Merry Christmas got two platinum certifications from 2019-2020 bumping it to an impressive 8x platinum. I guess Christmas will reach diamond status first than Mariah Carey which last certification was on December 1999.
It took Daydream 20 years to score another platinum certification.

The 3CD edition is encouraging, as that indicates 1 disc for the album, another for the Thanksgiving audio, and the other for the bonus tracks. I'd imagine it'd include the three tracks from The Rarities, plus the four she's shown on her social media accounts. That leaves plenty of room for other surprises which I am pumped about. Also, the clip on Instagram had footage from the Music Box tour. Could it be, finally, we receive this gem? That is "my prayer".

Wow I can't believe Mariah has another unreleased song from Music Box, apart from All I Live For. I wonder why she didn't put this in The Rarities. Maybe she's saving this for this 30th Anniversary of Music Box. Or maybe this is the new song that she wrote recently and after she sang in the studio, she uses the AI from her Music Box album to make it sound like the voice from that album. Hehe just kidding. I can't wait to hear My Prayer and I hope she releases it as a single with video and promotions.

I am so excited for this news. And wow, a new song from the recording sessions, I can't wait to hear it. And finally, to have the Thanksgiving concert on audio at last. Music Box was my first Mariah album and still to this day remains one of my favourites. It is a beautiful album, thank you Mariah for this gift.

This was a pleasant surprise earlier on today, can't wait for the 8th of September. You guys noticed that out of all the artists, Mariah has one of the most complete representation of her work on YouTube, with the Vevo videos and also even audio, and I'm glad she keeps upgrading the video qualities like this 4K "Dreamlover" video coming soon, so cool actually. Happy 30th Anniversary to "Music Box" one of my all time favorite albums ever.

Well she may have had vocal surgery, which explains the sudden silence. I think it takes a whole month to recover being in total silence (making reference to Adele's case) and her kids are old enough to know how serious the situation is to support her. I do hope it would be successful. Everyone speaks of "95 Mariah" vocally but that's where her voice issues stem from, especially after the world tour.

My heart feels for my girl MC. It must be an awful feeling for someone who has lost his or her gift and not be able do what he or she loves doing? 1995 Mariah would have been in the studio until 6am this morning finishing her album to be released in October. I hope that she can get her gift back.

I think, given representations she has made in the past, that now is about the time when Mariah will be working on Christmas material so is probably holed up. Personally I think there is one more Christmas album to come ("Merry Christmas III" or "M3rry Christmas") if you will. Hopefully it would me more Marc Shaiman-esque with bold strings, bells and horns and includes Sleigh Ride which is quite brilliant. The issue with Merry Christmas II You is that, whereas it has very nice songs, I'm not sure R&B and Christmas... go together? After that, the last album "Debut", then a World Tour. And then write a musical, not a jukebox musical, but an actual musical written from scratch - maybe even with Marc Shaiman.
