Don't forget to stream US fans (101,974) by Edward from USA
Let's see about that. December 24 and 25, in which Marian broke records count towards next week. Marian still has a huge chance to remain at the top. If not, three weeks is good enough for me.

But next week Brenda might take the lead. That's why US fans should keep streaming.

We did it Lambs. MC is number #1 for another week. Is it just me? I heard and saw AIWFCIY everywhere this year from parties to department stores to school programs. Maybe people are really liking MC's it's time videos. This year's video was her best one yet.

AIWFCIY locks another week at #1 (101,970) by Edward from USA
Mariah locks her second week at #1 this year for a total of 11 weeks. Brenda was close, but with Mariah breaking the record of most streamed song ever on Spotify, Brenda didn't stand a chance. Actually, this is the 3rd week at number one for this year.

Darlene and all (101,969) by jaker20 from US
I think Mariah should accept that duet offer and snatch that 20th no.1. With all the controversy, Mariah should reconcile with her around September and generate publicity for the supposed "feud" turned duet lol. Mariah's C(BPCH) version itself is getting more and more popular every year, it just needs a little push.

There's a few other songs Mariah could duet with, like she did with AIWFCIY duets with so many artists over the years. Lambs might not have noticed the duet with Justin Bierber reintroduced the song in a big way to a lot of people 12 years ago, and she should do the same, maybe for either C(BPCH) or another song, because I don't think the Hey Santa duets with Ariana and JHud worked so well. I still love it though.

Article: Is Mariah Carey lying about creation of hit song? (101,968) by jaker20 from US
He is such a liar. Even his interviews, he can't say straight up that he wrote a single word on it. He's talking around it, oh he played this, he played that, he collabed with Mimi, yada yada. He himself said that it was Mariah who would sing "I don't want a lot for Christmas" which became the main melody. He probably just hummed "dadda dada, hmm hmm" and said he co-wrote it. That is because he can't.

It is important for Mariah to tell these stories, to tell the inspiration for the song, because that is what separates her from Walter. Mariah is a story-teller, she tells stories about her youth, about her Christmas experience, and how she loves the season. And all that contributes to the genius of the song.

Inspiration is very important to ownership. Walter has been talking for decades and can't come up with any, because he had none. Does he even like Christmas? Lol.

You know, he is from the time when men controls how women gets credit, and we are better off forgetting people like that.

O Holy Night music video (101,967) by Rashidi Rahim Rick from Malaysia
At the end of 2000, Mariah shot a live music video of O Holy Night at a church, the one where she wore the cute red dress. I was thinking, why is this video so random? My theory was maybe the budget and project to shoot the video was originally for Where Are You Christmas (it was the same time the song by Faith was released) and because Mariah didn't get clearance by Sony to release the song so they thought why not just shot a random video for any song from the Christmas album. I guess they picked O Holy Night because that's the only single that didn't have any official video and later they released it in Japan for the album's limited edition in 2000. Maybe the original plan was to make Where Are You Christmas as bonus track for the re-release Merry Christmas album back then. Such a waste of opportunity and a hit song by Mariah.

MC's sexiest video (101,965) by Bobby A from United States
I was thinking about the male model today in My All. His name is Matt King. He is still modeling today. I would have to say that My All is MC's sexiest video that she has ever made. I may be wrong, so what do the Lambs think?

Don't forget to stream US fans (101,964) by Pedro from Brazil
According to Talk of the Charts, Brenda Lee's "Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree" is challenging "All I Want For Christmas Is You" for the #1 spot on next week's Billboard Hot 100 based off of early projections. Brenda's lead over Mariah on Spotify is up from ~25% last week to over 30% in the first three days of this tracking week. Paired with the incoming collapse of holiday radio, Mariah is expected to lose more points via radio, making this week's race close.

Walter is the one lying and fabricating stories because he sold his rights to the song for a fat pay check a few yeas ago but now the song is getting bigger and bigger every year while Mariah refuses to work with him ever again. Karma.

Merry Christmas to All on MTV (101,958) by Lee from USA
It was on MTV like two days ago. After years of snubbing her at the VMAs, I thought they were just clout chasing, and I was right. It pulled nearly 4 million viewers when it premiered on 12/20. The VMAs and RRHOF ceremony couldn't pull that off even with well-known artists.

Does anybody know if the concert aired on MTV in any countries? I remember the press release said it would but then I heard that it was taken off the schedules. Did it in fact air on MTV? I really hope so as more exposure for MC at this time of the year will set her up nicely for her next project.

The cringe of it all (101,955) by Edward from USA
The thing about AIWFCIY is that the lyrics are as important as the music. It is true that Mariah doesn't read or understand music like that, but it is not less true that she wrote the lyrics all by herself. I think she should've given him 30%, but that wasn't the case. I think Mariah was too generous and inexperienced, she was only 23 at the time.

I don't think we will every truly know truth behind all this, but I'd take a Mariah and Walter collaboration any day. Oh and 1993/1994 Mariah too. That's my favourite era of hers.

It is a great song indeed. I loved it since the first time I listened to it. It is just one of those songs that's great lyrically and musically. On top of that, Mariah's yearning makes it perfect. The three original songs on that album are simply great. I know many here don't like "Jesus Born on This Day" but I do love it. Merry Christmas Stacey.

Walter A. sold his rights (101,952) by T from USA
He sold his share of rights and then the next year Mariah started to ramp up the promotion like never before. It even went to #1 in 2019. I think she was pleased that he wasn't going to make a dime off the success so she really went into overdrive. Before that she would be working her butt off and making him rich in the process. Just like during the concert she mentions Marc Shaiman for CTIITAA but not Walter for her biggest hit AIWFCIY.

The cringe of it all (101,950) by Bobby A from United States
When you have the world's attention and you are shining, there is always someone who is going to try to take your shine away. Walter A. is bitter because no one is calling him to collaborate with. His sound is outdated and quite frankly boring in today's pop music world. MC made him famous and now he is always speaking negatively about MC around this time every year. Ryan Tedder took his place in the music industry. Hopefully, we will get a Ryan Tedder/MC collaboration soon. Why you mad Walter A.?
