: Dan, yes, I think that a lot of the original material was left off the album. Not sure if that was completely Mariah's decision or the label said they wouldn't release it. Re: Billboard, I sometimes think that whoever is in charge of Billboard doesn't really like Mariah. I get the same feeling about the Grammy awards.

Billboard review / the lamb spilling the tea / ask Mariah (44,043) by Isabelle from USA
I can't believe Billboard gave the album a 77/100 rating, her second best rating from her last 3 studio albums. They give Britney Jean a 76, Shakira (album) a 88 and Beyonce 90. I like Shakira the artist but her last album was her worst. I was shocked to see the rating for MIAMTEC. They spent more time criticizing her ways in life than the actual album. When Jermaine posted and retweeted the article from that lamb that spend so much money to get this album, it got me thinking that her team or/and her weren't satisfied how the label are handling the release of the album. She also mentioned in an article that artists aren't going to need labels to release their music and she admires how Prince was doing it. So it's making me believe that she may go indie by the next album. And there were some lambs asking her the wrong questions to her that didn't give us insight for the album. Like "How are dem puppie?" or other relevant questions about this album. So what do you guys think?

To be honest, thoughts (44,042) by clueey23 from USA
This era, I couldn't really care less about sales or hits. The music on this album is beyond everything that is being put out in the industry. I think I wanna sit back and just enjoy the masterpiece that is MIAMTEC. I couldn't care less about Billboard, anyone who gives Jennifer Lopez a music icon award has lost credibility. Some folks just don't want to face the fact that MIAMTEC is beyond anything on "Beyonce". And speaking of Beyonce, Billboard would still have my respect if at least Beyonce received that icon award. I am in love with the album as a whole, but "You make the beat go" gets me everytime. I adore "Supernatural".

The Art of Letting Go (44,041) by Dan from UK
Does anybody find this article intriguing? Many brush the track listing off as fake, but the first four songs all made it onto Chanteuse, it also lists Hope Street and Save the Day which Mariah spoke of, and of course TAOLG. I wonder if there was indeed an entirely different album way back in 2012, which was either rejected by the label, or shelved because Mariah had a sudden change in creative direction, and the best tracks were kept over for the new album which we are all enjoying now. The mind boggles.

Attitude Magazine review (44,040) by Martyn from England, UK
Hey guys, I wrote a track by track review of the new album for Attitude Magazine. You can view it online on the website. (I presume I'm not allowed to post a link here?) I hope you all like it. I was very honest, and my writing style is very tongue in cheek so please try not to be offended when I send Mariah up, it's all in jest, and I've written countless articles about how fabulous she is for various other publications. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the read.

Photoshopped / new album gems (44,038) by Lamb_O_Chop from Australia
Mariah was actually that size when she took those pictures (over a year ago), so people need to get off the overly photoshopped thing. Sure the pics where perhaps enhanced, but no more enhanced than any other pics you see online or magazine covers. She's still gorgeous either way. On another note: I heard the rest of the album and now Cry and Meteorite are my new faves. Meteorite makes me want to show up at her album release party in full disco getup, my own disco ball, and break into a full "Saturday Night Fever" dance routine on the dance floor. "Meteori-ite-ite meteori-te-ite" she knew this would infectious. And hunny lets not even get into that key change in Supernatural.

Casio keyboard (44,036) by Chicago Lamb from USA
It wasn't a Casio keyboard that was used for "Can't let go", it was a Hammond B3 organ that was inspired by "One more try". The Casio keyboard Mariah says she used to write "All I want for Christmas".

Billboard rating (44,035) by Nicole from US
You would think Billboard is supportive of Mariah but guess what, they gave her MIAM a 77% which is a C based on school rating. Everybody else has been praising it like crazy but then again they gave Coldplay's CD an 85 and Michael Jackson a 90. I hope sales will be great.

Re: photoshop argument/ BI article (44,034) by Gloria from Hong Kong
Benjamin Fisher, I' ve read that article too (available link here), and take it as a joke. I appreciate that MC wants to give us her best, and who doesn't want to look good? Besides, it was shot last year, indeed, when her figure was totally perfect. I remember what she said in her acceptance speech when she won the Billboard's artist of the decade award: "Forget the image, forget the ensembles, forget the rumours, forget the short skirts, the big hair, whatever." Forget the arguments. Music is her (and our) saving grace. By the way, a columnist actually went to Germany to get a physical copy of MIAM because he wanted to listen to the new music as early as possible. *Boy you just looking thirsty* You may read it here. I was totally amused by that.
