Drinking (41,259) by You Want This from United States I love Mariah so much, musically and personally. Recently, however, I've become really concerned for her. She's doing interviews and she's being funny as usual, but she seems detached from reality. I've felt for sometime that it may be possible Mariah has a drinking problem. I feel as if she constantly has a glass in her hand and is mumbling something about "splashes". I really want to see her emerge as the butterfly she truly is, but she has got to get herself together. She's ruining her image and it kinda feels like 2001 all over again. (Friday 14 February 2014; 0:37)

Mariah's interviews (41,258) by Gilbert from USA I've always loved her but my oh my she just rambles. I don't recall her doing that in the past. I had to force myself to watch the whole MTV special because I was curious to know what she has plans, but this woman cannot answer simple questions then would be jumping between stories. I adore her, I really do, but you think someone would bring it to her attention. If I was a friend and someone who worked for her and cared, I'd ask if everything is okay. Ian Hawkes (41,257) by Ms. Giselle from USA Honey, Drunk In Love did have a storyline. Beyonce was being a drunk in love lol. Her and Jay were drinking and have fun being in love aka drunk in love lol. She let loose and did dance and have fun. That video (I'm not a fan of the song) but you got to admit the graphics and video is sexy for B. We don't expect Mariah to dance. The problem is her videos are all the same for a long time now. They all show how beautiful she is, usually her sitting/standing in one way, shot on the one side. Look at My All, that video was sexy and was part "vanity", but it still is a hot video. MC (41,256) by J from USA I'm gonna get thumbed down again, but Mariah is becoming predictable. The whole working with a R&B male/rapper is getting tired and old. Mariah needs to think outside the box. Duet with a female artist. Someone like Beyonce, Jennifer Hudson, Toni Braxton, someone. Why can't she? The video was not great. #Beautiful was even better. Charts (41,255) by Darryle from USA You're Mine (Eternal) has fallen to 21 on the iTunes chart. I think that Mariah needs to do a live performance of it like today or else it will continue to fall. I know some people say Arian doesn't care about charts, why should we? Well I think charts are important because if this were Mariah's last album, who wouldn't want it to go out with a big bang? In addition to great music (which I believe she has on this album), she needs the right videos and radio on her side and I'm sure she could easily top the charts again. Bad press (41,253) by Mara from United States I was so excited for yesterday and was up listening to the radio interviews and online watching reactions all day. I have to say I don't know why Mariah seems to be taking the diva attitude to a complete new level. It's almost like we never get to see her "real" anymore. Like someone mentioned before, it is hard for a true Lamb to watch, imagine a non fan. The splashes since the early am is getting uncomfortable to watch. I don't know any other artists out the diva or not that does that. Also I noticed whenever any other female artist gets brought up, Mariah gets defensive or acts strangly. Why? Mariah you have the longevity you brought up when Ariana Grande's name came up. Why not just smile and say "it's flattering or humbling". Her making comments like that make her look insecure. I noticed more than one article today about the "shade" she threw at the Ariana grande comment. The way she is acting is causing nothing good. Her headlines are more about her alchohol, how she is so "loopy", her unstable marriage to Nick, how she fires nannies and how she shows up dressed to her radio interviews. I love Mariah and always will, but I just wish she would tone it down once in a while so we get another side to her. Again, please understand I feel I can say this by being such a longtime fan. "Throwing Nick under the bus" (41,252) by RadChad from United States The thing we all have to remember that Mariah is married to a comedian. Just as Nick feels he has license to joke about their private life, Mariah as his wife also has liscence to joke and say the things she does in response. I seriously doubt Nick is bothered by or take to heart the way Mariah talks about him in interviews. I'm sure it's just the nature of their relationship, it works for them, and Nick actually likes it/finds it hilarious. On another note, I actually still enjoy her crazy interviews, yes she should work on answering questions more straight on without a bunch of unnecessary detail, but she's still engaging and entertaining to watch nonetheless. I still love how festive she is and thought it was cute/hilarious when she spoke about how Roc and Roe sings "I can't seem to..." back to her. That has to be awesome for your youngsters to find you new song naturally catchy. (Thursday 13 February 2014; 22:58)

