On the subjects of tours (103,857) by Andrew from the UK I just watched fan footage of Madonna at the Greenwich O2 with her "Celebration Tour". How obnoxious can you get? I know Madonna had made a career of carrying herself with a superior "smurf you" attitude - but that show is absolutely monolithic in its pretentiousness. I love Ray of Light, Confessions on a Dancefloor, and many random singles from her - she can write a pop song. But she lacks any kind of class, regardless of how much of an English accent she tries to put on. I do not need to see a 60year old woman kissing someone on stage as if this makes her "daring". Like Sam Smith, she's absolutely vulgar. At least Mariah had maintained a level of class (notwithstanding Stella-gate). (Monday 23 October 2023; 21:00)
