Album coming soon? (106,758) by Shezz from Pk
That picture looks like her Victoria Secret shoot from last Christmas. They’re just saying what Mariah said herself. Album coming soon.

Album coming soon? (106,757) by Randy from USA
I was scrolling [through] Facebook. A page called Popwave had a post that stated Mariah Carey's album is coming soon. However, there's no article or anything. It is a picture I've never seen before. Anyone wanna tell me is that clickbait?

Tiny Desk (106,756) by Shezz from Pk
I think that is C's well informed opinion based on the last few years' live performances.

She would have nothing here to fall back on, no backing tracks, no play backs and if the last couple of years have showed us anything it's that MC won't perform without them.

Although I 100 percent believe she is capable of giving us a great Tiny Desk performance similar to what she did with Jimmy Fallon for AIWFCIY and the piano impromptu performance. I don't think she's not in good voice, she has lost the confidence in herself and her voice even though she has shown us flashes of it from time to time. Maybe she feels she can't do it at a stretch. It's still a mystery what happens to her during live performances. Maybe it's the perfectionist in her that doesn't want her audience to hear anything off.

@C, why do you say no that MC shouldn't do the Tiny Desk?

The new Heartbreaker harmonies video Mariah posted, is maybe the greatest post she has ever done.

Tiny Desk (106,753) by whisperingmisunderstandings from USA
That would be a good venue for her, because it's a controlled environment, and not a full concert with a big audience. So she could adjust the setlist to her current voice, do a medley instead of full songs, throw in some remixes, etc, whatever she needs to do to feel relaxed. And it's unplugged so her improvisational skills can really shine.

Rainbow Mariah (106,751) by MusicfanJ from Germany
"Rainbow Mariah" was really fun and so humble. As you described it perfectly, she looked so carefree and sweet all the time. How I love the Homecoming special from 99. Plus all the interviews and concerts around the world. The tv appearances and interviews in Italy and UK are wonderful. The one in Japan is the cutest where she gets a robot cat-toy or something like that. Her smile was always heartwarming. I love her looks during "Rainbow era" too. Her natural beauty were always showing. And the Rainbow album was perfect for the ending of the 90ies. That Mariah finished it in 3 months is remarkable. That we now have new remixes is great. I enjoy them a lot.

Thank you, Libra. You all are truly my family. This board has been my outlet to truly be myself. I think I have been a posting member for 21 years and reader for 25 years. It has really been fun along way. I know my predictions were a little crazy anticipating the MIAM era. Lol. I love you all.

Rainbow Mariah (106,748) by Mara from United States
Living through all of Mariah's album releases and "eras" in real time, I've always said that "Rainbow Mariah" always seemed like someone I could be best friends with. So much fun. I don't know if it was the fact that she proved herself since Tommy already with Butterfly or what, but everything during Rainbow was so carefree. No jewelry, fancy dresses, just pure fun and remixes for days. I know the vocals were not perfection but that's what I loved. The organic rasp was everything. She just seemed so carefree not to mention we got the best live performances and acceptance speeches ever from #1's leading into Rainbow. FunRiah is what I remember during that time. Not to mention she was always a trendsetter. Having Jay-Z on Heartbreaker when she had the song "How Much" with Usher and it sampling Tupac "Me and My Girlfriend" way before J and Beyonce. She always was ahead of the game or shall I say industry.

I'm currently loving the "Can't Take That Way" remix. It's like it just hits differently released now this summer.

Rainbow's End vocals (106,746) by Mara from United States
Yes. I love it too and it def has some 70's disco sound to it. My sister who was raised in the 70's said it gave her Donna Summer vibes. Queen of 70's disco, lol. I love the positive, uplifting sound to the remix. Ty MC for gifting this to the public, especially your fans who lived through Rainbow and always wished it were a full song.

Tiny Desk (106,745) by Bobby A from United States
If her latest Instagram post is any indication of what she can do now without any studio tricks, then I believe she would crush a Tiny Desk concert this year. How does NPR commission artists to do a Tiny Desk concert?

That’s right. The only acceptance that matters is your own. Other people’s opinions, family included, do not matter. No one lives their life according to us so why should we do the same? Choose yourself, every time.

Go and check out Mariah's latest Instagram post where she shows us all the different vocals sung in Heartbreaker. I always knew how involved MC was in the creation of every part of her songs. But to see something visual really hammers home how truly talented, a once in a generation talent, Mariah Carey. Wow. Just wow.

Tiny Desk is the new MTV Unplugged. Everyone has been on there and it is very popular. You guys think MC would do the Tiny Desk? It could be great promo and she would have to sing 100% live. No vocal tracks allowed.

Possibly. I think she has a very skewed outlook on her catalogue. It's why she has beaten MC to death.

The insider account on X. Though of course it cannot be taken as concrete verified information. Most of the things they have said have been right so far. MC seems to be in a similar space she was during The Art of Letting Go and MIAM era. Revisiting her ideas and concept over and over. I hope she does not over think and lose the spark of spontaneity. She probably has 3 albums worth of material ready by now. So curious to hear her talk about this album and its process when it's finally done. Robert Anthony - What you seek is seeking you.

Very true, lol. But I gotta say I admire those who are unapologetically true to themselves than those who go with what's popular. That's how I life my life.

Anyway, Rainbow was never a huge favorite of mine. However, even if an album doesn't grab me as a whole, there are always those songs I love that make me grateful she put out that album.

Heartbreaker (esp. Heartbreaker/Love Hangover)
Can't Take That Away
Crybaby