New album / video (41,251) by G.G. from USA Now that MC has confirmed that the title of the album is no longer TAOLG, I really hope she leaves Triumphant, #Beautiful and The Art Of Letting Go off the album. I hope the 3 new songs she's talked about replace those 3 we've already heard. Regarding the video, I love Mariah, God knows I do, but she needs to step up her game when it comes to videos. We get it Mariah, you're pretty, enough glamour shot/magazine spread videos. Do something. Dance, run, walk, something. Stop sitting and or laying there looking pretty. Someone else already said this. I think it would be awesome if in one of her videos she would transform into a butterfly. (Thursday 13 February 2014; 22:47)

So much to discuss: Mariah's media frenzy (41,250) by RadChad from United States I'll start with the video. I thought it was beautifully and very tastefully shot. As a future director and visionary, I agree with Mariah herself, I would've gotten more beautiful shots of the rainforest. I also would've also had MC work the forest a bit more, dramatically strut down a trail, possibly sit in a tree (with over the top precaution ofcourse) the list goes on. I also agree with the person that stated the butterfly wings should've been larger, and I would've like to have seen her take off (I know dangerous, but with extreme caution). That's just me though. I really hope to work with Mariah ASAP, I would definitely take her natural essence and extended it to another level. I do hope the remix video has more of a storyline. I was hoping she would do videos that all connect together in a storyline this era (like ILT and WBT). At this point we're all aware that having a great video could do wonders for video nowadays with YouTube. (Thursday 13 February 2014; 22:18)

You guys are seriously satisfied with nothing. Videos don't have to have major storylines. Mariah's talents exceeds a lot of other artists out there. I think in her interviews she is hilarious and always makes me laugh. She's very real and plays the diva card as a laugh. Divas are outlandish and jovial. She plays it perfectly and she seems like a chick I'd like to have a splash with. Don't be so serious. She's also a human being and has a Mariah personality. Mariah has longevity and her stats are actually amazing. A living legend. (Thursday 13 February 2014; 22:15)

Recent interviews / what's going on Mimi? (41,248) by Jamie from UK As much as I like the new single, I have to agree with all these observations of Mariah's behaviour lately. Her diva-ness has increased to the point where her "humour" is coming across more arrogant than playful. It's like a self fulfilling prophecy has taken place. She once laughed when people called her a diva, but now she has become one no doubt. And it's possible that all that alcohol is taking its toll on her coherence; she doesn't seem to be able to have a straightforward conversation anymore without rambling. It's making her uncomfortable to listen to. I love Mariah to death, but I'm a little worried about her. (Thursday 13 February 2014; 21:44)

From a non lamb (41,246) by Me. I am Carly from USA I forced my hubby (who is only vaguely aware of current Mariah) to watch the new video and he was annoyed because we had to turn off "Scandal". He said to me after viewing "I just don't get it, she looks sexy, but why is she holding her breasts the whole time? And who is that guy in the video?" I am Carly from USA I honestly believe she is feeling entitled and you know people do that like Patti Labelle, but on Mariah it looks strange because you can see the angst and insecurity right through her. In the MTV interview she said she had been up since six (splashes didn't help) so maybe part the issue including diet (she is tiny right now). I think she wishes she didn't have to do the circuit. I think she resents not being home with dem babies and Nick being around for comfort. Who knows, maybe her hormones are changing? Mariah is reading posts or her people are (41,244) by Me. I am Carly from USA It seems very clear to me that Mariah is aware of what the lambs and others are saying. I.E. when she was doing the MTV interview she kept saying "Wait, what was the question?" and trying to spiral back to it. She also said she wasn't trying to throw Nick under the bus, which people have been posting about being bothered by. Another thing she said is that she is trying to be real and please fans so I think that is her dilemma. I do think she has a hard time pleasing her own standards and those of others. And they make catchy music, music you can dance to but also feel. Mariah's stuff is predictable right now, you'd think she'd take it into a different direction. In character? (41,241) by Matthew from USA Is Mimi "in character" for all these interviews? I know people expect her to be a diva, and in the past she has played into rumors in a tongue in cheek way. In those days it seemed like she was aware of her diva reputation and she would playfully indulge during interviews. Lately, however, it seems as though she has pretty much bought into her own image fully. So my question is this. Do you think she's in character and consciously being a diva? Do you think she's just full out drunk? (It seems unlikely.) Or do you think this is just who she is now? I used to think she was just in on the joke, but every single interview seems to bring the same difficult diva antics so maybe it's just how she is now. But then I will see an interview with Oprah (who she can't pull that BS with) and she seems fully grounded. So what gives? I really feel like we need to see the grounded Mariah who can sit and explain her process without being an outlandish diva. That Mariah needs to make an appearance at least once for this to be a success. Maybe it will take an Oprah sit down for us to see that Mariah again. (Thursday 13 February 2014; 20:21)

