Videos (36,616) by Geezy from USA by way of NYC
I have to also agree with Stacey and Edward. Mariah's videos have left a lot to be desired as of late. We already got the I'm sexy look at me vibe for 15 years now, it's much expired now. We need growth with the music and the videos. If not, MC will only ruin her legacy she worked so hard to build and establish.

Right! Justin wouldn't have added anything to that song IMO. Plus, I heard a rumour that Justin's people didn't really want him to do (or release) it because Mariah wasn't considered to be "on fire" during that period. Flash forward to the Mimi era, rumour had it that he was now interested in releasing the song. SMH. I'm glad Mariah didn't agree to it. Moving on, I absolutely loved Aaliyah (since day one) and always wondered if MC had any influence on her singing style. A duet between the two would've been heavenly.

Glee: the music of Mariah Carey (36,614) by Edge McQueen from Philippines
Eversince the first season of Glee, I have always fantasized of a whole episode dedicated to the one and only Mariah Carey. The only Mariah song the Glee cast has sung is AIWFCIY. **sigh** I hope when AI starts, Fox will cook up a Mariah episode on Glee. There are a lot of songs to choose from with Mariah having one of the most extensive catalogues in music. It'll be fun for sure. Lovin' MC long time!

Mariah trilogy (36,613) by Edge McQueen from Philippines
For years, I have always loved and enjoyed Mariah's (intentional/unintentional) desire to create sequels to her love songs from different albums. I tend to create short playlists of these songs and listen to them and make a story out of them, like a movie or something. Here are some of the few Mariah trilogies on my list.
1. Underneath The Stars - Fourth of July - Bliss
2. My All - After Tonight - I Only Wanted
3. We Belong Together - Don't Forget About Us - I Stay In Love
4. My Saving Grace - Fly Like A Bird - I Wish You Well
5. The Roof - Lullaby - (TBA)
6. Shake It Off - Cruise Control - Up Out My Face
I wonder if you guys have your own MC trilogy on your playlist? Lovin' MC long time!

All I Want For Christmas (36,612) by Geezy from USA by way of NYC
It's about that time of year again time to dust off the Christmas tunes and Mimi is on deck. All I Want For Christmas will be on blast once again. Did you guys know that Ceelo Green remade AIWFC for his upcoming holiday album? That goes to show how smart of a business woman Mariah really is. Those royalty checks must be awesome in the Carey-Cannon household during the holiday season.

John / Edward (36,611) by Stacey from USA
You are dead on with your comments. Plus, if fans do call you out, it's because they know what you are saying is true, but can't openly admit it, lol. Like Edward said about the videos, there needs to be good promotion, but you can't promote louzy videos. Enough of the bathing suits on the beach. You can put out a fun video of her riding in the car (Emotions), at Camp Mariah swinging on a tire (ABMB), etc. You don't need a specific storyline ala Heartbreaker, Obsessed, or WBT. It just needs to be something other than her lying on a beach. I loved IBLYLT and that video killed any hopes the song had at doing well. It was so cheap and far below MC's calibar as an artists. I like Nick, but he needs to stop directing her videos, lol. MC needs someone who doesn't live with her, lol.

Edward/quality of recent albums and videos (36,610) by John from USA
I know what you mean. Most of her videos lately have been garbage. All she does is do the same MySpace poses and touches her breasts. No meaning behind them at all. She's become like a cartoon version of herself. I feel like she's just completely lost her way with her career. I'm hoping and praying that her next album isn't a snoozefest like MOAIA and actually gets good promotion (besides her just being on AI). I feel like this next album will make or break her. If she has any aspirations to remain somewhat relevant and score even another top 10 radio hit or two, this next album can't flop. And she needs to consistently promote it, unlike the last 2 studio albums. I'm sure there are a lot of fans on here that will call me out for being negative, but I know Mariah is capable of much higher quality music and videos that she has come out with lately. I'm still getting over her audacity (that's right, audacity) to release the main version of "Triumphant" as a single (where she was the featured artist). I hope all the hate she got for that was a wake up call.

Duets that never were (36,609) by nikki from usa
I'd be interested to hear Mariah's duet with Luis Miguel of After Tonight before her duet with Justin Timberlake on Yours. Yuck, like listening to hurricane vocalist Mariah whipping mosquito Justin in the wind. That song should remain solo. I'm just bummed she never got to duet with Aaliyah before she passed.

Whatever happened to concept videos? (36,607) by Edward from USA
I miss Mariah with meaningful videos like "Butterfly" or "Through the Rain". I'm tired of Mariah videos lying down, caressing her boobs, I mean, her hair and face. She could do that, but a story line would be very nice. "We Belong Together" and "It's Like That" were nice videos too.

John/I Only Wanted (36,606) by Edward from USA
John, you're so on point about the lyrics on I Only Wanted. The parts of that song you quoted are the epitome of great writing. I always loved the lines: "Farewell, fairweather friend abandonment returns to taunt me again" and "Foolishly I romanticized someone was saving my life for the first time". I might be wrong, but I think Mariah wrote it all by herself. I think she has lost confidence in writing on her own. On Butterfly, most songs were written by Mariah only. You can tell the difference, because she seems to connect better when she dominates the song on the writing process. She should go back to basics.

