I agree, Deedre (37,521) by Stacey from USA No artist will ever touch Mariah's numbers, especially the 200 million records sold. With the way the industry has changed, I think her title as the best selling female artist is quite secure. Mariah will always make music, but we may not get an album every two years. We were very spoiled for many years. Plus, she has accomplished so much, it's almost like now she is making music for herself and her fans without worrying if that song will achieve that #1 status. Know what I mean? Further, if Mariah wants to work on her family and take time off, that is ok too. She is human, not the robot singing factory she endured in the 90s (i.e. sing, sing). Just my humble opinion (37,520) by Deedre aka MiTodoChop @HBF from Canada I hardly think an album should take priority over children. I know some fans are worried about her career, but right now I think that worry has been blown way out of proportion. I don't think everything is a doom and gloom as has been being painted around here lately. Her album releases have slowed, but honestly as a fanbase we've been spoiled by Mariah's work ethic over the last 20+ years. If she and her husband are planning additions to their family, then that's their business, and my feeling is if that's what they want to do, they probably have reasons for doing it while the twins are still young. That's understandable. I'd caution from counting MC out of the music industry. Honestly, people do know that the triumphs Mariah has accomplished musically are never going to happen again, right? Even if an artist ties her for 18 #1's, nothing comes close to the stats Mariah has achieved. That's the truth. I mean, she wasn't even on Idol very long and her Greatest Hits album re-entered the Billboard charts lol. The general public may not be diehard lambs, but Mariah hasn't gone anywhere. She's still a force. It's ok by be if she isn't as married to her career right now and wants to focus on her family. Crank up Mariah's tunes, relax a little. (Sunday 7 April 2013; 21:10)

Mariah pregnancy, etc (37,517) by Stacey from USA Deciding to get pregnant is a serious issue. It's not stupid either. Mariah knows what is best for her and her family. I've carried one kid at a time (have two kids) and one child was tough enough. To carry twins? I can't imagine the toll that took on her body. I can see where Nick is coming from too. It would be a strange situation seeing someone else carry your child. But, surrogacy is sometimes a couple's only option. Look at Guiliana (from E! News) and Bill Rancic who after G's breast cancer saw surrogacy as a way to have a child of their own. Either way, I hope they make the best decision for their family. If another child is in their future, that is great. If not, then that's ok too. (Sunday 7 April 2013; 3:34)

Mariah's Idol look (37,513) by Chase from USA I just wanted to say that, while I only occasionally catch Idol, I've been happy with Mariah's appearance and participation. She's been looking really good, regardless of cleavage controversy. After all, low cut outfits have been part of the package since 1997. She looks youthful, healthy, and clearly happy. I haven't seen her looking this good since E=MC2, when she was also clearly happy. I am glad her family life is going so well. I think being a mother is the most important job in her life, and she and her music will grow as a result. Also, I enjoy her commentary and emotional connection with the contestants. She talks about her experiences in the industry without making it all about her. Overall, perhaps this isn't the best career move, but it isn't hurting her, and it's a great way for her to get public attention and show she's got something good to say. Performing live on Idol (37,506) by Lee from UK I agree with the person who said Mariah is looking amazing lately. She is still dropping the pounds and looks extremely healthy. I think Keith gave a great live performance on Idol this week. With the type of music he does and the fact he plays the guitar, any bad notes he hits are forgiveable. If Mariah eventually performs on Idol, the public will not forgive a single note out of place. Not after 12 years of people citing her as their major influence and 12 years of comparisons on Idol. The fans will always be Mariah's harshest critics, but for the people who have paid her no attention until this season of Idol, I would imagine they have higher expectations of her than we do after all of the hype. Mariah really moved me last night (37,504) by Deedre aka MiTodoChop @HBF from Canada The way she was standing in ovation when Miss Aretha Franklin had a message for contestant Kree and being overcome with emotion for Devin. I know MC gets picked on for being a diva, but underneath that part of her celebrity for me lies the sensitivity of someone who relates to people on a deep level, has a genuine heart, and the desire to make a difference in the lives of people. I don't think Mariah refused to acknowledge her birthday, because of being uncomfortable about it. I think she is just simply refusing to make anything on the show about her. She knows this is a special time for the contestants, and doesn't want to take away from that. Hence why she downplayed her version of "Don't play that song for me". I love Mariah's version, nobody else can cover it like she did IMHO. And it's also the reason she carefully clarified her reason for suggesting "I'll be there" for Angie Miller, because she knows certain people would assume that was an ego based recommendation, but it wasn't. I actually feel for NM. There are certain shots she doesn't know the camera is on her, and she looks so unhappy. Hopefully with time she'll be able to let go of some of that anger inside. Her refusal to acknowledge the B-word even after a lot of people greeted her was priceless. Poor Kree. It was really embarrassing. Nicki was put in her place. Hahaha. But there was a shade on her "queen" comment. She doesn't treat Mariah as a queen". Well, tonight was wonderful. Mariah's tears upon Devin's elimination was really moving. My wife shed tears as well.