(41,239) by Christy from USA I'm curious to know if any other lambs have been hearing You're Mine (Eternal) on the radio in their area (especially big markets like New York, L.A, Atlanta, etc). I've requested it on 2 different stations in my area but only one has played it. If we can get it on the radio in bigger markets, it would get more attention, thus creating more downloads. You're Mine, interviews (41,238) by Joe from United Kingdom I like both versions of the new song, it's not something completely different from her previous work but I still really enjoy the song. I think with Mariah it's about finding that perfect balance between keeping her sound but with a current take on it. Some fans want 90's Mariah or the more urban Mariah or pop with a splash of hip hop. I think the only way she can cater to all of those audiences is with the album so she can cover all different bases in terms of music. In regards to the music video, it's nothing ground breaking, it's pretty much what I thought it would be, so I'm not upset over it. I have noticed Mariah does seem abit manic in interviews like she's just thinking all the time. If its not about lighting, it's about being caught on your bad side, it's the repetition of how hard the pregnancy was, Nick talking too much, but in all honesty the people interviewing her go over the same old subjects. She must get bored. In terms of her radio interview at the Breakfast club, their chats are usually abit crazy anyway or the guest usually gets ridiculed the whole time. Is Mariah having a champagne problem? (41,237) by Anonymous from You know what I think. Sad but Mariah is an alcoholic, she´s always having those "splash moments" and yesterday was enough. It was like 9 am and she was drinking champagne (give me some hot chocolate for this polar winter). I mean I can understand that it was a cool day, you know releasing her new single but please in the last years I can see her in videos and pictures with her glass of champagne. It put so much pressure under her shoulders, she always has to look good, she feels that she has to be perfect and that is what is taking her to the alcohol. Interviews (41,236) by Ben from United States Yeah, Mariah does seem to get a bit incoherent and maybe even a little rude in interviews these days. But at the same time, the interviewers ask her the same damn questions over and over. "How is Nick?", "What about American Idol?", "How are the kids?" I would get irritated and bored as well if people couldn't come up with more creative questions to ask. Plus, it also seems like she did a ton of interviews in a short period of time. It was #1 in 30 other countries. America is not the whole world. Record companies are not what they were. Beyonce had issues, Gaga had issues. "The art of letting go" was not a single. There's a difference in being honest and not liking all Mariah does and being out right nasty or negative is dumb. If I was her I wouldn't want almost any of u as fans (you don't own her or make her, yes she needs fans but you guys are so negative and opinionated forgetting she doesn't owe you anything) she is the gift to us. She is a human being, negativity is not a good thing, honesty is. Some things she's done I don't like either but I'm not ready to say she's old and forget abtou her having another #1. She's freaking Mariah Carey. Respect her. She's in her 40s, so what you guys need to mature abit. So that means Celine, JLo and many others are old hags? No ways. They can teach these kiddies a thing or two. And as far as videos, um hello, Riri and Shakira have no concept Beyonce is drunk in love with no concept but still on heavy rotation. Just relax people and try positive energy for a change. You are lucky to be living in the era of Mariah Carey. Life is short. Now just stop being nasty as it's not constructive.