I Only Wanted / massage (36,605) by Stacey from USA
The thing I like about this song is that she's not whispering all through the song. She's using all facets of her voice, which is where I think she is at her best. 8 hour massage? Who knows if that's true? Gosh, when I want sleep, I just pop in some ear plugs and close my eyes. I'm not one for strangers rubbing stuff all over my body, lol. But to each their own, right?

I Only Wanted (36,604) by John from USA
Agree with the others on here. I think "I Only Wanted" (and "BOTH") were the only 2 songs from Charmbracelet that I instantly loved the second I heard them. Some say "I Only Wanted" is like "My All" part 2, but I actually think it's better. Amazing lyrics have stayed with me over the years: "Farewell, fairweathered friend, abandonment returns to taunt me again", and "Once more, into the wind the embers scatter and the chill settles in". I love that song.

I Only Wanted (36,603) by Lainsky from Philippines
This single really stands out from CB album for me. It should have been great if it was released instead of "Boy".

Massage (36,602) by Will from England
Wow, they really thought that story through, didn't they? 8-hour massage, I mean c'mon gossipers, think it through a bit before printing it.

M&M (36,601) by Stacey from USA
I agree. I hope someday we get to hear that version of Yours ft. JT. It's so frustrating it's under "lock & key". I love to see I Only Wanted getting some love. It's a great song.

Meriweatherc86 / E=MC2 (36,600) by John from USA
I agree 1000%, and I have always maintained your stance. E=MC2 was a fantastic album, better than the (IMO overrated) TEOM. I sometimes feel like E=MC2 was her last chance to have an epic era. She looked amazing (best she had since 1995), the general public was into her, the album had a strong start and first single... but then she fell off the face of the Earth and released "Bye Bye" as the second single. And promotion quickly became nonexistent. Sigh. If only "Migrate" had been released. I hope she has something good up her sleeve for this next album. Sorry to be negative, but it's hard to be an MC fan right now.

CB Singles (36,599) by M from USA
This is my least fav album, although I love "My Saving Grace", "I only wanted". I always liked "The one" way more than "Boy", but the song that never got the life that should have as a single was "Yours" with Justin Timberlake. If only Jive records would have released it like Mariah wanted at the time.

Charmbracelet 2nd single choice (36,597) by Stacey from USA
CB isn't my favorite album, probably in my bottom 3 of least favorites. However, the album does have some stand out songs and The One is one of them (pun intended, lol). That song would have been a better single choice. The song wasn't as soft as Boy, but provided a variety of Mariah's vocals, which is where I think MC is at her best. Plus, there were some great remixes attached to the song that would have helped. All in all, though, I really don't think it matters. That album was never meant to be anything spectacular chart-wise. It was damage control. After the Glitter debacle and breakdown, putting out an album was the best way to get MC on the talkshows telling her side of the story. The purpose of all that promotion from Mall of America to the Today Show, and her appearance on Oprah was to show the public that Mariah was healthy again, back to making good music. The music from that album was more for MC's therapy during her recovery then for the public at large. That said, it did sell over a million copies which was pretty good 10+ years ago. May not be a fav of mine, but I do enjoy The One, I Only Wanted, Irresistible (no rap version), and TTR.

Stella (36,595) by RibbonB from USA
Yes, mother and daughter are stunning with their stunners on. I just love Dem Babies and I'm sure there has got to be a song or two about these little cuties. Sade (Rae Rae's daughter) said on twitter than Roe is far sighted, so it's good her eyes are being corrected early on.

Mariah and Monroe (36,594) by Stella from Greece
I love the new pics of mother and daughter in NY. Roe is absolutely adorable with her pink glasses and cute ensemble. I wonder if Mariah wrote a song about dem babies to put on the album. That would be lovely.

The One (36,593) by JBfly from USA
I totally agree with some of you guys and gals on this song. When I found out that The One was going to be the next single, I immediately called my local radio stations and requested the song, but luck wasn't on my side. Instead we got Boy. Though I liked Boy, it was no near the quality that The One had. This song will remain one of my favorite from Mariah's catalog. I wish that she'll make another song similar to this one. Peace.

E=MC2 (36,592) by clueey23 from USA
This was a great album. Great timing. Perfect first single. Touch My Body broke records and became MC's 18th #1. The first week sales were some of MC's best numbers ever. MC made a splash on SNL with TMB and Migrate with T-Pain. And then on Oprah with Bye Bye. But again, single choices messed up the rest of the era. Marriage or not. There was soo much more potential for this album. Singles should've been:
1. Touch My Body
2. Bye Bye on AC and Migrate to every other format
3. I Stay In Love
4. I'll Be Lovin' You Long Time/I'm That Chick
5. Love Story on Urban
(Tuesday 23 October 2012; 16:04)
Charmbracelet (36,591) by clueey23 from USA
I think "The One" would've stood out more at the time because "Boy" was already huge with Cam'Ron alone. Singles should've been:
1. Through the Rain on Top 40/Pop/AC/Dance and the remix with Kelly Price and Joe on R&B and Urban
2. The One/ The One (remix)
3. Boy
4. I Know What You Want
5. Bringing on The Heartbreak
6. Miss You

Enwar/Charmbracelet (36,590) by Licia from USA
I was so ticked off when they switched the single choice from The One to Boy. I like Boy, but The One is high on my list of favorites from CB. I can't say rather one would have done better than the other. The One was a better choice for me.
